I have bought the new Seat Ateca. I must say i was impressed with it because my car has of course "cruise control", but on top of that it has camera's in the front, so it sees the cars in front of me and when it gets closer to a car or when a car change lane it brakes automatic too. So I thought that was a nice feature. But this Audi actually change lane itself with even turning on the signal to go left or right. that is great and it's absolutely going to go fast over to autonomic driving if it's going to keep going at this pace. I think in a couple of year, it would be a possibility, of course, there is much to learn, because when you have constructions on the road etc... it's not easy i think. But we are in our first steps to do this good i think :-)
Autonomous drive is quite nice technology, but it still has quite a long journey until it's truly safe. The roads will always have surprises and then there's snow which changes things drastically (I know that at least Ford is working on a solution for this and other manufacturers probably too). Then there's of course the tire degradation which is a something that needs to be taken into consideration(and I'm sure manufacturers are working on that also). Anyways don't get me wrong. If I had the money for autonomous drive car, I'd be the first in line to get one, but I just hope that the working solutions for those challenges will come soon. And thanks for the great video as always!
What's interesting to me is how it's appearing in cars that are on the road today, just bits and pieces. like traffic jam assist. This is really the feature that I'd find most useful...that and being able to sleep at the wheel! lol
Can I just say this could eventually stop drunk driving? I mean it's practically a taxi so as long as they didn't take over they could be fine! Also falling asleep when you drive.
Minor typo noticed at the end of the video. It says "Subcribe". A wee little "s" missing. Still love your videos nonetheless! Keep them coming. I want to be an early adopter of autonomous driving cars. I have assistive cruise control now on my Subaru and I use it almost every time I drive. Is Alexa coming to cars this year too?
I can take over at any time and the car coming to a complete stop is the next level of autonmous drive (level 4) that the car can come to a complete stop in any conditions. In this level the driver is still responsible.
technically i wasn't supposed to have anything between myself and the steering wheel..in case the air bag needed to deploy. Trust me! I totally wanted to see if there were any Pokestops on the A9 XD
Now a year later, where are all the videos about this car and it’s autopilot. Audi is good at these kinds of things. Now this year, its the e_tron. Try to stay relevant through gimmicks, like Porsche and Benze. People with limited foresight will believe them. But wise men will see they cannot sell EV without hurting their ICE products. They will not be committed until much much later in the game. Their cars still will be outdated as soon as you drive off the dealership, because they still build cars and have attitude towards the product like they always have in the last 100 years. You want a more powerful car? Buy the next year model. Meanwhile, an American company are selling cars that year after year, the GPS and map in the car still up to date, without having to bring it to the dealer or pay extra. The cars have more features than when the customers first buy them. Over the air update increases your horse power and top speed. Once a year maintenance service, etc, etc. Get real legacy automakers.
Tesla is the only automaker with full self driving cars in city streets right now.

I guess all autonomous vehicles must have an each other communication for a better performance.
everything would work better if the cars just talked to each other .. agreed!
Innocent י
It is happening! The new MK8 Golf has Car-to-X technology that will allow the car to communicate with road infrastructure and other cars around it.

Yes, this! I can not wait for the day when I can just "continue" sleeping when I'm on my way to work. Or on my way back home from night shift!

Coming here from Random Nation, this is insane LOL so weird!! this was pretty cool. nice of you to share

May take another 200-300 years to turn autopilot world
I will love to see this work in India. Probably the car will get really confused and the AI won't work at all.
Exactly 😂😂😂😂.
Main system ll explode ha ha ha
even he may get depression
Very cool that we're going to be seeing elements of level 3 autonomy roll out this year in the A8...when is that launching anyways?
should be in the first half of 2017..so soon!!!
People are going to fall asleep so much with this if it makes it into most cars.
I don't like this idea, all robotics are subject to failure.
Just like humans ;)
I'm still confused why they still have the steering wheel
during the autonomous drive...is the steering disabled?? and if u don't get back during the auto pilot off...will the car stop?

When will this come out? if it comes out
The future is here
Wdhat about the A7, will it come with this technology. I intend on purchasing one later this year.
Clysen haha
Hats up Hanson
Autonomous car it's really good idea, As per video you are touching the steering,How come Jack knows when to change lanes ?
How does it do off the highway?
Would it be weird to play some Pokemon if you don't know what to do with your hands?
technically i wasn't supposed to have anything between myself and the steering wheel..in case the air bag needed to deploy. Trust me! I totally wanted to see if there were any Pokestops on the A9 XD
Mobilegeeks.de We are all going to hell 😱👹👿💀
I can tell you what to do with your hands keep it on the steering wheel. And stay aware autonomy is nor perfect yet.
wow... that is crazy

And Tesla is the first and only automaker to enable full self driving in city streets.
No thank you
I have an idea. What about a car you drive yourself? Seems like that would be pretty easy.
you need to stay claim and relax, so the magic take place....
That's what he said 😎
this technology is good and bad all at the same time
No more liberty,no more fun of driving.
Take your hands, and then put them on the wheel, alright? Now turn the autopilot off. Congratulations, you can stop whining.
what if emegency ?!
How.???
Is working without human Control
Now that's mobile.
Dinosaur car with autopilot. Maybe they can install it on a Ford Model T....
She was makin me nervous
I would just be on my phone
awful field of view, could you give us a normal driver's view?
I challenge yuh that yur artificial intelligent car not going to work in Indian roads. #yurwelcom
😍😘😍😍
