Hi Darryl. I have the same MPC, the JJ HR* 6*, and I love the sound of it! I also have a JJ DV 8*, which also sounds good but in a different way, but I get tired too soon with the DV's bigger opening. However, I like the 9* for recording melody lines where I want to do whole-step glissandi by embouchure, the HR 6* only allows me to glide a half-step with full control.

Shame, you have a wonderful sound and the video recording keeps chopping. I just purchased my JJ HR 6* Soprano Mouthpiece. I was playing on Vandoren MPCs specifically SP5. Vandoren was good to get me into the world of better setups, but now I have that addiction to purchasing the best. I just got a Selmer S80 Tenor Sax MPC. Using a AL3 for my alto and a raw Otto Link for my Bari. *Back to your video, I am glad you get the 6 and did the review on it. The mic trick was awesome so when I start recording I will record at the bell instead of the chamber.*

What size reed and what type of soprano sax are you playing ?
Is this one easier to control than the super jet?
I would say so, but the super jet is worth adjusting to in loud band situations….it helps get you over so you can feel it
