A _Rob on the Run_ and a _Throw It on Thursday_ ? What a twofer! Math sure comes in handing when baking or cooking. I’m glad you’re utilizing it in a way that benefits the recipe instead of eyeballing and combining things. Cheers, Rob!
Well… thank you. Yes, Math used correctly in the right situations can be beneficial. Cooking can be an art, but just doing whatever you want with whatever quantities can really make a mess out of it.
I think I know which "Italian" RUclipsr you're referring to and let's just say there's nothing Italian about him, so I'm not surprised he didn't even have a recipe to offer you. Those were some damn GUD looking sausages sir. The only thing missing is a cold one to wash it down with. Much love from the Rob Mob!
I believe I may have been enjoying a nice light beer that day. I was a bit surprised he did not have a sausage recipe for me, but I guess I can understand because I really haven’t seen him cook much authentic Italian on his channel. As a matter of fact, one of my Recipe Roulette videos I did featured something he called lasagna. I’m not Italian, but that wasn’t lasagna.
Really enjoying the videos but I feel like you might have a future as a video producer. Have you thought about maybe building a studio onto your house and producing other youtubers?
Nope… I don’t have an accountant good enough to write off that business expense. And… who would want to come all the way to Fond du Lac to do a video. Not exactly a thriving entertainment capital like LA or Nashville.
It's always a good day when I catch one of your videos :) Also I really appreciate that you explain the right texture of the sausage. I'm feeling more bold to try making a batch of sausages for myself as someone scared to ruin a large amount of good meat
There are lots of good videos out there that talk about the importance of having the right texture for your sausages. That’s one thing my dad never did well, his sausages were always quite loose. I really liked them, but the protein extraction never really happened and as a result the might wasn’t very tight. Thanks for the nice comment.
Great video as always Rob. I feel like it's a good brain exercise to do a little math when cooking. I'm guessing you don't subscribe to the belief that you can never have too much seasoning?
I have done my share of over-seasoning. It really ruins the dish and others eating it go out of their way to say things like… it’s not that bad. It really is that bad. It is possible to over season. Take your time and do it right.
It’s worth it to me. The satisfaction of knowing I made that with my own two hands is pretty satisfying. The cost of the equipment, ingredients and time probably make this a losing thing, but I’m having fun.
Wow. I'm used to guys having their wives do the work and them mumbling off to the side in videos like these. What a refreshing change.
Thanks! Patti really doesn’t have any interest in making sausage… I’m not going to make her help me… that wouldn’t be cool.
Rob on the Run AND a Throw in on Thursday - AT THE SAME TIME??!?? 🤯
Pretty amazing occurrence. But.. I think it worked out pretty well.

Really enjoyed your video. Never really tackled making sausage, but you make it look so easy. Great job.
If you have the right equipment, it’s pretty easy. Especially if you find a good seasoning mix. That sausage stuffer is a must have.
Rob, with your computer science background you should consider doing a tech channel. Maybe call it tech time or something.
That would be a great idea. I just checked and there is no active channels with that name actually producing those types of videos.

Great video as always, Rob! Do you think that seasoning would go well with veggies as well? I’m a vegetarian haha.
Well…. Maybe if you mix it with some sour cream. Might make a nice dip.
You're really upping your editing game. Taking a shot at babish are we? I hope to see your channel grow.
Thank you very much. I hope to see it grow also. I didn’t think I was taking a shot at Babish… what did you see?

Also would you say the extra effort was worth it over a store-bought Italian sausage? Not trying to argue, just curious to hear your thoughts.
