@Racsowar That was Genesic GaoGaiGar using his 'Genesic Hell and Heaven' attack; combining the powers of protection and destruction into one and pretty much owning anything unfortunate enough to be in his path...such an amazing all-star opening movie though isn't it? :)
Combattler V was the first Gestalt- a robot that is combined from four or more pilots physically attached to each other. Getter Robo was more like three combinations into one unit, but was always one robot. Mention for Raideen as well, being the first Super Robot built by magic and not science.
the F91 and Crossbone are absent from SRW Alpha. The list goes: the Albion units from 0083: Stardust memories Zeta Gundam and associated units ZZ Gundam and associated units Nu Gundam and associated units plus the Gundams from SEED.
this is in fact one of the later stages in the game, where you have to fight through to the center of the enemy's hive, help the Buff Clan (the first enemies) and finish off the Gunbuster anime.
The Buff Clan are not cooperating with the aliens; they are as shocked as anyone at the STMC. In the mission where the opening occurs (late in the game) you actually have to help the Buff Clan survive an STMC assault.
in the game the Eva series is like unstoppable with that AT Field, i played it and Eva-01 is like my vanguard for everything, combo attacks with 00 and 02 is powerfull
You still get to defeat the Buff Clan and a lot of the movie Be Invoked is played out- except that the Ideon crew and their supporting cast largely survive.
True. I'm sure we can ALL agree that the Tengen-Toppa Gurren Lagann could destroy them all, especially with the ability to destroy an entire galaxy just by punching it. Not to mention it moving at manmy times the speed of light.

wow yeah theres so many games that bring like a combination of the all time greatest animes and games together but there always only in japan. Typicaly we in the U.S. only get the basic stuff =(
I know I've said it before but...WOW.... Yeah, I know the licensing fees would be astronomical, but translating and bring this game out in the States would be money in the bank...well, us Otaku fanboys would buy it at least.... :D

The game was interesting but I found the clash of animated characters to be a little jarring, going from art with old fashioned shounen to new age shounen, going to shoujo-ish, and ending with original generations art
Perhaps you don't really need to know extensive japanese but if you want to know what the hell is going on in the story then yes, you do need to know japanese.
