      +Matias Juarez thank u. RUclips is starting to turn into some realistic income tho. As the views have picked up over time I've been able to justify putting more into making videos. I would still do it for free but not near as often :) I'm really pleased with how far this has gotten in just a little over a year of posting. Very thankful :)

      Yes, the guy is incredible. I watched an iPad rehab stream where he did a double hole 6s+ repair (like 13 traces) faster than the guy next to him could complete an iPhone 4 screen repair. Amazing.

    • @ststele
      @ststele  6 лет назад

      thank u. The audio in this video was recorded on an old HP laptop running Linux Mint + Audacity. The mic is a headset I picked up locally at either Walmart or Office Depot for $10.00. The laptop (EN376AV) was a throw-away dumpster find at one of my old IT jobs so... I have $10 in the whole thing.

    So long screw is basicly datarecovery or nothing.

    Just wanted to ask you, i have iphone 6, a friend of mine was trying to replace home button, with phone on, and says that after he disconected the failty button, the phone just died. It is detected if i enter DFU, but no restore, because it doesnt go anuwhere from DFU mode. What i found out is weird, on usb/charger it draws 0mA, goes to ~450/500mA in 2-3 seconds, then drops to 0mA again, and goes up again, and it just goes up and down. If i disconnect battery, it drops to ~20mA, and does the same thing. I even tried connecting the battery to a power supply, at first the draw its 0mA, and if i press power, it starts drawing 4mA, then 0mA, 5mA, 0mA, 6mA, 0mA, 8mA,0mA, and it just repeats like that. I checked most of the voltage lines, they all seem ok, but all are jumping up and down like crazy.. Nothing is shorted, phone did got wet a year ago, but had no issues at all, everything was fine. Tried changing U2 ic, but nothing, still the same. Oh and one more thing, sometimes, when i press Home button, the charging current draw stops jumping, and stays at 500mA, also the battery current draw is constant at 8mA.. Any ideas? Oh, and there is no long screw damage...

    • @ststele

      There’s a good chance that the new screen may just be defective. That was really common on the 5s. It would be a good idea to try a different vendor/brand as it may solve it. The 5s also had board level touch issues but not near as common as faulty screens. Hopefully this helps.
