One of my favourite things about Nacho is that he showed me that I can pull off black and red. I was always more of a blue guy, but after seeing Nacho, I gave it a shot. Got more compliments in black and red than I ever did in blue.
I think it depends a lot on skintone. I am guessing your veins appear green and you have a 'warm' skin tone. So you can rock red, and blue was almost definitely the wrong colour for you (I'm the opposite). Oddly enough, you only read this stuff on fashion advice for women. As if men don't have skin..
