I absolutely love that you give the bottom line in the first 30 seconds so we can either walk away from the shelf, or skip to the relevant part of the video! Thanks as always!
Was in a pinch , got this beard wash at Walmart today. Definitely feel better about what I’m about to be putting in my beard. Hoping the ingredients haven’t changed since this video is a few years old. Always great to know I can come to your channel and gather info on so many different companies. Thanks Dan
Good to know I'm a truck driver and see these products at the loves and pilot truck stops and I have tried there beard wash and it does feel good but haven't tried body wash yet now I know it's good I'll have to try it out love the videos Dan
I have tired the soaps and Deodorant and I love the smell and the lasting power of the deodorant. It powered through a shirt stuck to the back day. The customer service is top notch as well.
All I've tried is their bloody knuckles hand repair balm & I absolutely love it,I keep a jar in my truck 1 in my toolbox at work & 1 on my night stand... Absolutely the best! My hands have never been so healthy feeling & hydrated
I've been using Duke Cannon products for about 2 years and I can't get enough. I hate that you're allergic to wheat/gluten, because the beer products are my favorite.
Thanks Dan C I recently went to a local bargain/surplus store where they get the majority of their stuff from Target. They had a bunch of Duke Cannon Christmas sets with a full size wash and (2)1/2 oz beard oils in each set for only $2.50. I bought every one they had! I already knew that I liked the wash (thanks for the heads up) but it was my first time with oil, so far so good with me. No crispies, feels great, smells great. Thanks again
I’m glad you said that about the feel of the oil. I recently ran out of oil and decided to give the Redwood scented oil a chance. I enjoyed the scent and really noticed the orange essential oil off the bat (almost a creamsicle or orange tic-tac scent), but a couple hours later, my beard felt extremely dry and crunchy. Running a comb through it was a nightmare. I appreciate knowing that I didn’t do something wrong...
I tried the Redwood balm and didn't care for the scent. Mine was from Target and looked the same as yours. The balm itself was fine, but it had a more firm hold than I prefer.
Duke Cannon balm had become my go to balm lately. It's a bit greasier than some, but the hold is great and the Redwood smells amazing. Also very reasonably priced.
I love Duke Cannon products. The beard oils do leave your beard a bit dry, but omg the smell is so good!! The solid cologne is amazing and their big ass brick soaps.
So far I have tried a few of their products at this point. The body wash was good, but not my thing. I much prefer the big bar of Buffalo trace soap they have. I also use the beard wash and I have a few of their solid colognes as well. As far as the "best" quality product I have tried from them is the bloody knuckles. That stuff is amazing. I do all of my own mechanic work as well as woodworking. By far the best hand cream I have ever tried. All of the other products I think that I am into the Buffalo Trace scent mainly. Great video and I will probably pick up some of the balm to try out.
I already mentioned Duke Cannon. For me: wash. Oli. Balm. I have a baby beard, so on my face it feel as light as a spider web. Your least favorite body wash is my least favorite. Reminds me of pine tar. It's okay but the green one Is AWESOME! Thanks Dan!
Anyone else has a problem like me? Wanting to try all these new products but already got too much on the shelves! Iam gonna have to get samples instead for now on😎
I've used Duke Cannon for some time now, I love their products their shapoos are great as well. I prefer their bars of soap though because I'm not too fond of the oily feel from the gels body wash.
Love this company. I bought the body wash for 7 bucks at target and my favorite is naval supremacy, smells so good. Thank you for reviewing the oil. I was a tad bit hesitant on buying the oil, but every other product they have is amazing
Loved your enthusiasm! I first encountered Duke Cannon in my Public Library's Gift Store. I was happy to see the Library could profit from them, as well as their Veterans support, etc. But I didn't buy anything because Hydrated Silica put me off the Oil, Hard Water produces Soap Scum, and while their balm looks good (having Lanolin, etc.), I don't use balm much any more. Happy to see neither beer nor Hydrolized Wheat Protein in their Beard Wash set off your Celiac! Their beard wash and body wash definitely will be on the top of my list when I need them, especially as they offer a Veterans Discount on their website!
I had the same dried out feeling with the Redwood. I thought it was just me thinking it with my new beard. Thank you for all the info. I will not purchase items you say to because you’re paid to promote sales. I listen for other educational purposes.
Sooo on a video I say I do not recommend because of a feeling I had from their beard oil, you agree with me. However, on the ones I do like and recommend you will not try because there is compensation for time, equipment, and influence? Wild fact - this video is the exact same compensation and process as every other review video, even the products I recommend.
Awesome video Dan I've been wondering about these products. I've seen them in stores and was gunna try but never did. Thanks for your opinion teach its greatly appreciated. Have a great day!
I was also very surprised and loved the beard wash. I plan on picking up another one when I'm out of my current wash. Their big ass bar soap is good too.
I started with Duke Cannon. I started with the beard balm. It has a great hold. I then picked up their beard oil Oak Barrel. It works great with my beard. I haven't used their products since discovering your channel. I thought their products ended there. But now I have learned something new about them. I will be ordering their beard wash and body wash.
I haven't tried any of their stuff yet, solely BECAUSE they sell in stores. I've had some bad experiences with in-store beard product companies so I generally just avoid them all together. I'm actually needing some beard wash and body wash soon though so I'll definitely have to check those out.
I've tried the bar soaps before and I really wanted to love them because they smell amazing and even can make the bathroom smell just like them after a shower. My problem with them was that they dried my skin out if I didn't lather it into a loofah, which made it a pain because of how huge the bars are (don't drop them on your toes, they're literally bricks). The face wash smells heavy of orange and will clean your face squeaky clean so face lotion may be needed if you don't want to deal with dry skin when making expressions. Finally, the bloody knuckles is amazing for dry or damaged hands and works wonders just about anywhere else you feel a little on the dry side, use lightly though since using more than you need can leave you feeling greasy.
Picked up beard wash and the Redwood scent in the balm. Personally, I feel the beard balm doesn't hold good enough for me. I do like the beard wash however. I found these at Walgreens. Great review Dan!
Solid review brotha! Always wondered about them because their marketing seems really well. Definitely going to try out that body wash for sure. - The Cousins
Dan, great video! I've heard of Duke Cannon, They actually sent out their bars of soap to my military unit a few years back, im not usually a bar soap guy, but their soap was fantastic! It was also HUGE! like they advertise it a big Brick size something like 5oz, for the guys that like bar soap it will last long while. i haven't tried any of there beard products. They also have their solid cologne's that some of my friends have tried and they love them, they are beardless men though, so i wouldn't be buying it because i don't really have the need for it because i use my beard oil for that was well. I also want to try their face wash and scrub so maybe they can send you that in the future. When i finish the body wash im using im planning on picking some of their body wash up. Talk soon, Pete
I have the Redwood oil and balm in my shower bag. It is pretty much the only beard product you can find at the truckstops. I had the same result with the oil, but if I follow it with the balm it doesn't seem to happen as much.
Randomly picked up the beard balm while browsing Target. Love the small and it does a decent job for my beard. But I'm definitely gonna pick up the body and beard wash after your recommendation. Thanks
I have used their soap, well so far just one, and it smells amazing, it has a great lather but it does dry out the skin abit so it's good to have an unscented moisturizing lotion on hand. The face scrub is an amazing exfoliating, moisturizing, and minty feel to it and really cleans up my skin and it pairs with the shaving cream which I use to shape up my beard.
Almost all my grooming products are duke cannon. I got the beard oil and I was really disappointed. The feeling it gave you was exactly the same for me so I will be looking for a new beard oil. But I have used the shampoo, styling gels, soaps, bodywash, all pretty good. The soap is hit or miss, it really doesn't leave a lasting scent like Dr. Squatch did but still is really good.
Tried their oil but don't remember how my beard felt hmmm .but their soap is cool the body wash was nice and their solid cologne is decent, and now that you mentioned how it made your beard feel I gotta pay attention to that myself when using the beard oil
Hey Dan! Love your channel! You’ve given me so much good info on growing and maintaining my beard! I was wondering where I can find your merch, like the shirt you’re wearing in this video? Thanks!
I love their Bloody Knuckles Hand Repair balm. Since I've started washing my hands so much because of the pandemic it's been a life saver. Also love the bar soap, it's really great. Actually didn't know they even had beard products, I haven't seen them at Target where I got the other stuff, but for sure one of my favorite companies for general body products.
I know Duke Cannon from Duluth Trading Co. I used a couple "Big Ass" soaps but, my partner didn't like the residual taste. I saw they had beard products in a Redwood scent (my favorite) and bought the beard balm. The oil is at least $30 anywhere I can find. That's way too much. The balm is exactly as you described in look/texture. I don't get the stiffness or anything in the beard ,however, mine is waaay shorter than yours. The scent could be stronger - 4 / 5 stars.
Duke Cannon Big Ass Soap Bricks are great, the booze ones don't actually smell like beer or bourbon. I do like the Buffalo Trace Oak Barrel one, but the Deschutes IPA (fresh citrus) is my new go-to. Was not a fan of the exfoliating menthol one, even though it sounds good on paper. That one did dry out the skin. The face wash is good too. I'll have to try out the thick wash sometime. I've been using Raw Sugar brand wash from Target and it's excellent.
Morning Professor! I own the redwood scent and noticed there was hydrated silica as an ingredient....your thoughts. The scent is great with a citrus kick
Duke cannon was the first oil and balm I tried when I started to get a decently long beard and I have to say the the redwood oil and balm are to this day one of my favorite scents to use. I’ve binged pretty much all of you reviews which led me to buy and love a lot of other great products and scents but at least once a week I find myself reaching for the duke. I also found that when I just used their oil it did mildly dry my beard but when I started putting a little balm over top of that before I leave, my beard stayed soft and smelled great 90% of the day. Thanks for another great video DanC!
Accomplishment Thick body wash is awesome! My first purchase with Duke Cannon was their big bars of soap. I became a big fan after that. The Redwood Beard Oil has been fine for me. Working on my second bottle now. Would love to try the Busch Sandalwood scent next.
I use the beard oil, wash and balm but my absolute favorite is the “Your hair is a WEAPON” shampoo. I don’t wash my beard with it but does a great job of getting my hair clean. Beard wash has a good smell, not perfumey
I like there bar soaps but I did have this experience with the beard oil before I saw the video. It just didn't seem to absorb well and caused mine to dry out. Thanks for confirming that in the video!
Oddly enough, I received the beard wash and oil as part of my target order this morning. I'll still give the oil a try, but just by the comments and your video I'm expecting it won't be tops. Great to hear the wash is on point!
Good to see your video on Duke Cannon. I’ve had Duke Cannon for some time now & love the Redwood beard oil & how it feels great on my skin! Love the scent as well!! I have the beard wash & balm also. I also use their bars of body soap & they’re BIG bars & last quite a while! As for the other scents w/alcohol & liquor, they will NOT be part of my collection!! That goes for any brand not just DC. Will I buy again when I’m done w/what I have now? Yes!
I enjoy the bar soaps, they last long and aren't over powering, I enjoy the oil and the balm but the cap on the oil is not very sturdy I've broken 2 now and encountered a broken one in the store once and reached out to Duke with no avail as they cannot replace the caps.
12/1/20 I've just recently bought The Duke Cannon Beard Wash at CVS. I couldn't wait to try it. I pour a bit on my hands and began to work in to my beard. It lathered up really good! I love the scent Citrus Hefeweizen. I recommend to you all.
Just this morning I tried for the first time duke cannon best damn beard balm. It smells citrusy. The scent of clove was present but not too much. I also used an absurdly large bar of duke cannon big American bourbon soap oak barrel scent. This bar contains buffalo trace bourbon. There is not even a hint of bourbon. But it definitely smells like oak. The jury is still out on what I think of these. But so far so good. The bar of soap lathered nicely and smells good. The beard balm did have a beaded appearance so I had to make sure the beads melted. I picked both of these up at Walgreens in Groveland Florida.
Just ordered my first "supply drop" (#9). It is supposed to last for 3 months, with autonewal, they drop another supply 3 months later with new stuff. With this bundle, I am getting a big bar of soap, a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner, face wash, cold wipes, and cologne (all from the nautical series). They say it's a $75 value for $50 with free shipping and handling and they are throwing in a free bar of beer soap. We'll see how it goes.
used the body wash and bar soap. wife love the smell. get really dirty wrenching everday. does a great job cleaning up. use the beard butter works great but really strong smell.
Buffalo Trace is my go-to for whiskey sours 🤣 Excellent video as always broski! Once I run through the rest of my everyman jack body and beard wash (great products as well), imma have to give these guys a try next 👍🏻
I'm surprised you mentioned good customer service. I tried it a long time ago because a friend told me to try it and it was cheap. Before I went to luxurious and learned about good oils. I was using one of these oils on Amazon which is a little expensive and went try the oil was horrible and customer service wouldn't refund me. I was like ok fine they don't stand behind the products. I then went to Luxurious and now got nick amazing oil today so will try that.
@@DanCBearded their beard oil doesn’t dry my beard either, may just be specific to natural immunities, everyone is different with regard to their beard and sensitivity, so know with me I have eczema and have to be very careful of what I put on my skin and this is the only one I’ve had no problem with.
I tried the redwood balm a couple of years ago. Didn't care for it. I do however use the big ass brick of soap in the oak barrel scent daily and I absolutely love it.
Haven't use any of their beard products, but I love their "Big A$$ Brick soaps line. They're fantastic and last for a very long time. I'm going to checkout those "Thick" body washes. As always, great review and video, Trusted Teacher!👊
Hey Dirty Harry. I know this was 2 years ago but are you still using the bar soap?? If so, how is the lather, scent duration, recommended scents?. Thinking about trying it so I would love to hear from yoy
@@derekherman6074 Funny you ask today. My wife just got me two bars of their Big American Bourbon Soap "Buffalo Trace" scent and it's awesome. The lather is great and the scent longevity I would say is comparable to other good soaps. For me they last a very long time, and I shower everyday. My wife bought them at Target. Good luck!🥃👊😎
Glad you did this video, I love the brick soap and the cologne but was just about to order the beard products, glad I didn't ,I will just stick with the bad ass beard company
I recently got the RedWood oil but after seeing your review and the comments im just gunna go ahead and give it away. Have many more beard oils to enjoy , Thanks Dan C.
I have only used 2 of the beard oils. One did really well for my beard the other did not. I will most definitely have to try the body wash. Great video as always brother.
I know this is an old video but I just wanna say I agree on just about everything. Loved the beard wash and the oil didn’t make my beard crispy but it definitely was abnormal feeling. I didn’t like it at all. Love the scent though. Haven’t tried the body wash but I have tried the big ass bars of soap and those last forever.
I skipped this review a year ago as I was not using nor did I plan to use Duke Cannon only because I stick to the smaller guys. I received the Big Bourbon (scent names have changed since your review) balm as a gift. As you stated, it arrived gritty but melts easy in hand. Medium hold, fantastic somewhat woodsy aftershave scent, and good ingredients. I think think bourbon or beer ingredients are likely trace amounts and a simple marketing strategy.

Glad you enjoyed it!
As a wizard that prides himself on labeling and design. Duke Cannon has some amazing marketing going on. Props
Agreed! Such a classic and manly feel to it
@@DanCBearded What beard balm do you like the best
You're my personal fave. Great stuff and your marketing makes you stand out.
Bought their Bloody Knuckles hand balm when the pandemic started. Love it. Probably best hand lotion/balm I’ve ever used

I loved the wash and body wash.

Boom, there we go!
I’ve been wondering about the “Thick” body wash. I’m gonna have to pick some up! Informative review again Dan! 🤙✌️
It is soooo good!
It's a phenominal body wash as Dan said. I have the "Accomplishment" scent and LOVE IT.

They do so many things well, but unfortunately not the beard oil
@DanCBearded good to know at least the beard wash is decent
Another good review Dan! Always appreciate your opinions!
Thanks Will!
Tried their oil but don't remember how my beard felt hmmm .but their soap is cool the body wash was nice and their solid cologne is decent, and now that you mentioned how it made your beard feel I gotta pay attention to that myself when using the beard oil
The other products they make are great! I agreed
Great video. Will be getting they’re beard wash. And I’ll give their body wash a try too.
Awesome!
Hey Dan! Love your channel! You’ve given me so much good info on growing and maintaining my beard! I was wondering where I can find your merch, like the shirt you’re wearing in this video? Thanks!
Hey Brad! Thanks for the kind words 👊 www.etsy.com/shop/BeautyandtheBeardMI
Gonna try the beard wash , and body wash ..
Thanks Dan
Nice rodney!
I hearing great things about those products, I am going to have to try them
I’m gonna grab some of their body wash today.
It is a must for me!
Great feedback! Thank you
I had the oil but didn't like it on my beard. The smell was good though.
Agreed my friend!
Spot on with the beard oil. Bought it at Target. Smells great, feels terrible after a while.
Yup! That's about it
Duke Cannon Big Ass Soap Bricks are great, the booze ones don't actually smell like beer or bourbon.
Awesome, thanks Eric!
Morning Professor! I own the redwood scent and noticed there was hydrated silica as an ingredient....your thoughts. The scent is great with a citrus kick
That is a tough one. I'm on the fence with it. It can be done alright, but it can also he done really poorly
Thanks Ben!
I love their bar soap and beard oil
I’m glad the oil is working for you!
Accomplishment Thick body wash is awesome! My first purchase with Duke Cannon was their big bars of soap. I became a big fan after that. The Redwood Beard Oil has been fine for me. Working on my second bottle now. Would love to try the Busch Sandalwood scent next.
Awesome, I am glad it is working for you!
I use the beard oil, wash and balm but my absolute favorite is the “Your hair is a WEAPON” shampoo. I don’t wash my beard with it but does a great job of getting my hair clean. Beard wash has a good smell, not perfumey
Awesome!
Had the same hay beard feeling so I made shaving cream out of the Duke Cannon beard oil.
I'm glad I'm not alone!
I like there bar soaps but I did have this experience with the beard oil before I saw the video. It just didn't seem to absorb well and caused mine to dry out. Thanks for confirming that in the video!
Absolutely 🤝 and their soaps are great. Agreed!
Yes!
That's awesome! Thanks for the feedback Sam!
I enjoy the bar soaps, they last long and aren't over powering, I enjoy the oil and the balm but the cap on the oil is not very sturdy I've broken 2 now and encountered a broken one in the store once and reached out to Duke with no avail as they cannot replace the caps.
Oh interesting!
Try Duke cannons solid cologne, you will not regret
I have heard really good things!
12/1/20
I've just recently bought The Duke Cannon Beard Wash at CVS. I couldn't wait to try it. I pour a bit on my hands and began to work in to my beard. It lathered up really good! I love the scent Citrus Hefeweizen. I recommend to you all.
Thanks for the feedback +
I absolutely love their bar soap+soap bag
Awesome!
Yes I love the bar soap I use the leaf and leather with the technical scrubber. It is awesome. You should definitely give it a shot.
I'm for sure going to! Thanks 👊
used the body wash and bar soap.
wife love the smell.
get really dirty wrenching everday.
does a great job cleaning up.
use the beard butter works great but really strong smell.
Thanks for the info!
came for beard oil, stayed to learn my next bodywash
🤝
Buffalo Trace is my go-to for whiskey sours 🤣 Excellent video as always broski! Once I run through the rest of my everyman jack body and beard wash (great products as well), imma have to give these guys a try next 👍🏻
Two of my favorite body washes ever!
Thanks for sharing !
Hadn't heard of these guys thanks for showing the beard world their stuff. I have to try it out now.
Dude I love their beard oil and all their products, they are all I use
I’m glad they are working for you!
@@DanCBearded their beard oil doesn’t dry my beard either, may just be specific to natural immunities, everyone is different with regard to their beard and sensitivity, so know with me I have eczema and have to be very careful of what I put on my skin and this is the only one I’ve had no problem with.
I have never tried Duke Cannon, the body wash sounds good
I have no plans to use any other body wash!
I tried the redwood balm a couple of years ago. Didn't care for it. I do however use the big ass brick of soap in the oak barrel scent daily and I absolutely love it.
I have heard those are great! I need to try one
I love their bourbon and oak bar soap, plus it lasts so much longer than a bottle
Oh man, this one bottle of body wash has lasted me forever! I need to try one of those soaps though
I’ve been waiting for a Duke Cannon review, I really like there beard wash, and bar soaps. There solid colognes are also amazing.
I am becoming a fan of solid colognes. I will have to check that out!
Dan C Bearded oak barrel, is a must have in solid cologne scent.
Haven't use any of their beard products, but I love their "Big A$$ Brick soaps line. They're fantastic and last for a very long time. I'm going to checkout those "Thick" body washes. As always, great review and video, Trusted Teacher!👊
I need to try one of those soaps!
BABC makes some great stuff!
@@DanCBearded yes they do, my favorite company of all, I also use every man jack if I'm low on BABC
Absolutely love their huge brick of soap. Thsts all I've tried from them.
I am going to get one!
Same here
I'm a trucker and i buy there stuff right at the truck stops and I love there stuff
Thanks for the feedback!
Agreed on the marketing strategy. Trying to get the American "man"
