When Chris saw the Ultima GTR for the first time in a car show in 1998 he instantly fell in love!! Plus the fact that this is a car that with the right engine and gear box can get up to 200 mph. So when Chris hear that someone was selling it as a bare body and chassis, he knew that he had to get it! So 19 years later he finally bought his dream car! But as this project is finished now, what should he do next?

Great interview - seems like a really down to earth owner. Love the car too - if funds allowed would be my choice, LS3 would be more than enough power. Good to hear John Sleath is still on the scene - we were mates back in the late 80's and early 90's when he was beginning his car tuning career

Ultima is by its machine character like tranformation of Tasmanian devil on wheels....
I dream about my blue Ultima spider with V10 from US BMW M6 that was with manual gbox...
You could just add the supercharger to that engine, they love boost whether turbo or supercharger rather than buying a new engine with a supercharger. Fucking amazing car and amazing build, you can tell how much love you've put into this!
A K swap in the mini is fun, or a B series!
The current build is more than enough - this car was originally built to race professionally (Ultima was ultimately banned for being too overpowered even with sandbagging). Power lost by going NA is gained from lightweight design and aero. More power just makes it uncontrollable.
Different story if the supercharger was also mated to an AWD system. AWD will eat that power all day.
