Im in GCC for past 10 years. The looks of this vehicle may not impress at first, but you will love its offroad capability. Qataris here are crazy on this vehicle. Normally vehicles are much cheaper here than in India, but a 3 door jimny here costs almost 20 lakhs in inr.

I was driven both Thar and Gurkha, both are equally capable vehicles, but I still can't comment on their 4x4 capability, wish to experience the hard terrain one day, I love to drive Jiminy if I get a chance, my only concern is the engine performance, am pretty familiar with the k series 1.5ltr engine it is simple day to day engine for normal usage, not suitable for an enthusiastic, why did Suzuki use the same nontorquey engine on jimniy, they should have used the invicto 2ltr toyato engine in jiminy, for bettery ofroad capabality. That is ny opinion.
Good suggestion
The 1.5 is perfectly adequate for low range and all terrain applications. Only on the highways do you require more power but the dimensions and shape do not inspire confidence to give more power. It is a narrow and tall car and very easy to topple in high speed turns. Mileage is another constraint. This 1.5 will give 12 kmpl max. The 2.0 will give you 6 kmpl.

This is one car Iam buying with out a test drive… based on media reviews and it’s success in international markets. The dealership has no test drive vehicles, but has vehicles to sell. It would be available for delivery from the coming week, as RTO Approval has been got in Tamil nadu
Do not buy the vehicle without a test drive. If you have a money tree, then no problem. Else wait for a few months, take user reviews then test drive and decide.
