I don't know what is with Tezuka just poorly adapting mangas first with quint, then goddess that one hurt and now this i'm certainly going manga only with this one it looks interesting
Another such manga is Golden Kamuy which is a great manga but ruined by poor adaptation, while it's socio political commentary and controversial Ainu Yamato Ethnic conflict and Russo Japanese conflict (since it's timeline is around 1905-1907).
if properly adapted, this could even be the "Monster" of this generation

The adaptation was a real disappointment...but I guess that's just how things are nowadays. Only flashy series get the proper adaptation.
