Hi , i don't edit videos , i do photoshop and software developing , i believe the base model m3 pro with 18gb or ram is more than enough for me Bcz my friend who has the "m1 with 8gb of ram" is earning money with his macbook through coding and the base m3 pro is twice as powerful as his laptop ! i think the specific people who do need more than 18gb of ram is limited to a low amount of professional video editors , am i right?
yeah pretty much 18 is more than enough for the majority of users, especially with how powerful 8gb is in the MacBook Air m1 like you mentioned after 3 years!

Even now, it's a good choice over base M4 MacBook. Esp if you edit videos
