I'm sticking with the blue cases for aesthetic reasons. I like the look of a full library. It makes me feel like I'm in a video store. Also, when I look for a movie I read the spines. I love how the Kino/Lorber spines all look the same or how the Arrow logos are in perfect alignment. I'm not thumbing my nose at that kind of storage. There's no wrong way to create a library, the important thing is buying physical media.
This is exactly what I feel. I love the unity and the alignment. I would never sleeve. Or maybe not never, never is a long time. 😂 But to me I want the grand feeling of my collection. Sleeving would make me feel like they are burned / copy.
Yup, that's how I feel too. He did say he doesn;t sleeve "collector" type stuff, but I really like the look of shelves of DVD and bluray spies and as you say, some studies deliberately kept their covers/spines a unified design, specifically to appeal to collectors.
I'm only thinking of doing this to the single generic dvd releases I find at thrift stores. Anything else stays.
I adopted this after watching a previous video, and it's been game-changing. I sleeve the average releases now and save my shelf space for my special collection and favorite movies. It's the best of both worlds, and if a disc ever crosses over into the favorite category, it's super easy to put it back in a traditional case and on the shelf. I had quit collecting for a while when I ran out of space and this helped get me back into the hobby.
Speaking as a minimalist AND a collector, this storage solution idea is FANTASTIC. I especially love how they’ve included the felt layer within the plastic sleeve. Helps protect the disc and keeps it clean and scratch-free.
That’s got to be quite the internal struggle
I sleeved 500 dvd's so far. Definitely an excellent product!
Just cut out streaming except Disney+ (for new release shows) and free apps like Tubi about 6 months ago and started collecting physical media after stumbling upon this channel. The collection is still pretty small at around 1,000 titles with a lot of space to grow in a spare bedroom, but this is great for down the line when shelves need to be curated. Thank you 🙌🏼
I'm loving the Tarifold, er now Djois, sleeves. Been using them since I watched your older video, in January. It has saved me so much space. Ideal for the active thrifter. My rule, any case that is damaged or a case with the large flimsy plastic wheel in the middle of a case, gets tossed!
I have to admit that a younger me would call this crazy, sacrilege even. I have no shelf space left. I have stacks and stacks of movies and am starting to feel like a hoarder. I'm going to get these and try it out for my DVDs and generic blus. Thanks for the heads up and tip, Heath!
A younger me would have felt the same way. Then again, a younger me had much less stuff!
I definitely do NOT use these for my boutique releases. But for just my general release Blu-rays it’s a god send.
Yeah, I do this with the generic single disc dvds, and maybe soon for blu's.
I've put over 1,000 DVDs in these sleeves. I was using the notebooks but the shoebox-like cases save even more space so I've begun using them, too.
Do the carboard boxes have lids so you can stack them, or are they just open?
@@semianonymousraccoon2950 The ones I have are just open so they aren't stackable.
The ones I have are open and can't be stacked.
@@TimW-tq2ko Thanks. I ended up just going with a binder I found on Amazon that has room to insert the covers. If these had been stackable I'd probably have gone that direction.
I will definitely consider this for the archives and keep the special packaging and steelbooks for my top favorite films to display.
I've followed your lead and started putting blu-rays that are in normal cases in sleeves, not only is there the obvious fact of saving space, but I actually buy more titles because I'm not constantly concerned about how much room I have left.
The black bins are tempting. Since you clearly have their ear, Keith, send up the flagpole that their next product development should be size-specific dividers.
As someone storing thousands of discs using a basically similar method, I might suggest that you stick something in the back of those pull-out shelving units that props up the discs straight upright (maybe a little block of wood or some folded cardboard or crumpled paper bag). I would be concerned with potential malformation of the discs occurring over time with them resting against each other at an angle. I have no scientific proof of this being a problem, but I've always been very cautious about any potential storage anomalies.
I did this for my blu ray collection. It was just taking up too much storage space once the collection got bigger. Saved so much space and wife approved
The felt inserts are a game changer for me. Super cool! I am going to evaluate my DVDs and see what I want to store this way. I just watch more Blu-Ray and 4K, but I don't really want to toss my DVDs. This solution makes sense for lots of movies! The scratching on the paper sleeve always concerned me a tad. I have no excuse now. Thanks, Heath and Djois! - Heather
Thanks for the update! I'm thinking about doing this because my collection is just overflowing the space I've got. I wouldn't mind seeing where and how you store your sleeved discs in a future video if possible. Cheers!
I would be interested to see that too.
At least the felt lined CD sleeves will reduce the odds of scratching, but I'll stick to my shelves & storage tubs filled with discs.
Just wanted to chime in one week later now that my first shipment from the T3L Shop arrived - the box and sleeves are phenomenal! I have to place another order for more!
Glad to hear it! Thanks for the follow up.
Seriously considering getting these for my dvd collection
I did this to my whole collection already, all 1100. I used another company for my blurays but use the terfolds for my dvds. Terafolds are really good quality. Totally happy with sleeves, they work for me and I have room for a 10x more movies and shows. Terafold should do a bulk option.
Great idea. I prefer the cases that they come in, but I don't have thousands of movies yet.
I've been using the Tarifold sleeves for the past year now thanks to your recommendation and I love them! I've put my entire DVD collection (outside of some of the unique cases and snapper cases) in the sleeves and they've saved a ton of room. I have many of my Blu-rays in them too, though I'm a little more selective with those (for now, I'm sure that will change as I run out of space!)
Thank you Heath I have been putting my DVDs in the sleeves and books.....I have opened so much space....I am going to start with some Blu rays.......
See I like looking at the title printed on the spine and think about 'do I want to watch this movie today or something else?' This is why I like DVD's and VHS tapes sitting on my bookshelves, spine side facing out. I have some very rare movies like 'Lunch Wagon' on VHS and they look awesome sitting on my shelf just waiting to be played again.
I'm able to display my 4K and Blu-ray collections but this did save my DVD collection. I brought sleeves that went in binders. 400 DVDs are now just one shelf of 10 binders.
Game changer!
I watched your video last year and was NOT on board for this idea… I have since hit the 5000 mark on movies I own and space is becoming an overwhelming factor! I’ve ordered some of these sleeves to begin this process to help save some room!!
I havent bought into the sleeves.....Yet.
I'm at the brink where I'm just about to run out of space. If I were to sleeve only my DVD's, not blu's or 4k's it would probably buy me a good 3 - 5 years of blu//4k space.
I'm a limited budget per month for movies so sleeving 400 odd DVD's would keep my wall happy, my wife happy, and declutter for awhile.
I probably got less than a year of shelf space left at my rate of collecting, so I will have to star this video and come back to it.
Great video Heath...
I'm not even out of space and I'm excited to try it on my small cd collection. Like you mentioned with the comment about vinyl, there's something about flipping through that just feels right!
I did this with my cd collection. All 800+ cds fit so nicely on my shelf now 😊
I have been using these for about a year and a half now absolutely love them. I have purchased close to 6000 of these sleeves my favorite sleeves so far is just the boring standard DVD sleeve with no holes. I go and buy for $11 on Amazon, a little square CD holder that has felt and I slide it in the middle of the artwork I love the fact that it has a flap on the top to protect the artwork from dust.
A few years ago, I put several dvds into binders and got rid of the artwork. It's my biggest regret. I think I'll start using this method moving forward.
I do put a felt sleeve in there for the disc itself, so mine are slightly fatter. But worth it IMO.
In case anyone is curious, you can fit multiple disks in the single dvd and blu-ray sleeves. 4 discs in 2 double disc protectors or 4 paper single protectors fit fine and is my limit before I just keep a release in its original packaging.
I like Code Red, Dark Force and Vestron Video, they all number their spines, greatly improving the collectibility. Numbered blu-rays have motivated me to buy some movies I don't even like for completionist's sake.
When i run out of space i reevaluate what movies i actually want to own vs what looks cool and sell off anything under a 7 to fund future 10s. This way im always curating my collection and i gotta say it feels great to look at the shelves and only see masterpieces
I use DiscSox. They can do the Warner snapper cases with no cutting. you pull the cover out of the plastic frame and it fits in their sleeve. Great design. Blu and DVD sizes and multi disc set inserts that are padded. Like you Heath, I only sleeve the titles that I don't anticipate multiple views from. This leaves more room for the titles I want to display. This way I can keep so many more disks in the space I have. Having a vast selection is what makes a great library and sleeves make this possible for most people.
I remove the snapper case from its rails and tuck the artwork flat in a comic book bag. The disc goes into a paper sleeve in the same bag and I store them with my Laserdiscs.
I have started this process since I seen your last few videos at the end of last year. I have over 5,500 Blu-ray's and DVD's. I have currently sleeved 3,000+ movies so far. It's a work in progress but also so fun and satisfying to see how much space it saves. I called a few venues to donate the plastic cases with no luck so I recycle them to the local recycle center. I also put the discs in those simple disc paper sleeves to help keep them in good condition while in the plastic sleeve. Then I put them in these fabric storage cases that holds a good number of sleeves organizing them alphabetically. It's perfect and easier to find and sort movies. I have done my video game collection as well with the PS4 sleeves. PS3/XBOX ONE games fit perfect in Blu-ray sleeves, PS4/PS5 in their video game sleeves they sell, Nintendo 3DS/DS games fit in the CD sleeves, and the basic XBOX/PS2 games fit in the DVD sleeves. The only thing is how expensive it can get but with discounts and specials they sometimes have can help alleviate the cost but makes it a fun project to do in moderation thru the months. Thanks so much for your videos on this subject as it has truly been a game changer and makes collecting fun and exciting once again. 👍👍
Great video Heath. I finally ordered these sleeves and it saved so much space.
I'm glad to hear it!
That's great if, like you, you have a museums worth of blurays and a cataloguing system to go with it. For me, with my aged eyesight, i prefer to keep the cases.
I recently put away some blurays in these leather bound binders from Amazon. I don't watch them often but still not quite ready to get rid of them, they fit great in shelves. I did consider these at one point too,
I'm really focusing on condensing my collection into what I really enjoy and rewatch.
I just wish they came in bigger quantities! At least 100 at a time!
I'd buy them in 500 packs!
@@CerealAtMidnight same
Been using these since your last video and its been great. It's reignited my interest in picking up novied thrifting.
Im sleeving thousands of discs since last year and I love it! I have so much mire room and also much more control and oversight over my collection now... everything is nicely sorted in genres and alphabetical, and is readily available right at my fingertip!
I gave away most of my snapper-cases and found "sleevable" alternatives (DVD oder BD) for them... also I'm just using the DVD-sleeves... because they are cheapest and can house all formats... DVD, BD-Slim and regular, Criterion BDs... everything... and it looks (at least to my eye) better in the shelf if all sleeves have the same hight.
I've been doing this ever since u first showed us this, Heath. And its worked great for me. The only problem for me is sometime they are sold out.
I’ve been kicking this idea for over two years since my DVD and Blu-ray collection has become more of a pain than a pleasure since I ran out of room to store them, which they’re all over my house since the one spare bedroom use to store my collection, in bookcases that covered two of the walls, was overflowing with media. I pulled the trigger last March and went with Tarifold sleeves and felt pouches. First I did about 100 and slept on it for a few days BEFORE committing to this process. Well, after a week, I felt good and committed to doing this to process since you keep all the artwork… I do not save or collect slip covers, so most of them get trashed anyway. To date, I’ve did about 1400 DVDs and about 600 Blu-ray discs at this point, with another 100 of each that will go into sleeves within the next few weeks. My plan is to keep 500-ish DVDs and 500-ish Blu-ray discs on display in that spare bedroom, which will allow it to be used once again as a guest overnight room since it has a sleeper couch. This gives me a more satisfying feeling with my collection since “I’m” now in control, instead of it being in charge. Also, I have been purging my collection of DVDs that I’ve upgraded to Blu-rays over the years. I sell them back to a local music shop for store credit and the ones they do not want, they go to Goodwill or Salvation Army. I have over 3500 CDs and once I’m done sleeving my movies, I’ll sleeve about 1800 CDs as well. I’m storing them in clear plastic media storage bins from the Container Store and they can be stored much easier in a closet and/or under a bed… Six bins will fit under a queen size bed with ease. Honestly, this method is worth it, especially if you have thousands of discs and you haven’t converted your whole basement into a media library…. If “I” had a basement, I would have done that, so this was my only real option that would work for me.
This is definitely a great thing to save space but I have cerebral palsy and my hands sometimes can slip when I’m handling my discs and that’s when I’m intentionally, placing my finger in the middle and thumb on the bottom; so I think I would be far more afraid of getting fingerprints everywhere if I did this. Thanks for sharing though. It’s really interesting.
did this with my cds when i saw your prvious video. Absolute game changer. My wife wants me to do my film collection now
I started doing this because I do watch my physical collection off my plex server and this was a great way to store my disks
An elegant solution for a more civilized age. My only issue is what what I do with my cases? Granted, you can just put them in boxes and store them but I don't even have closet space at this point. I think the ultimate problem is wanting everything when we really should be curating our collections. I'm probably 300+ in my backlog right now and keep adding to it. It's a problem.
Kijjiji them, ebay them, thrift store them, recycle them. That's what i did with my CD cases years and years ago.
I've been using the spacesaver sleeves for 5 years now. I use them for my 12k cds and my small blu ray and dvd collection. Most people hate them but they save a ton of room. Just don't pack them too tight or they will get "ring wear".
Been using them for years for all my standard dvd and bluray cases.
This was an awesome idea......I started doing this after your first video....Thank you for the awesome idea.....
I've been using the sleeves for my 4Ks so far, but my next goal is to start getting my blu-rays under control!
Seems like a good fit for many, but not for me. Now I just need to find someone dumping their cases so I can find some replacement one.
Awesome video as always! Thanks, Heath! God bless and stay safe!
Space ...the Final Frontier ...
Been there, done that. I keep my movies in Clear 12 Gal. Flip-Top Storage Bins, stacked 4 high, with the titles facing out, and with a movie spreadsheet showing which bin the disks are in. I have my favorite films on a Plex server and keep physical disks of my most recent and reference films close at hand for popping into a 4K player for the absolute best picture (although for most I cannot discern a difference between my 4k on my Plex and the physical disk, with the exception of the myriad of “extras”)
I have around 9000 discs and I live in an apartment so I've been using this for a while. I keep in my cellar a few hundred DVD boxes i use when i gonna swap or sell some movies. I don't throw away the cartoon boxes of the boxsets because I use them for separation on the shelves (and just in case i need them again). Greetings from Sweden!!
Amazing!
I used to work in the MOD department of Amazon and I remember the DVDs, Blu rays, and CDs being on the spindles before we put them in there cases
Right? I"m not sure how many people know that.
My Blu-rays / 4Ks are still under 2000 total so I just use the cases and shelves. I have done these for my DVDs. Put the studio DVDs in sleeves and then the box like you and then all of my Warner Archive DVDs (found at pawn/thrift shops for under $1 each) in a binder with the sleeves with the hole punches. That binder can then go on my bottom shelf for easy access. The other DVDs are just in a closet tucked away.
For my snapper cases -- I had about a dozen, I just ended up finding the standard DVD release artwork online and printing it to put in the sleeve. That way my snapper case is unaltered if I ever upgrade and decide to donate, sell, give away the DVD.
Normal Dvd and Bluray covers are not creased or folded. They are bent around the side of the case yes but if you remove the paper and set it on something flat it has no folds or crease. It does take the shape of the case but not damaged. These sleaves make you put that crease or fold in the art work paper.
Some might not care about folding the paper but I have to agree with you. I'd only consider storing the disc and paper insert separately if it didn't cause any damage.
I wouldn't say people don't care, I'd say most of us don't consider folding along the bend to be damage.
I have done this except for the 3 disc specials.
Thanks for the storage solution. I think about trying it out. Where do I get these nice boxes?
I was wondering the same thing?
It’s all from T3Lshop.com. Don’t forget code CAM15 to save some cash!
I'm totally for this for most of my regular blu rays. But I have an old school CD binder that works almost as well. I can't save the artwork/slips, but most of my regular blu rays don't have slipcovers.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the EcoTek brand steelbook blu ray protectors. I put everyone of my 4Ks (except Criterion) in those cases and it looks SO PROFESSIONAL. Takes up more room, but it's worth it for the protection.
When disc is in case its not direct contact, case lets it breathe. When you stack them in tight it starts to ruin your discs with that plastic. Trust me, i had hundreds of dvd ruined in 3 year.
I got a pack of two Blu-ray and DVD disc sleeves. A Lot.
Hey Heath -- My big Q is what do you do with the plastic cases once you've sleeved the movies? I've not sleeved any of my collection yet, but I'd like to save the space. That said, I couldn't bring myself to just throw away the cases. What do you do? Donate? Recycle?
If you can find someone that wants them, that's a good option, but I never really could--nobody was interested. I was able to give away a few hundred, sold about 100, and I ended up throwing the rest away. Most facilities won't accept them for recycling.
Hey Heath, maybe I missed it or maybe it wasn't mentioned but where do you get the storage box thing that you have the 100 sleeved movies in? Looks like it fits them perfect. Is it the same company or a different one? Thanks!
Same place. Tarifold sells one.
Everything in this video is from Tarifold and T3Lshop.com. I will only use their stuff.
Idk man im still on the fence personally, i have over a thousand movies , and i tried the movie wallates like the big ol binders , and went back to the case method, i just enjoy having the cases on the shelf and seeing my collection as a whole
So do you store or sell the empty cases?
I've given some cases away, sold some, and thrown the rest out.
This is nice. Heath do you throw all your cases away or store them?
I tried to repurpose them so they didn't end up in a landfill, so I sold some and I gave some away, but in the end, there's not really much interest in used Blu-ray cases so I threw most of them away.
There was a whole thing a while back about CDs reacting with chemicals in the cardboard over time when they were packaged in cardboard sleeves
Don't know if that was ever proven to be a real problem, but if there's any truth in it then at least the conventional cases keep the disc playing surface suspended away from other materials, although felt sounds harmless enough
I agree with a lot of people it's not ideal but i can understand i started doin this with dvds. I dont have near as many discs as you do but i collect records and other things as well. Space is always a problem for collectors
I need some for my VHS collection 😂
Definitely a great way to save space, and I do need to do that. However, I will hold on to about 30 each of DVD, CD, and Blu-Ray empty cases for when I decide to sell/giveaway a title. There's no way I could sell them in just a sleeve like these.
Great video, my collection is starting to overwhelm my house so I think I’ll have to do this.
You say you’ve tried a few brands but have you tried any U.K. based sleeve manufacturers you can recommend? The Tarifold shipping to the U.K. where I live is a bit cost prohibitive. Keep up the great videos!
Do the discs crease the paper cover inserts? Seems like they would
Thanks for sharing another video on this space saving product! Quick question: Do you also recycle all the unused cases, or do you keep some in a different place for later usage? I only ask cause I can see the benefit of having some extra cases that you can swap out when others become damaged.
When I first started, I hoped I could give the cases to someone else or even sell them. Long story short, nobody wanted them. I threw them out.
Heath, as some people have mentioned that docs could be damaged in the sleeves due to contact with the paper of the cover, what is your opinion on that? Any experience? My attempt would be not to stack sleeves in boxes super tight but with room to flip through.
My opinion and my experience is that such concerns are unfounded. I've had some of my discs in paper sleeves since the late 1990s. I haven't tried to play them all, but the ones I have are fine.
Here's the reality: discs fail. I've had discs fail just sitting on my shelf in their proper cases. I've had off-gassing from those cases permanently bond to some of my discs. Our discs are never truly safe, and they're not going to last forever. Some will last 5 years. Some may last 20. Some may last 50, but none of them are going to last our whole lifetimes, I believe. I used to think they would, but I don't anymore. Every format is corruptible, but at least with this method of storage, I can get my living space back.
@@CerealAtMidnight thanks Heath, I agree and would add to the discussion that many CDs are put in environmentally friendly paper cases by record companies so they are permanently touched by a thick paper. It is hard to get these discs out in some cases as well. I guess many have the 4K Star Wars complete set with the Death Star design. These discs are also packed in paper. This should have the same concern for those. As long as the plastic of the sleeves is not toxic to discs I am fine with them.
But what about season shows where you have 6 to 7 discs per season. I guess they haven't figured that one out yet...
There is no solution for those and you're better off leaving them in their proper plastic case.
Im not sure if ill get an answer on this but here goes anyway! Ive been reading reviews of terifold sleeves wherever i can find them. The only negative so far is that some people are saying that the single dvd sleeves start to split along the seams after taking the disc out only a few times. Have you or anyone who has them experienced this?
I personally have not experienced this, but I haven't taken the disc out of any of them repeatedly.
Wow! That was quick! I'd be curious to see if this has happened to anyone else.
How do you prevent disc scratching from sliding them into plastic sleeves?
The disc is protected before you slide it into the sleeve. Also, discs aren't that fragile.
@@CerealAtMidnight the really cheap DVDr's have scratched easily on me, even with careful handling. Mill Creek 50-movie collection value packs - yes I'm looking at them. My parents limit how much space I'm allowed, I tried the value packs at first, but after two viewings of the same movie, they start to freeze and pixelate. This is why I have so many DVD's now. I think I have almost all of the Shudder horror movies on DVD, every single Shriek Show DVD (they put out the best jungle flicks), blue underground, anchor bay, and all the movies highly recommended by Joe Bob Briggs. I started with the history of horror all the classics, moved on to collecting all the banned video nasties, and spiraled out from there. Jess Franco and Jean Rollin has made a ton of movies easy on the eyes.
Any concerns or experience with disc fogging using these sleeves. I saw a few posts on another forum about it which is giving me pause.
I have far more trouble with the cases our discs come in than these. For example, the new Rocky 4Ks had to be wiped down because they were covered in off-gassing sludge from the plastic 7-disc case.
6:12 I have 3 snapper cases in my collection Oceans 11, Young Guns 2, and Major League 2
I have well over 1000 discs and need to move to a much smaller place. This works for me. (Anyone have useful advice on how to find a new home for all those empty cases?)
But why are the blu-ray sleeves twice as expensive as the DVD size? They of course fit the cover better but it's like I'm getting half as much for the same price.
You'll likely have no luck finding a new home for those cases. Some facilities will accept them for recycling, but not many. Truly, nobody wants them--not even for free.
That's a good question about the Blu-ray sleeves and one that I don't have an answer to. I figure it's supply and demand.
Do you have a link to the holder that you are putting the movies in after sleeving them?
www.t3lshop.com/shop/storage-box-for-dvd-cd-and-blu-ray-pockets-1187p.html
Don’t forget the code CAM15 for 15% off!
Any link for the storage box? I don’t like the binder idea
Everything on this video is from t3lshop.com, including the box. Don’t forget the code CAM15!
Do these fit the art for taller Scanovo cases (Like criterion or Indicator limited editions)?
Those Scanovo dimensions are about half way between a DVD and Blu-ray, so too big for the Blu-ray sleeves. I put them in DVD sleeves and they have a little extra space at the top.
Personally, I prefer the Discsox system. Its plastic is of archival quality and can adapt to multiple discs collections.
To be fair, the same is true of these, and they're cheaper.
@@CerealAtMidnight I find the discs better protected with DiscSox, but any system is good if it answers your needs. I just wanted to say that there are other systems too.
So you used to use bags in your last video rather than those bins. Have you switched all of them up or do you still use the bags? I would think it would take a ton of bins to replace the bag situation.
About the gasing and sludge that can get on cased discs, I've seen this first hand and have yet to find a good way to clean this properly. It would be great to see you do a vid on the topic of disc cleaning. Maybe find an expert on the subject and have them on for a discussion.
Shame I can’t do this with my VHS collection. Had to throw them all away, but in the UK 99% of my collection was plastic case with an art slip.
I kept all my artwork slips just for posterity 😊
I've been looking into these sleeves recently for my (quite small) collection of around 250 releases. A combination of DVD, Blu Rays and 4K. Had a gap in buying physical media as I moved to digital, purely for space saving reasons, but you just can't beat physical media, so I've started buying more again. The downside is I have nowhere to keep/display them. They're all in boxes in a small storage cupboard. These sleeves would make my collection a lot more accessible. I was looking at the binders, but the carry cases seem a lot more efficient, in terms of space and accessibility. I could likely fit 3 of those in my TV unit. I'm even thinking of downgrading some of my steelbooks for standard cases, just so I can sleeve them. My only concern is card slipcovers. I have a lot of these and would prefer not to throw them. Do you know if these would also fit in the sleeves alongside the case artwork?
Well if you use single plastics and fit everything together cover and dvd and stack them like comic book the thick part with the thin part alternating , you save 95% of the spaces.
I didn't like this idea last time I saw one of your videos about it, but now that I think about it, there's nothing unique about those blue plastic cases. I could buy those plastic cases for cheap, years down the road, if I wanted to revert back to thick cases. I will have to consider this if my collection starts to get too big. I wonder about how this would affect resale value though.
Heath or others, are these sleeves good for storing PlayStation 2 and 3 games? These games can have booklets with a lot of pages. But I have seen people sleeve their 360 games in a Amazon review so I guess it could work.
The short answer is yes, I’ve done that to dozens of my games. The long answer is that some games have so much paper stuff that you don’t actually save any room.
@@CerealAtMidnight thanks. That is very helpful. I will start sleeping some regular DVDs and see how things work out.
I still don't like the idea but I have come around to the fact that I may need to be a part of it. It has come to the point where I just am running out of space and this might be the solution I'm looking for.
That's how many of us got here.
@@CerealAtMidnight yeah. It's one of those things where I'm going to feel real guilty about it until I do it and then we'll probably be okay. Do the boxes that the sleeves go into fit on shelves well? I have these custom shelves that I have built in my walk-in closet and I would hate for those to go to waste
Standard US blu-ray cases are 11-12mm wide.Standard UK/AU cases are 14mm wide. Thus the artwork is slightly wider too, of course. Have you tested that / found any issue, or are the sleeves wide enough to accommodate that? Clearly a small difference, but it would be an annoyance.
Both standard US and UK artwork fits with no problem. I've sleeved lots of both DVDs and Blu-rays from both regions.
@@CerealAtMidnight Excellent! Thanks!
