Terry, while I watch both you and Rob sanding away with sanders, it made me wonder how many sanders you've gone thru in the last 4 years. Make a guess. I agree with the person suggesting you wear a hat in the sun. Or lots of sunscreen. We moms worry about you! ❤
I love the subtle calmness of the room as it is - lovely soft colour and no embellishments. Red to me is an angry colour and would be a nightmare for me to try and sleep in. Each to their own 😊
I cried buckets painting my bedroom red. It looked like a Rob Zombie movie. But when I put my dark furniture back and turned on the Tiffany style lamps(which was the reason for red) it was gorgeous. Never been happier. Now that was decades ago and now I’m thinking to redo in Black. 🤷🏻♀️
I think the LG molding motif might be too much on all panels? I'm sure you've got figured out. Once a room is red, it's a lot of work to change color. I'm sure it's gonna be lovely!🎉
Lovely video, Terry! Your ideas and artistry are beyond belief! My imagination can’t see your plan until you put it together. As results have been stunning to date, I am not going to criticize this new suite! I have confidence it will be great👏🏻
I'm so glad you have found a more labour efficient product for the 401suite mouldings .I should imagine also when everything has been costed it may work out a cheaper way forward for you ,after all time is money isn't it 😊 Rob looks happy in his work and doing a great job .Thanks everyone .
Félicitations Terry pour vos prises de vue originales et esthétiques. La brume au-dessus de votre forêt est du plus bel effet ! Bon courage et bravo pour votre assiduité au travail. Mary de Tours, qui vous admire.
You might want to repair a few of the slate tiles while the scaffolding is up (just what you can reach from there). You all amaze me how hard working you are! 👏
The mouldings are beautiful Terry. You have such a good eye for detail. Any time saving object can only be good. As we say in the North East. Bloody good idea bonnie lad. 🏴👍❤️🇬🇧
Sorry I missed the live chat today, but it was the last day of school before summer holidays, for my grandsons. My goodness, that fog is very atmospheric and eerie! Love hearing all the birdsong around you as you perch up on the scaffolding. What an amazing view you have of the surrounding countryside from up there! Rob is working away so faithfully and painstakingly. Terry, you are a virtuoso with mouldings. They are so ornate and beautiful. This old chateau has never known so much beauty, even in her youth. That bendy moulding is amazing! What a find and a timesaver! Great episode, Terry. Cheers! ❤️🇨🇦
You Guys have BEEN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.❤️🥰🙋♀️ I have been watching you all from the very first moment. YOU BROUGHT THE CHATEAU, ALL THOSE YEARS AGO. NOT REALLY THAT MANY YEARS AGO. I am in Awe of what you’ve accomplished and Achieved in Such short years. WELL DONE. 😍🙋♀️🥰❤️🦘🇦🇺🌺😘🌏
I’m glad to see the progress on the suite! I prefer the room color in a similar French grey tone in maybe 3 different shades to up the depth and drama of those panels. I love that you’re doing the ceiling too. For some reason, I feel like that room shouldn’t be embellished with the moldings. I love the simplicity of the way they are. Chateaus can handle more is more but I find it to be overpowering the moldings that you’re going to add on, and bedrooms are better in a less stimulating color too. I trust your vision though and I’m sure it will be beautiful anyway.
Like the 400 and hope you'll achieve a similar result in the 401. You do scare me though with the thought it will be theatrical - the existing panels, though plain, are so elegant. Much success as you make your choices. Red will probably need OTT gilding and moldings and I am prepared.
I like the molding. Thanks for telling us about WoodUBend. I have a rounded wall in my kitchen and I didn't know how I was going to get trim on it, until now!!
Do you have any plans to refresh the dormer windo on the front of the turret? How would you do that? The grande dame is really waking up and looking so beautiful. Its a real pleasure to watch y'all making your dream come true. Safe travels, and God bless. 😊
Ash it's just an opinion but I do think there are too many panels so if u r going to do every panel with moldings it will be a bit too much...its still a small room, paint and gold it will look.....too busy. Plus all the moldings patern are not small and discrete....you may try one wall before molding ever panels . It's a room,it's really doesn't need much ornaments even for a château, it's better to do where it is intended, salons or dining rooms. Either way it will still look way better than it was❤.
@@chateaudelalacelle It's going to look amazing, but I agree, every panel is going to be too much noise. I imagine it'll be tricky to decide which as there are six sets of panels on the wall in the video, but I think just the second and fourth panels in the design you've chosen will have more impact than every single one.🤩
Well, the French Chateaus & Palaces of this period were not known for their restraint, were they?! They were known for rich opulence, and immaculate attention to detail; at least, this is what I saw when I toured the Palace of Verseilles... Terry will be doing one paneled section at a time and being a craftsman & artisan, he always stands back, takes a long look or three, asks for feedback and either 'cracks on' or tinkers with adjustments till he & 'directly-involved crew' are satisfied. Cannot wait to see how this room & its features are twisted & turned till he gets it like he wants it! So exciting!!!!
I've seen others use the woodubend products and I think their fabulous. I need to borrow some of Terry's patience as I redoing a dressor my granddaughter wanted. It's one of those 80's maybe dressers in a white or cream provincal style with gold trim and a formica top. Lordy, someone did a half assed paint job with dk sage green paint. Hoping it turns out a lovely lite blue and maybe she'll let me put some gold back in. Those little grooves that were once painted gold are a stinker
Omg....WoodUBend! I went straight to the website, found a distributor over here where I am and gotta say I am so excited by the range available....I'm looking at my very boring white display cupboard thinking this could be the start of something crazy....way cool x
Terry you always create a lot of work for yourself but you make your projects so beautiful, your mind must be a never ending supply of projects .so glad you have found a product to help your process quicker and easier, can't Waite to see it finished,
If I can make a suggestion, if you move the molding over by a smidge to leave an oh so slight edge around the rectangle, it would give your molding more definition rather than seemingly perched right on the edge. Just a slight tweak but one I think would have big impact. Just a thought
I also love the soft color of the room as it is. The paneling has alot going on I would think the embellishments would be too much. I would bring color in with the textiles and leave the room itself calming.
Have Tracy and Ash gone to Glastonbury and not told you and Eob, Terry? 😂. I think it’s a very sensible thing to do to use the wooden trim you’ve found. Weren’t the trims made of wood originally? It’s going to look amazing for the open day.
I’m so glad you discovered the WoodUBend products. I recommended them a while back and I thought then it work well for you. The panelling is going to look amazing, but everything you all do looks amazing. Best wishes from Neil in Australia 🇦🇺 PS. Look like you got burnt paining the window. Not sure, but have you considered putting the corner appliques at the bottom corners of the smaller square panel below the top long rectangular one to elongate and visually connect the upper and lower panels?

Hi Terry. The room is coming together nicely. I just feel that the medallion looks a bit lost up by itself. Are you thinking of putting another one at the bottom. Was just wondering. You guys are really doing a fantastic job on the chateau and bringing her bake to life.
I am sure there is a good reason for you not doing this, but the answer to your moulding supply problem seems to be creating a few additional moulds and a different type of faster setting resin 😊

Mad dogs and English men … haha
Sun stroke or melanomas are not the best also. 😢👍🇦🇺🌞
