Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

“Criminals have no recourse”. I love how he used the terminology Nacho Varga used, “I like ripping off thieves because they can’t go to the cops, they have no recourse”.

The most honorable thing Jimmy had done and Chuck never knew about it.

I’ve always felt Saul and Mike have had a certain chemistry. Like I know they kinda get on each other’s nerves but I think they make a great team.

In fairness I could actually see Betsy running her own prison gang

Honestly the Kettlemans were possibly the most infuriating couple ever shown in fictional media.

“You stole from us! We’ll have you arrested” for stealing what exactly? The money you stole in the first place? Ha yeah okay let’s see how that turns out! She’s BEYOND delusional seeing that arrogant smile fall right off her face was fantastic! This is definitely my favorite scene of season 1 it was all deeply satisfying to see Jimmy turn it around on them!

This was the “this is not meth” scene from BB. He knows what he’s gonna do before he even walks in. And with a little dance and show routine, Jimmy has the Kettlemans wrapped around his finger

Saul is such a good guy here. Helping people that don’t want it to save kids that need it.

This scene shows Jimmy wasn't a lost cause or wasn't beyond saving. He did give honesty and doing "the right thing" a legitimate try, but it didn't amount to anything for him and his life. Chuck and all that Chuck represents still judged Jimmy no matter whether he tried doing right or wrong, so eventually Jimmy just didn't care anymore.

The fact that she kept insisting over and over again to their own lawyer that they didn’t take it and then when she realizes it’s gone asks where the money is. The money they “didn’t take”. God she’s so annoying

I love how the husband Craig genuinely liked Jimmy but his wife made him act like he didn’t. If you watch their scene from season 6 at their tax business she calls Craig like he’ll throw Jimmy out but he’s just happy to see him and starts talking like a friend💀

I loved how perfectly Jimmy manipulated the Kettlemans in this scene and made sure his hands appeared clean in the whole affair.
