- The watch totally took me by surprise! The available online photography when I ordered it simply did not show the potential.
The Circula Facet is loaded with quality details that are easily missed, you need to start examining it to see all the little things that make it amazing. The dial is just the start!
Check out all the Circula Watches at: longislandwatc...
Thanks for watching.
Cobblestone dial. One for us old-school cycling fans.
watch those rims
They hit it out of the park. The facets are done amazingly well. This has immediately made it to my wish list, where sadly it will probably remain. A bit out of my range but not overpriced in my opinion. Beautiful watch.
That thing is gorgeous front and back. I feel like I can't be arsed to buy a butterfly clasp in a world where quick-adjust clasps exist. SUCH a good decision to put a better clasp on these.
This is astoundingly beautiful! Both the green and the brown looks awesome!
thanks so much.
Way outside my price range but stunning watch. Thanks for showing it to us!
Thanks for checking it out!
Wow, incredible details
Beautiful. Cornelius showed me a prototype at the Düsseldorf Watch Show last October (top chap, btw), stunning in the metal. A deep blue dial would be perfect. But the brown is lovely.
To me, this is pretty much equivalent to Omega Aqua Terra in shape, form, and function, but with much-much lower price, comparatively. And the whole concept with facets all around the watch may seem.... rather enthusiastic and bold on the first glance, but the watch manages to pull off this concept with with little to no effort! I love it, and been eyeing petrol dial Facet since the moment it was announced in November last year as my first watch on a bracelet. Sadly, have to delay the purchase due to being a soldier in Ukrainian army (it's very pricey and difficult to get it delivered here), but as soon as i'll be able to, i definitely will visit Circula at one of the watch conventions))
Thanks for the review of this watch, Circula as a brand and this watch in particular definitely deserve and need more highlight on RUclips!
That’s a beautiful watch.
sure is
Oh man! This has Seiko Ginza vibes but you could actually get your hands on one of these! Gorgeous!
This is a gorgeous watch specially the green, though I rather prefer the butterfoy casps I think it goes nicer with the elegance of the watch.
thats a proper eye popper
sure is!
What an elegant - yet highly functional - watch. Very cool indeed! I actully prefer the brown dial...
thank you
😮 Awesome! My pick is brown.
it's a gorgeous watch!
Love the dial on the Spinnaker collab as well as that circula beautiful watch(s)
Beautiful watch. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Stunning
Thanks!
Nice move with the clasp
now this is the design style at a fair price that shows up the big Swiss brands as unimaginative and resting on their genta and past success laurels. If this watch was AP or PP it would be $200,000 or more.
Somewhat Seamaster and Patek vibes with the bezel and bracelet styles. Very cool.
Sweet looking watch Marc! I knew what this was from the thumbnail 🤣
awesome!
Gorgeous. Thanks for sharing this.
Outstanding watch.
Gorgeous job.
Nice watch, reminds of the Seiko Laural Alpinist "Ginza".
yes, same vibes
Seiko had a similar dial in a limited edition of the alpinist (the 3rd one which looks like a reissue of the laurel ) and in the same color
the brick pattern one?
@@islandwatch SPB259J1
Sharp looking watch 😊
thanks!
Stunning watch Mark, thanks for bringing something different again, you can see the work that’s gone into the design & the execution & quality looks typically German. Tempting.
The dial reminds me of floor tile or brick road work. Like an old school round-about. Very geometric with the rectangles. But the arrangement looks chaotic like a hand placed brick road!
I thought Roman roads when I first saw it. It's a handsome piece, that's for sure.
@jakemurphy9536 yes, I agree. I dig it :3.
Yeah, exact vibes.
Interesting watch but some tweaks which would be interesting to see
1. The dial is the key here so removing the date window would be nice. Not all watches necessarily need them. I'd even pull back the Hour markers to the length of the minute markers to give an undisturbed view of the dial.
2. When we zoom in the tiles at the centre of the dial are more spread out due to the shape. Can understand why but it creates larger gaps. Maybe change the shape a little bit to fill the gap?
3. The rotor on the back has same patterns as the dial. I would love to see it painted the same colour as the dial. That would be an interesting touch.
That dial is genius
Would really like to see that dial in a shade of blue. Bracelet swap is perfect! Thx Mark.
thanks!!!
I really dig how they do green/aqua on their various models.
yeah, that petrol is awesome.
Beautiful watch. Really like seeing the G100 in more watches I hope more brands use them. I agree the clasp needed that change. I’ll have to check this brand out. I don’t like their other model you showed but this one is really nice.
thanks so much!
Is that the BRAC-03 clasp? Nice watch, a lot of hard work there.
Art
Where did you get that awesome Lunar Pilot wall clock?
@MrRedty i saw one on the Bulova website for like $120.00 and Amazon for around $90.00. I needed one.
from Bulova, where else!
Very nice looking watch and the specs 👍
One thing I noticed on the brown dial is that second hand just disappears.
wonder if that's a good thing? Guess not
Very cool! You should have a contest to guess how many little blocks are on the dial. Closest to the correct number wins a watch or something. 🤔 Thanks Marc. Have a great day! 🙏🏼
Like a jar of jelly beans!
Don’t like the name branding but the watch looks phenomenal!
Love seeing more brands using the G100 instead of SW-200s. The 200 is not a good movement. Awesome watch, reminds me of a GP.
thank you
Wow, I hate you for showing this to me. I need it! Haha
Thise "Pforzheimer" from Circula looks amazing but it comes with a price catch. I know it is a quality watch no doubt. I know the place, they used to make the best dials in Germany even Glashütte had their in Pfrozheim made until 2019. Still expensive for many of us.
thanks for watching!
very nice!
thank you!
Does the bracelet taper at the clasp to something like 18mm? Hard to tell with the imitation integrated bracelet thing going on
yup
Great looking watch. I like everything except the name. Circula. Sounds like Dracula 🧛♂️ 😂
LOL
I've been trying to get Marc to re-issue that beautiful ISL-10 diver for over a year now via e-mail, lol! I think he put that on just to spite me!
The dial reminds me of a cobblestone walkway.
Beautiful watch, but what in the world is telling them they command that price? Just genuinely curious.
from a big brand, this is a 5k watch easily.
@islandwatch not knocking them but I'm not seeing the $2k. Maybe I'm just to budget conscious
Aka cheap
Amazing but out of my price range, really want a San Martin, and Henry Archer with that Miyota 9000’s series.
Circular: we have the Seiko Alpinist Ginza edition at home
I said it outloud with you. 😂
Dial is very nice, if I’m not a fan of the bracelet
No worries, thanks for watching.
What does Made in Germany mean? Swiss movement aside, are the other parts all of German origin?
Not much, actually. It's not tightly controlled.
Heck this watch is gorgeous. For over 2k, I ran for the exit door. Why a la Joux Perret where a Miyota 90 series would have done more than sufficiently the job and would have dropped the price to at least 1k!
When I saw the dial on thumbnail, I got a feeling it’s an integrated.
This make CW SW300s not feeling expensive, I have been complaining they are too expensive for CW consumers.
thanks for checking it out
Very nice watch. Premium movement and materials but a watch for someone who can afford to add it to their collection rather than someone who has saved for that special watch. Over 2k is a big chunk of change for a watch brand that most people would not be aware of.
This is exactly what I’m thinking when getting something for that kind of money. Brand recognition is a must on that price range. That’s not to say these are absolutely beautiful watches
That's a valid point, however, to many the brand doesn't matter. Buy what you like. If you need a brand name to impress yourself (or impress others) then you are missing out on so much, not only in watches.
@@islandwatch Exactly. The buyer of this watch will chose it because it makes them feel special. Many people are wiser than just sticking with tried and true well known brands exclusively. There are many artisans in many fields who may not be as well known as their competitors, but offer qualities and features not offered in more mainstream offerings. You don't need to stick with Adidas or Nike or Gucci when there are some kickass fashion brands that are much smaller, for example. Maybe people won't recognise the logo on sight, but I think there's so much more to things like fashion and watches than just a label.
I for one think that a brand that flies under most people’s radar is a plus.
Cool😮
From the thumbnail picture, i could tell it's a circula. Fascinating company but could've made some thinner watches. They are in the same country asDamaskoo after all.
oh the stories I could tell
This "unmatched" watch isn't "faceted", but rather "multifaceted". 😉☺️🐶
very nice! I see what you did there.
Very tasty watch. I was very interested... until I saw the price. Alas, I'm on a tighter budget than that. But a beautiful watch to admire nonetheless!
Wow what a beauty but at 2k its a little bit out of what I want to spend at this moment. Maybe next year if the economy improves and if there is no layoffs at work. We already had a small one in Nov despite double digit revenue growth, however the CEO and several VPs left within a few weeks of each other so there is a cause for concern 😂
thanks for checking it out!
@ its a beautiful watch and wish I had one. Just need to get through some uncertain times
IWC engineer homage?!😅
This dial would drive OCD'ers crazy
ha! It should would.
Do we have to worry about crooks dropping the movement to steal the palladium? lol. All kidding aside, it's a nice-looking watch!
LOL
gimme.
:)
Circula makes fantastic watches. Quality is very high. $2k though. La Joux-Perret movement🤔 Looks nice but a Sellita SW300 would have been a better choice IMO. The dial is superb, the bracelet is better than a Grand Seiko. Overall a good, good value.
If it was a Glashutte priced as this is, then it would makes sense.
LOL
nah, I just bought a Longines for 2k. i won't pay the same for ...circula?
If brand means something to you, then that's fine.
@@islandwatch a brand? longines is a symbol in horology not just any brand
i have a mix feeling for the price.... otherwise it's a good looking watch.
I get that.
2k! Ai, ai, ai caramba! …. But really, I don’t need a watch!😂
I like the Circula brand among other German watch brands, which I think they are very underrated. But why did they have to make a total rip off of Doxa Sub????!!!! (i.e. AquaSport II)....
you think it's a rip? That's interesting.
@@islandwatch Look at the Sub 300. Even bracelet is the same. I think Doxa called it "Beads of Rice" bracelet they had been making since 1970s. If you don't like the words I used, I can call it a "homage"... There was no reason to do it. Doxa had been making them since 1967. It looked like Circula is only 58 years too late :D That being said, I still like the other watches they make. ProTrail Sand looks great... ProFlight Blue has a lovely dial.
When it comes to German watches, there are a lot of underrated brands, such as: Stowa / Tutima / Sinn / Nomos / Wempe / Hanhart just to name a few... Not to forget the big boys such as Glashütte and A. Lange & Söhne...
It made me a bit sad to see Circula releasing AuaSport II... left a bad taste in my mouth.
@@Gawriify The AquaSport II is no not inspired or copied of Doxa, it is a re-issue of our own design, see here: chrononautix.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Circula-Aquasport-Diver-Taucheruhr-21-scaled.jpg
Hello Marc. Very nice in that blue-green colour.
That one I could pull off as a dress peice.
it is quite versatile
Huh
howdy
Without the bezel it looks like my Aqua Terra
hmmm. Interesting perspective.
That Circula dial is awful. My OCD is going crazy at all the bad gaps and little wedge pieces.
If that were block paving it would be an amateur job.
I think people confuse a different looking, or complex to make/handcrafted dial, with a good dial.
A dial is more about design than excessive craftsmanship IMO, It should be subtle quality and match the watch.
Big chunky H Link integrated bracelet with tiny mosaic pieces just looks mismatched to me.
Case looks a bit too small for that bracelet/external lug width too (and I like a bigger lug width!)!
I was thinking $5-600 dollars lmao whoops
2.5k$? Lmao.
Remember USA the Donald just made this watch 10% 15% 20% more expensive..........there u go......😉
Worth it!
scary how much people don't know.
Marc 👍👍🏴🏴✋😁
howdy!
The only dealer I would buy a watch from 👍🏴😁✋
