  • I take a look at finding photography inspiration which resulted in the worst photos I've ever taken! Sometimes we can lose our inspiration, motivation and the drive to create.
    Have you had this problem?
I try a photography exercise which results in some interesting images, to say the least. Using my Canon 600D in 2020 was also an interesting factor! I haven't used it for 5 years. It took a long time for me to overcome this 'writer's block' scenario and I wanted to share what worked for me. I'm pleased to say my motivation has returned & it's all thanks to The Photographer's Playbook. Photography inspiration can come from a variety of sources: books, music, art, conversation, trying something new, the list is endless. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Okay. There are 3 things I need to mention:
    1. I'm sorry about that really annoying mic interference issue. I have solved it and the next video will be fixed!
    2. I forgot my camera was on AUTO white balance. The colour temp is all over the place. Rookie mistake.
    3. My eyebrows are getting *way* out of hand.

I really like this concept. I think I'll try this with a digital camera where I'm not worried that every frame will cost money! Thanks for the videos

Really great video! I have struggled as well with inspiration for my photography during 2020. This video really got me motivated to take more photos. I will be sure to check out the book you mentioned in the video as well.

Thank you William. It’s been a tough year for all of us mate. I’m stoked the video got you motivated, you really should get the book! There are so many exercises and it never fails to inspire me.

I’ve found myself starting to have the same issues recently, it’s like I know I want to keep doing photography, but I just can’t bring myself to go out and do it. I hate forcing myself to do it because then I can’t come up with organic ideas, but it’s been too long of a wait to keep sitting and thinking

I actually filmed a reaction to first seeing the images but it was more stunned silence haha. I couldn’t believe how bad they were haha! Thanks for the support Marc!

Here’s some friendly advice: don’t use a 50mm on a crop sensor for this challenge, or you’ll end up with some images like I did haha. It really does get the creative mind in gear though. Have fun!
