I like the 737 photo on the main screen, but short final with no flight plan, auto brake is off, spoilers aren't armed, no course heading, and 114 for the MCP speed?

Using the mouse to control the plane during the takeoff tutorial has failed every time. Not sure what I am doing wrong. The plane eventually spins out on the runway.

I just ordered my computer for my flt sim. It will have X Plane loaded in it and I will be using these lessons to get me going.

Idk if u heard of it, but last month, the Cathay Pacific Airways said farewell to the jumbo with a special flight numbered CX8747(as 8 pronounces like bye in Cantonese),the flight flew through the harbour of Hong Kong at an altitude of lower than 2000 ft.... and what I'm saying is,i wanna challenge u,to take the jumbo and recreate the flight (I've done my attempt and... well... I failed as the plane over stressed 😂😂😂)

Your vids are top notch. I have used fsx for over 25 years and have just recently installed xplane11. In comparison X-Plane beats fsx in every aspect except the flight training. X-Plane flight school is almost useless compared to fsx. Is there any add on freeware or Payware you would recommend to bring X-Planes flight school par with fsx?
I don't have a license yet. I'm still taking flight lessons. I need 200 hours at least of lessons to be able to enter the program. I'm getting there though 👍👍👍 Great video btw

Hello Jeff, love your videos ! I have taken flight lessons many years ago, and recently i have started studying again because I want to start up again. Years ago I purchased a bunch of Saitek instruments, gauges, yoke and rudder pedals. my girlfriend bought me a flight panel and we both installed everything i had, plus I purchased some new equipment, including a new gaming computer to handle everything. I am in need of your help if it is at all possible. I have xplane 11 installed. Through xplane I have everything calibrated and the yoke, rudders and throttle all work, but none of the gauges, multi-switch, radio panels, or multi-panel work. I researched the spadnext site, purchased the full program, but I cannot get my equipment to work or sync to xplane 11. spadnext has been as helpful as they can, but i am ready to give up. Is there anything you can suggest that I do? thanks a million

You fly at 74 KIAS after takeoff because that is the C172's Vy speed, or the best rate of climb as you know
yes but it doesn't work well with this flight model. I am aware of the 172's Vy speed but we always climbed out at 80 knots.

You weren't at all man! I think all schools train differently. I had a buddy that flew final at 65 knots and we were trained for 70.
Yeah, to land I was taught to aim for 65 knots dirty, and 70 knots clean. To takeoff I was taught to climb out at 74 knots to for my best rate of climb

Hi, about 10 years ago I got into flying by using a simulator on a pc. I then went on to do the real thing. Well, 15 hours at least (3hrs in an aerobatic plane). I ended up changing my career path but now would like to refresh my memory on it all and perhaps get into some real life flying again (as a hobby). Sorry for the novel. My question is, would this work on my 2013 MacBook Air (Processor: 1.3GHz Intel core i5; Memory: 4GB 1600 MHz DDR3; Graphics: Intel HD graphics 5000 1536MB)?

I know it wasn`t in this video but I was watching one of catstrators streams and he said that he was going to have to derate the takeoff. I was wondering if you could tell me what derate means.
