    I've been avoiding AI. Not because I'm against it, but because I feel like I have enough to learn and improve on without delving into that whole new world of possibilities.
    The one place we tried AI: My daughter uploaded the lyrics of all of our songs from our upcoming album into ChatGPT and asked it to give the most and least relatable. It was pretty spot on.

    • @malcomowenflood
      @malcomowenflood  Год назад

      That makes total sense! I'm taking the opposite approach and jumping in head first, trying to find any cool usage for AI that I can - in Music Production, or elsewhere!
      But I don't think AI is something that everyone needs to jump on right now, the best tools for AI in Music Production will likely rise to the top on their own and you'll hear about something that piques your interest eventually, organically!
      Using AI to analyze your album is a fun idea though! I'm thinking up ways AI could assist in a DAW, like a verbal interface where I can make requests to it to control my playback / transport in a session (would be so amazing while trying to track guitar parts if I didn't have to touch the computer and could just ask it to punch me in on the chorus and etc!)

      @@malcomowenflood AI would be so much more accurate at punch ins and removing noise. And yes, we're all waiting for the Enterprise computer in our home. Siri and Alexa just don't cut it. ;-)

      Love this! I was thinking the same thing. I’m more interested in AI for music production right now, but I used to teach guitar and this would have been invaluable as a teacher or a student learning a new instrument!
      Also creates amazing opportunities to learn the production of a song to really be able to zoom in on specific production elements and hear how they were mixed and performed individually!
      People learning songs for cover bands will also be having a great time with this I’d imagine!

    Nowhere on their site can I see the price; even the FAQ blur them out on animations; I don't like companies that hide how much it costs; there are free open-source apps that do as good a job.

      Price was visible on my side - $3.99 a monthly subscription which I thought was very reasonable. They might be experimenting with displaying prices which is pretty common split testing - although I agree, I hate when it’s hidden behind an email or etc. What are the free options you like? I haven’t heard anything remotely as good - including paid Izotope RX solutions.

      I believe Moises.ai added this tiered pricing and Hi-FI version feature after I filmed this video, so it is also new to me. I'd recommend giving the higher tier a trial before pulling the trigger as the standard separation is very good and likely all that is needed for most people!

    hi, i've just created a song with moises in a (rock) genre but need to edit a word... can i do this without losing the specific created track ? many thanks

    • @malcomowenflood
      @malcomowenflood  9 месяцев назад

      If I'm understanding correctly, you have separated your tracks in Moises already, so you'd need to edit out the word in question and re-record it as intended (and remix that portion to match most likely).
      The more common use case along these lines would be to just remove a word (for example a swear word that you don't want present in a radio edit of a song, so you edit out the offending word and rebounce the mix as a radio edit.
      To go a little deeper down the rabbit hole of AI powered audio editing though, you could look into something like Descript Overdub, which might be able to match the dialogue you are editing, and then change the word for you (possibly even keeping the mixed characteristics! I haven't tried this, but it seems theoretically possible perhaps 🤷‍♂️
      Good luck!

    Hey! Great video, great tool!
    Aren't you worried about the future of the music industry? If we come to a point that you click on a button with a prompt and it generate 100 songs in like 2 minutes, as good as radio music, we will be all irrelevant, right?
    My hope is that it's gonna get regulated, in term of copyright, etc, laws are gonna protect all the music data of copyright songs hopefully. I'm curious to know your opinion about it!
    - Lunaar

    • @malcomowenflood
      @malcomowenflood  Год назад +1

      Hey Lunaar! Thanks for the comment! Honestly, I'm not worried - at all! People are already ripping people off, stealing their beats/tracks/melodies, even lyrics sometimes - but that just makes them sound like a knockoff in most cases, and I don't think this will be any different. The people who use AI to make their music for them will end up sounding like all the other people doing the exact same thing.
      Now the folks who learn to leverage AI as a tool to help them make their own music more effectively... They are going to be the winners in my opinion!
      I think AI is going to help people make music, more easily, affordably, and effectively. I just posted another video on what I think the future of AI will be if you're interested in checking it out btw!
      As far as copyright goes - heck ya, I do hope that gets sorted out as well. People should have their property legally protected, so I'm hoping this comes together sooner than later!
      Again, appreciate the comment and you sharing your thoughts on it!
