The thing to remember is that for those of us that were watching it live, there was about 4 months between the Christmas episode and the start of season 6, so it didn't feel like an issue that it didn't pick up at the exact same point.
Now we begin the best arc of Moffatt's era.

I love how real life father and son played "Badger"... I mean "Canton Everett Delaware III, in this episode.
Strange, but having watched the episode, our dear reactors then spend the entire post episode discussion talking about why Amy and Rory weren't with the Doctor in the beginning. It's almost as if they had completely forgotten about the aliens when they weren't looking at them! 😱👽
I have no idea what that 'cold open' banter was about or who these two cuties are, but that was soooooo much an adorable way to start a reaction :)

My opinion(don't know if I'm in the majority or minority)Matt Smith's seasons get better as they go
I grew up with The Doctor as a kid, remember regenerating into two and then so on, my Doctor was Tom Baker, everyone has one, when Matt Smith came along, I was nope, after three episodes I was there, after watching his run, I rate him as good as fourth Doctor, you guy's have a lot to look forward to.
I love Matt Smith as the Doctor so much, both Smith and Capaldi are perfect in the role to me.

Just wanted to thank you for your reactions. SInce we've got past S5 this is where I will only check in intermittently; for various (spoiler-y) reasons I didn't like the story after this; though I did stick around until halfway through this season. S5 was the only season of the new incarnation that captured the magic of the show I grew up with. Anyway; I enjoyed your reactions immensely and, again, wanted to thank you for the fun.
