You get so much mileage from a simple White Fluke and a jig-head. It's an inspiration to those of us with overstuffed tackle boxes. ( who still get skunked )
Exactly you hit that on point! Who'd thought us using live bait for years and this man landing quality fish on Zoom cheapie Walmart soft plastics! It's all about the right presentation, the right conditions, techniques and searching. We're still learning my man! He makes it look easy...but let me tell you.. I've fished these bridges for years and it's a hell of a learning curve! You can have a beautiful day like he has and can get skunked! If you notice...non of those bigger quality fish are close to the bridges. I and many good anglers that I know have thrown everything and the kitchen sink with the best live baits, right setup, and tackle and all you catch is small grunts all day. 😂 Also the weekends are usually more difficult when the saturation of boats, jet skiers, and anglers increasing the pressure scaring the fish to deeper waters makes it worse. It's not always like that...I've had amazing 100+ quality catches as well! Especially night fishing at times!
You’re the GOAT!!! Best fishing channel on RUclips!!! Thanks a ton!!!
He's single handedly changed my fishing style out of Cape Canaveral. I have a jig permanently attached to a pole, ready to go at all times in case I see something on top or at the bottom. I never used to jig much at all.
Great work out there ! Appreciate your NON arrogant, Friendly and entertaining way you run your channel ! Always looking forward to your vids !
I follow you for the Keys kayak fishing!
You should try launching from the Kay Largo Kampground marina, leads out to several good areas.
Long time fan, always amazing and understated, I know some folks shy away from live bait but it would be amazing to see some live-lining action, or any type of baitfish under a float!
One of the best videos on youtube was that massive snook on a live cichlid in the everglades from a couple years ago. Thanks for all the content and the non-clickbait approach, one of the greatest fishermen of all time.
It’s not practical on a kayak typically - always easier to transport and keep bait alive on a boat.
Just great fishing !! Thank you very much .
Thank you for sharing, well done
Lots of fun; pretty view.
Fantastic winter fishing down there.
👍😎✌
Thank you, Elias.
Enjoyed the show.
It’s incredible the variety of fish Florida has wow…
Another great video
Wow,what a day on the water, and that sunset, great stream Elias.
E, you really got your craft honed in with your jigging.
It’s a pleasure to watch . The array of species that you bring to the camera is magical. We get to witness about 80% of the south Florida field guide. lol👍🏻🇺🇸
Heading there tomorrow!
Wow , what a great day of consistent fish.
You are looking like this is your home water.😂😂😂
Great adventure
Cheers
Got my zoom fluke in the mail today and just waiting on my jig heads to go and try some shore line snapper fishing motivated from your videos!! You need to move to Florida because you are the best jig fisherman that I have found yet! Just love your videos!
Nice!
Elias I hope the chamber of commerce is covering some of your expenses to come down here and fish lol. What a show on fishing in the keys. If you have never been here you don't know what you are missing. It is a different atmosphere that makes you want to stay for ever. Those clear waters never cease to amaze. BTW those Groupers are off the chart. When I was young many years ago finding them was the ultimate prize fish, and you could have kept all you needed. Hope you are able to do some more fishing in the keys it is the ultimate anglers paradise.
I kept waiting for you to get smoked by a big flag yellowtail …. I love watching you snapper fish with lures.
Great day!
those new swim baits look sweet. that’s a lot of what i throw at the jetties here in Charleston for the bulls. i’ll be buying some once you release em
Love your videos i wish i could fish like you have you ever been to Maryland to fish keep up the awesome videos
Man. Awesome. You could have thrown the cars keys at em and got it done. Great vid!
Break off's suck, lost prob a big snook yesterday on 17lb flouro. Hate going up over 20, unless it's a blitz or windy I do believe the fish see it. Keep up the hard work Elias ! Those grouper do hit hard, I enjoy them. Nothing better than jig fishing from the yak, seems like the bottom bite was on yesterday.
When you got in your vehicle you looked beat. You caught an incredible amount of fish that day. Love those Mutton and wondered what the taste is like? Took me two days to watch this and it was worth it.
Top notch show! Can't ask for anything more.
Man U make me wanna load up the kayak and head down from NC!!!
A long LONG one day drive but it’s unlike anywhere else.
Great video. Suggestion: wipe off the surface of the fishfinder. Once it gets heavily waterspotted, it markedly reduces our ability to view what it is showing.
Hey even with all those fish guts on the screen...still killing it! 😂 I'm also a neat freak and like cleanliness but when you're in kayak it gets messy! You're constantly on the move and don't have time for making anything pretty.
I love the winter Florida videos, but when you come home to NC and start catching fish, I know it’s time to get on the water. #YankeeGOAT
Loop knot definitely helps…and it’s one of the easiest knots I tie 10 seconds probably. 👀🤷🏼♂️🤙🏻 🎣
The Yellow Jack Master
E ..... thanks for all the great Keys footage. I recognized almost all the locations you fished. AND ... will be in Islamorada tomorrow staying the month of March. Your vids helped me prepare and plot my course of action. Didn’t notice any live bait, shrimp, crabs etc? Would that be worth trying in your opinion? Thanks anyway!
All good fishermen have their quirks.😝
Hey can you show us a pic of how you haul your kayak?
Nice
🔥🔥🔥
Yoooooooo another keys video let's fucking go!!!!!
Aaron Rodgers Is that you lol
I think you demonstrated for us why they call them 'groupers'.....that was some dense action.
Nice vid !..Are the red grouper not tasty ?..They seem to be a "Rodney" fish down there in Fla....Be well !
Yellowjacks are fun on fly. They will give you a sore arm by midday.
I like the loop knot lol
What do you mean by the loop knot ? Elias appears to be tying the old Grinner knot, it’s got lots of names.
Lol
I used to "pull" my kayak from the front but now I "push" it from the front like a wheelbarrow--throw the front end under one arm and lean into it. Not judging how to transport kayaks but try it.
What is the gel o cream for the plastic lures?
Great video as usual, thanks for taking us fishing when we can't make it. Can I ask what sounder/fish finder you use? I'm Looking to get one for fishing in the Caribbean close to shore.
Lowrance Hook 7 TS
@@EliasVFishing thank you very much. Happy fishing
Which jig did you use with the skinny fluke?
You catch more fish in a day than I catch in a good year.
Left Krey loop knot
Red grouper season is showing as open in florida.
Btw, I didn't see the link to that new stretchy soft plastic white paddle tail you were trying.
Just completed the mold I’ll have them out in the Spring
Was that you on delta flight from Orlando to Raleigh on Friday afternoon? 3/1? Coulda sworn that was you but didn’t say anything
🎣🤙🏼
a salt strong shrimp lure would kill it out there I think
I’ve used them before - they work pretty well too. Zooms cut through the water more efficiently 👍
Why is the line not threaded through the first and biggest guide closes to reel in the pic
What rod are you using??
What’s the law on in-line circle hooks with live bait? I didn’t think you could put shrimp on a jig head.
Loop knot definitely makes a difference on the crappie so why wouldn’t it on salty’s
When you find a spot with a bunch of dink grouper or snapper, just move on and find another spot because the big ones don't hang out with the juvies. And if all you get is dinks, then change up your lures.
Back to the fish bag instead of the cooler.
Could someone comment on how you would rate - Yellow tail snapper vs Sheepshead vs Mayan cichlids in terms of taste?
I’d rate as following:
#1 cichlid
#2 yellowtail
#3 sheepshead
But I’d say sheeps and yellowtail pretty close.
Please tell us what fish you are catching.
I know a good realtor in key west, just sayin😂
Where's the keeper groupers?
Need bait probably
Good thing fillet and release isn't legal 😉
Next time take a chum bag with you and give some time over an area and see what you get
Save the bonefish! Commercial fishing hurt the population.
Bro, the bonefish are everywhere, population growth every year.
@@MiamiFella305 cap
Commercial fishing for bonefish?
@@danl.909 yup. Pet food or by mistake. Where did they go?
The porgy you caught towards the beginning of the video is a littlehead, not grass, those are only found in the GOM, and are tiny, almost always less than 10”.
