When my great grandparents moved to land east of Springfield up the Mckenzie to their land donation claim, they were next to the property I now own. My property was at least by oral stories a pirate hops farm. It was unclaimed land from the Oregon land donation act, a hops farm, which my great grand parents bought out from the hops growers by purchasing it from the state of Oregon.
My visit to Bavaria inspired my admiration for hops-production. My visit to the Czech Republic inspired my dedication to Pilsner (REAL Pilsner). My later return home to Astoria, Oregon revealed that the Buoy Beer Czech-Style Pilsner had superior qualities. Local ingredients and local craftsmanship provide a superior product! My airfare was wasted.
nice little documentary, but whats with all the american exeptionalism? as a german, i wouldnt say american beers are necessarily the best in the world
Agreed. Bavaria and The Czech Republic set the standard, but new-world craftspersons have blended local ingredients with old-world skill to produce some outstanding brews.
@@lawrencebeeler6273 India pale ale was British pale ale that British brewers added more hops to so that the taste wouldn't degrade as much when it took the long journey from England to India.
Wow! This had some great interviews and beautiful shots! Great work OPB!
