This is 1 of the plenty of reasons why OCRP is my favorite RP server to watch.. from the people who are part of OCRP and the things that are always getting added to better the server.. top notch!
It's crazy to see how far FiveM has come. I remember watching the old school RP videos where you could have like 16-32 people per server. Barely anything added but a trainer menu and a few slash commands and that was about it.
Always appreciate the dedication from you and the entire group, not just great content out of you but the dozens of creators showing their own perspectives of the OCRP world.
One can expect Sandy Shores to evolve and gentrify at least somewhat. I don't think it's too bougie like Vespucci at all. It seems like it what a small town would grow like over the years.
At 5:00, that town reminds me a lot of a town in BeamNG’s Italy map that is tucked away in the mountains. That is actually pretty cool! I enjoy all of the new addons especially the interiors and aircraft. The new Sandy Shores will take a while to get used to seeing, but change was needed for the old town.
I’m surprised GTA can handle all that without texture loss or game crashing. Adding game changing mods in single player is a nightmare from what I remember.
The game still crashes... A lot. Like the other commenter stated, this is basically being forced, and even with the extended texture budget, there is a ton of pre-loading that needs to get done before it's playable. The first time I drove through the new Sandy Shores several weeks ago, I basically could do nothing but sit and wait before I could see the new textures, or just the road, well enough to traverse the map.
Thank you for the insight. I don’t play GTA anymore but that sounds like a headache. It’s cool to see it in action with a bunch of people RPing in one place, but I’m sure all the crashing and bad parts get cut completely

@@eg6turbo92thats unfortunate to hear. I used to manage a fivem server last year and dealt with a lot of these texture issues. I was hoping Cfx would fix this but it seems gta 5 is just too poorly optimized. I'm sure Rockstar has to have worked magic for GTA 6 to look as good as it does, which leads me to believe that modding on GTA 6 will be 1000x easier in terms of texture / memory budget crap. No more memory pool size crashes I'm sure. Assets will likely stream in and out much better.
Love all the little things! I was just on server this morning playing a round of golf and fishing on the new Sandy beach, not to mention the bowling alley for the community event as well. Thanks for all yall provide for us members!

This is why OCRP is truly the best FiveM server imo, some really awesome added features especially the ATC map - that's so cool (as a fellow flight simmer) thank you for the update Jeff and to all who make OCRP this amazing with all the hardwork that goes into running a smooth server!
I love that things are changing like this. GTA5's map starts to feel so stale and dead after so many years with nothing happening. In the real world, things change, businesses go out and get replaced, old buildings get demolished and new things are built in their place, sometimes districts get under new management and the quality of life drastically changes and new beautification projects start to clean the place up, or lose funding and start to fall into disrepair and crime goes up. What y'all are doing makes San Andreas feel alive again.
Yeah, at a minimum they could've finished that massive office tower under construction in downtown. That's just been a fat opportunity sitting still for over a decade now.
Wow! Sandy Shores looks amazing. When you showed the Paletto Police fleet, i noticed the license plates are our FL Endless Summer plate design. Nice touch.
I’m not gonna lie 15 minutes ago I got on and rode through the center of Sandy Shores, and was completely lost. This couldn’t have came in a better time.
Jeff From what OCRP used to be from just being the base GTA V Map to what it is now with the map and the Community its come such a long way and you and the team and the entire community have done such a great job to make it what it is today and to think it was just 6 years ago that it was born, Keep up the awesome work.

It all looks fantastic Jeff, the Xero interiors will make for a more rounded experience for everyone playing with the different interiors, the Sandy rework alone is a massive asset.
The main thing i am most impressed with is the double F feature. The amount of times over the years ive heard you say damnit after getting out and shutting the door during a felony stop is insane and will probably come to an end soon
Ya know, I grew up in Sandy. It wasn’t much but it was quiet; everybody knew everybody. Went off to Liberty City and Vespucci University all the way through my JD. It’s been years. I wanted to get out of the city and reminisce with some peace and quiet. But this Sandy is unrecognizable. Everything is all built up. The houses are nicer, but who can afford rent let alone buying one outright. It was a mistake to go back. You can never go back.
Another cool addition since you have the Maze Bank Arena already would be adding an indoor track for monster trucks and dirt bikes races along with a demolition derby option.

To make Sandy Shores look like today's real urban sprawl, you need to install miles and and miles and miles of apartment buildings and condos. The nice thing is, one interior will work for them all.
Seeing a reworked McKenzie field would be pretty cool too, since the runway is so short, only smaller airplanes could get in there. It can function much like Key West International does in the real world
Maybe in the future, how about a ferry terminal and maybe cruise liners in the future, that could make some good content, with like security rp and stuff for like the police to do bust on and stuff, just an idea, you guys have probably though about it anyway. The updated map is amazing, and great to watch you guys all do your thing on.

Everything looks so good. As another aviation nerd myself, I would love to see something that could be used as a bush plane. I could think of a few cool RP scenarios for if I got accepted into OCRP.
Good lord the map work on this is absolutely crazy. You guys may as well start making your own maps for RP instead of Los Santos. The change/rework to Sandy Shores and the airport is incredible.

While I appreciate the skill and creativity to do this, it doesn’t feel like Sandy Shores anymore. It’s basically Vespucci Beach in the desert.

I love everything, except the hospital... it's to big for the rest of the town. It doesn't fit the rest of the environment.

I mean, GTA really cant handle it lol. We just force it to work. Without the FiveM feature "extended texture budget" we couldnt have done any of this.

The European styled architecture in the Mount Chiliad village is interesting, kinda reminds me of what you would see on Catalina Island.
