Aaaaahh, so much nostalgia! I LOVED the Vacation expansion! I made one family just for the sake of always being on a vacation because I loved it so much! The winter place was my favourite! I probably liked it so much because it brought some change to the game. It looked different and it played different... I enjoyed it. What I DIDN'T enjoy was that at least one of the hotels (if not all of them, can't remember) had the sad clown painting. I avoided that like plague after getting traumatized by the clown. But then one of the NPCs looked at the painting and the clown arrived. I have never left a lot quicker. After that I always removed the painting from the hotel when going on a vacation.
I think the main appeal for this expansion would be for sims with jobs (Ala players who don't use rosebud;!;!;!;!;!...) since it allows those sims to go off and do other stuff instead of their job taking a large chunk out of their day.
They're actually pretty darned cheap if you look around enough! I rarely pay more than $5-10 total for a boxed game. If I do, it's something that's genuinely sought-after (The Elder Scrolls: Arena, for example). Most of them come from eBay and Amazon sellers, but I've also gotten quite a few from local thrift stores, flea markets, and donations from viewers.

The biggest problem I had with the sims is how all of your time had to be spent making them feel less miserable so there wasn't much time for any activities(if you played cheatless). It makes zero sens to have to eat 3 meals in a row to satisfy your hunger, they were fucking whiny and the time they wasted complaining made it worse.
What games are you looking for? Because it can largely depend on the game. For instance, well-known games like Fallout 1 can go for around $70+ boxed. Are you on US eBay or UK? US tends to be cheaper for original "big box" games, but then UK also has games you won't find in the US. Also, search for generic terms too, like "5.25 game" or "vintage pc game" or "ibm box" and such.
Look how many people are on the lots during the winter vacation portion. Nowadays you have to put in a cheat or mod to get that many sims in one place.

Believe it or not, my baby sister who is turning 3 soon loves to watch you play the sims! She will be all like "what is that shark doing?". LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! keep it up :)

I'm not sure how they're going to get seasons to work for the whole neighborhood, But I do love the simplicity and calming music sims 2 seasons brought. I love the magic expansion packs though, Makin magic I still wish to play that sometimes (sims 2: apartment life felt very lacking to me.). According to several retailers, Seasons is coming in November. Supernatural is set to come out in early September. Yeah, that would mean two expansions near the end of the year, which would be unusual but it's just a rumor (though one suggested by multiple industry sources). Also, in the latest store pack, Lucky Palms, there are items that are weather-related, suggesting seasons coming soon.
In addition to that coming out, there are now rumors that The Sims 3 Seasons will come out somewhere around the first half of November (I've heard a few dates in that timeframe). There are very credible sources to back this up, you should Google the articles. :) SO EXCITED.
Hehe, yes. I don't mind taking suggestions for games people want me to play, but then having them tell me *how* to play it? Kind of defeats the purpose of me playing it, in my opinion. If they want to see it played a certain way, why watch my in the first place, you know?
It has to do with their body types in TS1. When you first go into CAS, you have the option of a lot of different outfits and each comes with a designated body type. Once you choose that outfit/body type for your sim, they can only wear outfits that have the same body type, which is why some male sims wear speedos (buff) and some wear blue trunks (thin).
The only thing I don't like about the Supernatural Expansion is the zombies. I mean... We could have had playeable zombies like in the first two games, but no, instead we get fucking zombie apocalypse because *everything has to be about the god damn zombie fucking apocalypse FUCK!*

His Duke Nukum sim reminds me of the cartoon character Johnny Bravo. He seems to be based off him, especially the thirsty guy chasing after women, the constant rejection and the voice.
They're both parodies of that hyper-masculine character archetype, so I get where you see similarities. I'm not sure Johnny Bravo was what LGR had in mind when he made a character named -Duke Nukem-, though.
AHHHHHHH I remember LOVING The Sims. It got a little stale after a while though but it really was agreat platform to launch one of the best franchises of all time. It used to piss me off that the kids never grew up and no one ever died but that was quickly fixed in 2 and 3. All the loading screens were such a pain too and I'm glad TS3 got rid of that as well except for World Adventures but that's perfectly acceptable. Everytime I watch one of your LP's of Sims 1, it makes me nostalgic & I wanna revisit the Sims 1 world again. Hmmmm...maybe I will...someday. But for now, Sims 3 has me pretty satisfied, except for one major thing...restaurants. They put them in Sims 1 & 2, but not 3...why? Btw, I laughed everytime the "zombie" cab driver arrived...funny ;-)

While zombies and werewolves would be great, I'm not sure I want to take the normalcy of my other sims out for it.
