- DJI Mini 3 Pro Sample Footage of Vertical Filming to give you an idea of the quality - not sure why you can never find these from camera makers when a new one comes out
I've had it for a couple months so I've tested it out thoroughly
This camera has a 1/1.3" Sensor that is f1.7, so ISO is cleaner and it is naturally brighter compared to the Mini 2.
Vertical filming is also actual vertical filming... the camera turns sideways, so no gimmick here thank god. It's full quality 4K and I did a comparison in here to show you
Most shots are using a 16ND using the Normal Profile - H.265
Color Graded lightly using Adobe Premiere Pro and the Lumetri Color Effect

I use the mavic pro 2 to shoot commercial properties using photos (AEB 5 and then combing them into HDR) and doing video with mostly Point of Interest to circle around. I constantly lose my connection to the drone and traveling around the country with it, takes a lot of room in my bag. I did a pre-order of the mini 3, but what are your thoughts on the quality of the camera for photos/videos vs something like the Mavic Pro 2?

Love the mini 3, although there are a few cons - not as stable in wind, no d-log, gets hot, etc. d-cinelike looks amazing after color grading, vertical gimbal, tilt-up camera are worth the trade off to me. Haven't flown the air 2s since getting the M3P

@@culiscreations I just heard that it won't do Activetrack in vertical mode, which would be a negative, but almost everything I post is on TikTok and Instagram, so I'd love to have more resolution.
I’m in the same boat, I want true 4k 9:16 videos which the air2s doesn’t do due to cropping, so I have ordered the mini 3. I do love the air 2s for its power

Awesome work man. I'm not sure if this has been answered but could we use the RC pro controller with the mini 3?
I just checked it can't, the RC pro can't find the Mini 3 Pro and the Mini 3 remote can't control anything other than Mini 3. At least not yet. When I used the Mini 3 Pro smart controller last week it had an option to connect to the Mavic 3. Either it wasn' t working or they decided not to go that route, not sure. But this week they did tell me that the Mini 3 Pro smart controller is just for the Mini 3 right now though, the RC Pro with the Mavic 3 can work with mavic 3, mavic 3 cine, and Air 2S. Hope they add more compatibility later on
My mini 3 pro controller also has the mini 2 as a choice for it's connection... Note to self is to see if my mini 2 with six batteries can join in!

I haven't seen anyone answer on the thermals for the new DJI RC. Have you noticed if it gets hot and is the cooling passive or active?

Hey! How do you compare it to the Air 2S? I create videos for social media and really wanted the vertical shooting feature. Is it best for me to change it or just film further away and crop ?
Change... as cropping makes the footage 1080 instead of true 4k which you will get from the mini 3

I have the magic 3 and when I crop in from 5K to 9:16 I get nothing like this. It’s crazy how great this looks for vertical / social. It’s a shame really

Great flying! I despise vertical video with a passion, our eyes are horizontal after all, but vertical photography is definitely gas, I loved your shots. If I didn't just purchase an Air 2S I would want to get into this.
Air 2S still tops it for quality though and 20 megapixels is really nice, don’t feel bad

At Vertical/Normal 800% mean you by normal is 16:9 cropped footage?

YES that thing is old. Unless you need it for utility or being a private-I or something. Plus you'll have a cool screen now
