glad it was helpful! Shame if people don't understand its capabilities.. ON1 can still improve usability though

Thanks for your show n tell. I like your ideas of when to use which tool. Regarding the confusion about the Quick Mask AI: when ON1 2023 came out, at first they deleted the older Quick Mask version with the brushing Keep/Drop. ON1 heard our complaints and brought it back. They gave it a different but similar name. I'm glad we can still brush Keep/Drop.

Yes I do remember that. I even did a video saying it was a mistake since super select had some flaws. Glad you found the tips helpful. ON1 has so many choices I was confused back then but much wiser now!

Thanx for the video. Good and to the point . The when and why together with the how is always my big issue with editing lol .
Bit of lag in sound vs image it seems but not too bad .

Good tutorials on ON1 masking..which can be very confusing!
How do you access the Options menu for the perfect brush? Unable to find it, though it is covered in the manual

you have to click the button to the left of the "size" label. It looks like a circle. A drop down should appear.

Thanks for this. do you know if there is a way to intersect masks in the same way in Lightroom?

Hello, unfortunately as far as I'm aware there is no intersect operation in ON 1. You have to manually add or erase from the mask.

Can you use masking to eliminate or delete objects or people?

No. In ON1 it is used to adjust color, brighten/darken. They have a separate tool for that purpose but it doesn't rely on masks.
