Dear Claudio and people, although this video is a great demo of your musical creativity and the software possibilities, I would like to point to the following thought:
In my teen days I had a lot of music in my head (already drums, bass, keys, guitar and so on) and dreamed of performing that music.
It started me on the musical journey of working and saving money to buy real instruments and learn to play it, eventually seriously studying including theory, harmony, counterpoint etc etc.
But most importantly: meeting up with all kinds of people to play and learn together! Learn from each other, connect to each other, experience wild musical highs (and lows) together, adventures! Doing gigs, play other peoples music, learn to multi-track record with cassettes or whatever available. That urge to do it all!!
Imigine now a young person with the same mind full of music, and having a tool like this...
I foresee a generation of lonely zombies producing plastik music without social feeling and empathy, with a one-dimensional style that doesn't allow for openness to other musics and attitutes...And how will this music be performed live? By a group of robots loaded with files?? Do androids dream of electric sheep? :-)

Though it's not "perfect", it is an amazing way to create demos and references when you don't have session musicians immediately on hand.
There's still a weird high-end aliasing on everything AI, like the way early MP3s used to sound. I'm sure they'll work that out soon enough..
The problem is the business model. You cannot buy the software - you pay each time you use it.
and the website is just a photo, the only link that works is the AI chat that cannot answer basic question. I pass. NEXT!
It sucks, but most companies have or are moving away from selling their software. You either pay a subscription, or with a lot of "AI", feed them training data and pay if you want to use the results.
my thought, with this one at least, (and id have to look into it) that the paying each time you use it sends a commission to the individual who provided the model for the AI, so you are compensating the musician whos either instrument performance or vocal performance model you're using in your song, the same way you would pay a session musician or freelancer to play on your track, not sure though, id have to look into it.
I just checked the token thing, they will go fast!
The AI processing is expensive in their servers to give it for free or one pay, but in the future that will be solved once we start getting the PCs with NPUs to run all these AI on our own machines, just like any other software.
Well I thought AI would be taking away the creativity and making us non musicians EVEN lazier. How Wrong I am, I think it will give us more creativity. Many times I’ve hummed a drum or rhythm or melody this is brilliant!

Yeah. And the people reaction/negativity was kind of similar. "OMG, this is not art, it will take away our jobs, etc" :D And Auto-Tune story was similar as well

@@ChristopherGwinn That is an interesting answer but it essentially seems to boil down to "Well, it sucks that we are cutting humanity out of art but that is just the way it has to go." That seems incredibly silly to me. It is the kind of attitude I would expect from an AI accelerationist or even a shareholder who only really values art as a monetized product.

Brilliant, love it. As a lyric writer, to be able to get some ‘feel’ as to how the words might work with the music variations available is attractive.
Conversely, the possible loss of true musicians due to AI does trouble me somewhat.

For the drums, I am surprised the software doesn't turn it into a MIDI sequence with samples. That way you could replace/edit the weird snare easily.

I know AI might become a threat for my livelihood, but i can't help being absolutely amazed.
Well, your tracks are awesome. With machine learning (also known as A.I nowadays ;) ) eventually it would be possible to just hit a button and create a track that mimics your style, based on your previous tracks. But it would probably be to perfect, and sound "different". Within a year or two I'm sure there will be A.I filters that tries to replicate the human imperfections. I.e. going full circle in the A.I usage back to the not so perfect. Kind of ironic.

There are those who believe that this will be the end of artists, and there are those who think that AI in all its forms is just a tool that facilitates artistic expression, research or creative work in any field, and what matters at the end is who uses it. In any case, it's mind-blowing.
What matters is who has the most power in the transaction between artists, their potential audience, and the corporate interests/investors/tech sector types that are driving hard for AI accelerationism.
Artificial is the word that comes to mind. The brass sounds like someone farting, but this is early days for AI. Vocals sounded very interesting. Gotta ĺove this guy's enthusiasm and energy though.

The problem is not and will NEVER be technology. The problem is the current economic system/model that sees ALL OF US humans and ALL ll of our needs as unjustifiable financial burdens and therefor looks for ways to simply move us out of the equation. Before we change the economic model, it will continue looking for ways to get rid of us.

This kind of software is really scaring me. How will we make the difference in a near future between a "real" performance and a "Synthetic" one? I know that it opens new ways and route for creation which had not been explored yet, but i cant stop thinking if we are not losing the soul of a "real" performer.
Everything is quickly becoming artificial and just good enough. AI is about to ruin music. Other forms of human creativity will soon follow. Already it is increasingly difficult to determine what is real and what is fake. When everything online becomes suspect, what can you trust?

It's not, calm down. There is hype about it now that's going to die down and it's just going to be a part of the toolbox. Everytime something new AI comes out there is an over abundance of samey shit being generated and it gets old quick. It's nice as a tool and that's what it is.

@Doctormix you'd better say that some softwares only run on "Windows", rather than "on PC", since on PC there are many other operating systems, starting from GNU/Linux which is the one I use from 20 years ;)
