lystro- "I can passively level up your dinos!" Purlovia- "I can hid and ambush enemies!" Troodod- "I can scout various valuables!" Ovis- "I exists solely to be slaughtered for my meat"
Nathan Anderson “ it fertilisers it quicker than having to worry about the compost bin, now as well as that it does actually do it quicker than the compost bin “ hahaha
My list (designed for PvE) 1. Wyvern, fast, strong, useful for taming carnivores, as it can fight creatures that drop prime and is great for travel. 2. Therizinosaurus, in my opinion the best construction-related creature on the Island. Gets heaps of wood, thatch, and fibre. Also very good for getting narcoberries for narcotics and mejoberries for taming herbivores. Very powerful animal, capable of going toe-to-toe with a Rex. 3. Direwolf, excellent for cave runs. I recommend taking a taming raft to the northern regions, get the wolves onboard, then go to a safer place and tame them. They are tough, fast, and deal a lot of damage. 4. Doedicurus, another great construction dino. I recommend taming a lower level early game, unless you have dilo kibble, as they take a very long time to tame. They get heaps of stone, and can turn your wooden house into a stone fortress in a few days. 5. Rex, i prefer the Rex to a Giga any day. Taming a high level off the bat is a good idea, as they’re surprisingly easy to tame. Either build a taming pen or sit up on a cliff, or use a Tapejara, which is another easy creature to tame, using rare flowers. Just shoot the Rex with a crosswbow or rifle and it will go down after a while. Then all you have to do is feed it prime. These guys are one of the best prime collectors in the game, making them essential for early to mid game taming. 6. Tapejara, very easy to tame. All you have to do is eat a rare flower near it, it will chase you, and then you bola it as it comes towards you. Once knocked out, they tame extremely quickly. They can seat three players, and are very useful for taming larger, deadlier creatures. Just make sure you level up stamina. 7. Allosaurus, believe it or not, this creature is actually very useful, and easy to tame, as long as you can knock it out in the first place. They have a high torpor, but if you have a Pachyrhinosaurus, you can use it’s ability to cease the Allosaurus stamina completely, so it can’t sprint. Either that, or use a taming pen. Caution though, I recommend dismantling the pack first. Only tame the alpha, Allosaurus is common, do not risk taming all three or two of them. Kill the others and this will remove the pack boost. The Allosaurus can deal a lot of damage using it’s bleed attack. Do not attempt to tame it with wyverns, I recommend using an Argentavis to lure it. Wyverns seem to be extremely vulnerable to Allosaurus for some reason.
Usually when I hear utility dinos I think of animals that harvest certain resources that is hard to amass on your own. Some of the dinos in this list are more for combat.
The dung beetle is good for fertilizer But today I just got a toilet You get an XP boost for feeling refreshed and you poop and then flush and get fertilizer
I did not know all this about the toilet, I do know that its expensive. The dung beetles can at least be obtained early at a low level as soon as you get a ptera tamed.
Tsumiakuma99: Damn, I had no idea they raised the level for the saddle so high. Yah I guess the toilet wouldn't be horrible. The cementing paste, crystal, and metal would be a pain but can be done.
So? For almost every carnivore you get only one extra level for every 500 or more levels you find it at in the wild. Obviously that’s irrelevant in since they’re normally capped at 150. So as far as taming goes, Kibble and mutton are indifferent. Though Kibble keeps and can be stacked, mutton is way easier; especially when you have a high power & melee Theri on standby that can collect over 100 mutton from a baby sheep. Kibble is safer at the cost of time, while mutton is much faster but requires coordination & timing.
The dung beetles are also good for oil. So if you are lower level and haven't started going after big oil reserves, tame a dung beetle and start making you a small stock pile of oil. It will help to get you started.
the lystro is also pretty decent at fighting. invest some points into health and melee damage and you got a pretty decent weapon. me and my dad are building an army of these and have about ten currently. we call them war pickles.
Kenke Games That's literally with every creature. You'd be better off taming a moschops in that case which can be even easier to tame, it moves faster and can carry more.
Plus lystrosaurus gives you more xp and they fit in your house so whenever you go to craft stuff quickly pat them first and you will get an xp boost! Can't go wrong there. And they are so fucking cute. I want one in real life so bad
surprised you didn't mention the wool you get from the sheep, which used in place of pelt or hair in most cases, invaluable if you need fur armor, bunk beds, or bug repellent, among other things
You should do a video of the establishment dinos for tribes. The ones most used in day to day building. Deo, Anky, quetz, thero, snail, beetle, bee, argent. Every tribe on my server has these base elements, these are really the only tames you need to expand to a large tribe. I would've added a meat eater but that's by preference to each tribe and the thero gathers enough meat to be sufficient on meat runs.
Let's add: Oviraptor (more eggs from your other dinos - which is more reasonable these days due to kibble) Dire Wolf (as an automated harvester for tek dino remains or chitin in an enclosed breeding/automated slaughtering pen) Daeodon (HP regen) Otter (insulation)
Moschops is great too. Pump their stamina and carry weight to make them better mounts and then pump melee damage to optimize their harvesting. His fiber collection is no fucking joke, I don’t know how it compares to therizino but you can def get a moschops a helluva lot sooner with some luck.
Purlovia are great loot chests they are hard asfk to kill when underground. if you put your ascendant gear and stuff in them and get wiped at least you still have your best gear
I need to get a troodon cuz i forget where i place my animals or where they are when i die cuz i got a problem with my memory and i think you could have expanded this list to 10 maybe, you could add daedon and anky
Parasaur should be on the list. Lots of stamina, can hold a decent amount. Decent amount of health but a little slow. Not a lot of damage either but they should really be used for if you want to move somewhere else or just get some supplies.
I would add to the list the snails... (forgot their official name in ark, not really good in that sorry) reason being you do not have to kill pinguins any longer annnnnd you do not need to hunt for chetin anymore cause they produce instant cementing paste!! I love my snails I can tell you and with just 5 you are really good to go.
SimGandr I was planning to get em but changed my mind because they only eat sweet veggie cakes and I don't feel like aways crafting those because it's quite annoying. Best way for me to get cementing paste is beaver dams and when none have regenerated I'll just use beelzebufo to eat bugs.
I can imagine that you do not feel like making the veggie cake all the time... luckily the snails do not eat that fast... I feed mine every three days (real life) or so... going fine to be honest. And if you have the S+ mod... making the cakes is even easier, cause you only need to have the items nearby and you can tell the cookingpot to make the cake... But I understand your point too
You forgot about the archaes ability to collect sap when u put it on wander in redwood ;-; everyone says archae is useless but hes not ok ;-; ive been saved from troodons and a direbear cuz of him
lystro- "I can passively level up your dinos!"
Purlovia- "I can hid and ambush enemies!"
Troodod- "I can scout various valuables!"
Ovis- "I exists solely to be slaughtered for my meat"
For real man i always keep a couple ovis around breed up some baby's cryo them as babys and whem its tame time pop it and kill it
MicroRaptor-I still knock people off mounts
Pelt- dodos are meant just for slaughter
Whats a troodod?
@*_Jesse, The Wolf Lover!_* yeah, I know. XD
"We are doing another top 5"
"Today we are looking at top 7 utility dinos"
ikr the fact these videos aren’t scripted annoys me
biggy bob lmao
There was like only 2 Dino’s the rest where insects and mammals
These are confusing times
XD
"I preferably prefer the dung beetle"
Nathan Anderson “ it fertilisers it quicker than having to worry about the compost bin, now as well as that it does actually do it quicker than the compost bin “ hahaha
@@Tayyynt "welcome to a new top 5, today well be looking at top 7"
Nathan Anderson bung deetle
yes dung beetle is god i made one kill a giga it was funnn
Why would you want a dung beetle when you can actually use the toilet glitch that is long as you can push the button you got unlimited fertilizer
Dung beetle also creates oil as part of the fertilizer process. Oil that can then be put in a furnace with hide to create gasoline.
@Inlaidpath248 -_- no....
*USA wants to know your location*
Sarteth I believe that was only with the MASSIVE poops?
Yeah
@Kelsea Ded no

What about anky metal can be a pain to gather
May I ask, what map would be best for this?
HonieBee The Island
U commented the same thing on one of the axemans videos
Wow, maybe add a TLTR next time?
Usually when I hear utility dinos I think of animals that harvest certain resources that is hard to amass on your own. Some of the dinos in this list are more for combat.
Papa Troy gathering is the term they use for resources. Utility boosts stats or functionality.
Ryan Spikowski ehh, I guess even then I dont think some of the animals belonged here
Ye me too 😹
I agree with you, clicked on this for that exact reason
i was thinking itd be stuff like doedic, anky or mammoth
The dung beetle is good for fertilizer

I did not know all this about the toilet, I do know that its expensive. The dung beetles can at least be obtained early at a low level as soon as you get a ptera tamed.
William Mitchell you have to be 38 for ptera saddle now and the toliot isnt expensive at all
Tsumiakuma99: Damn, I had no idea they raised the level for the saddle so high. Yah I guess the toilet wouldn't be horrible. The cementing paste, crystal, and metal would be a pain but can be done.
William Mitchell yup
Is the beetle in the island too? Cause i haven't some
kibble = better taming effectiveness
Joey Vega Mutton = not waisting hours taming something thats gonna die anyways
kibble is faster then mutton
The random Idiot on RUclips I know a way to solve this conflict download ark dododex
So? For almost every carnivore you get only one extra level for every 500 or more levels you find it at in the wild. Obviously that’s irrelevant in since they’re normally capped at 150. JiggyJugJugMubWub 2017 with is Ur profile pic
Purlovia can be used to hide stuff as non-tribe members can't see it!
Dr. Kaii Can you not use orbit cam to see them? I’ve never tested it.
Ur allies wont see it as well i think
Parasaur can see it
All u need is a parasaur tho and u can find everyones loot. Edit didnt notice til aftet I posted this is 2 yrs old. Looks like ima goin gravediggin
@@fifthhorseman1632 well, who tames a parasaur these days 😂(yes, its been 3 years, I know)

You forgot the Daeodon, the Daeodon regenerates your health and regenerates health to all nearby by tamed dinos
TheDoorfingers Calm down he made a mistake
TheDoorfingers simple mistake, why be a jerk about it.
Juan Pablo Recinos the daemon sucks it eats to much when it heals other Dino/yourself
Toonlinkgamer -_-
Keep it loaded
Toonlinkgamer -_- well you have to make a sacrifice your dinos or your food
1: Argentavis (lots of health, stamina and damage)
2: T-Rex (Hide and pelt)
3: Castoroides/beaver (gathers wood and excellent swimmer)
4: Moschops (gathers rare flowers for your bees)
5: Doedicurus (gathers stone)
6: Ankylosaurus (Flint, metal, obsidian, crystal)
7: Oviraptor (makes your dinos lay more eggs)
Thanks
Thanks
Quetzal mabey
Those are the best farming dinos. These are the best UTILITY dinos.
KKlippert Those aren’t really utility dinos the same way he meant. Those are just general material gatherers.
Ovis' eyes looks soooo cute :3
0:45 parasaur in the back saying "hi youtube"😁😂
the purlovia does a stun
Lystro bonus is only for tames, can also be stacked up to 3x
Okay, now i feel bad for killing the lystro hearing them scream in my memories is now haunting me... 😣
Gerome Gaming Yt you deserve pain for killing a lystro
Now try killing a Phiomia, they literally CRY in pain.
Yah lystros are severely underrated
He didn’t notice when all of his worker bees died...all he said was “Oh, that was loud...”
Bambllamaking12 cause it’s probably not his real single game
the lystro is also pretty decent at fighting. invest some points into health and melee damage and you got a pretty decent weapon. me and my dad are building an army of these and have about ten currently. we call them war pickles.
Wdym it's trash at fighting a dodo would beat it lol
Lystro can also act as an early game food preserver, most items with spoil timers have spoil times increased
Kenke Games That's literally with every creature. You'd be better off taming a moschops in that case which can be even easier to tame, it moves faster and can carry more.
0:04 we are back with a brand new top 5, and today were are taking a look at the top 7..... Confusing🤔
Thanks for making these, man. I just started playing and these videos have helped me a lot. Liked and subbed
Plus lystrosaurus gives you more xp and they fit in your house so whenever you go to craft stuff quickly pat them first and you will get an xp boost! Can't go wrong there. And they are so fucking cute. I want one in real life so bad
They only give dinos an xp boost.
i really want one too ahaha
Billy Hicks ',:/ they only boost dinos... not players
Me and my buddy call them cuties
Get a jerboa
You forgot one thing at the Dung Beetle. When it produces Fertilizer, it produces oil too. Its not much, but oil is oil.
Hey cj just wanted to say thanks the videos you make havr been really helping me. On ark
I see in the future this channel will have 1 billion subscribers
1:45 *Para in the background* I'm a utility dino. Cj : lost. Para : ok
thank u for all the tips they really help me
thanks very much for that
surprised you didn't mention the wool you get from the sheep, which used in place of pelt or hair in most cases, invaluable if you need fur armor, bunk beds, or bug repellent, among other things
Probably because when you kill them for mutton you get more pelt than you know what to do with. Especially if you use a chainsaw to gather from it
I love how ur the only ark you tuber I know that can say giganotosaurus correctly
Great video man some of these I didn’t even know was in the game lol, like that thing that digs underground,
Lystro makes the list but not the achatina, I would rather have a source of cp then exp
Whats cp?
Tristen Perez cementing paste
Tristen Perez exactly
DarthVaderXI depending on what map you're on, just go to a beaver dam.
Achatinas give you some organic polymer too but xp u can level up beter
Your really good at this, I love all your ark videos, keep it up
Good list very informative
Your a really good youtuber i love watching your vids :) u deserve more subbs
I just got the game and it's SO FUN! so this will help alot
Can't remember the name but the snails are useful to they create polymer and cementing paste. Loved the video.
Legend has it Cj will reply to you early...
Brody Jones the legends were correct good sir, hello there :)
6:40 I think you forgot to edit that out
Or maybe he said something he didn't want us to hear
Your videos are great! Thanks for them lol subscribed!!! Do more ark videos lol jk do what you want lol

You didn't mention that you can use scissors to shear an ovis to get wool. Which is used as a replacement for hair or fur, it is heavy though
Let's add:
Oviraptor (more eggs from your other dinos - which is more reasonable these days due to kibble)
Dire Wolf (as an automated harvester for tek dino remains or chitin in an enclosed breeding/automated slaughtering pen)
Daeodon (HP regen)
Otter (insulation)
Hey man keep up the good work ignore the hate
The ovis can also be used with scissors to get fur or pelt
invaluable video mate
What about the pegomastaxx?
They are very useful to steal other players stuff without them knowing
I'ts perfect if your an early game player
LauralaPRO There's no real point in even taming it, as it's completely useless in non-pvp situations.
Acctually you're right. they are great stealers and cjthecheesedj made a pegomastax despenser vid
You should do top 10 farming Dinos oh and I'm 1st lol
WARZONE /Babybonez
WARZONE /Babybonez war zone you get extra love cause you were first 😊
Cjthecheesedj THANKS HOMIE😃
Great list and I totally agreed with you
thanks tcg!!
Moschops is great too. Pump their stamina and carry weight to make them better mounts and then pump melee damage to optimize their harvesting. His fiber collection is no fucking joke, I don’t know how it compares to therizino but you can def get a moschops a helluva lot sooner with some luck.
You say sting like it's a little bee it's gon go right through our heart if we got attacked by that big of a bee😂😅😂
With Dung beetle's you can also overburden them with poop so that they cant escape even though they are on wander.
the bees and troodons seem too much trouble to get
Doesn't the lystro's XP effect only last for 5 minutes though?
still if your doing buildings around your base or crafting items they can still give you the extra exp
Hyrule Legend yep that's why it has no uses especially if you're a big tribe
Less
Cjthecheesedj is it possible that I was thinking the same way I did a little more about 55 I think you should really research stuff
Who dis man why he everywhere
LOVE UR VIDS theirs so helpful thank u man u r awesome
I want a Purlovia! We need a Pokémon based off it! Big snuggly cuddly cat, dog, weasel thing!:)
I was looking on RUclips home page thing on my phone and the video started playing saying hello every one it cm the cheesy jakey XD
idk why but I fucking love this dude!
Do dung beetles work on Single Player? cuz I've had a dung beetle for AGES and has poo inside it but nothign ever happened to it
Try putting it in a wooden cage and set it to wandering under behavior. The cage is so it is not able to leave the area.
Purlovia are great loot chests they are hard asfk to kill when underground. if you put your ascendant gear and stuff in them and get wiped at least you still have your best gear
yeah its a good way to safeguard some of your best gear if your other dinos die
I have the Ovis also for the wool though. Pretty good.
The fastest way to get fertilizer is the toilet bug that let you poop infinitely and instantly give you a fertilizer each time you poop.
me when i see a bronto and think its a diplodocus: *ItS A DiPlOdOcUlUs*
I need to get a troodon cuz i forget where i place my animals or where they are when i die cuz i got a problem with my memory and i think you could have expanded this list to 10 maybe, you could add daedon and anky
Mini Sællen I have memory problems too
not anky. daeodon and achanita
Mantas are very useful due to them being able to hold tools and weapons all around good pet
Mantis?
What u mean not rly thought about dinos? The moment I found out beedrill was in ark I needed it lol
you get fur from ovis's by using scissors and you can't pick them up with griffins
Kyle Packard wool
Brad Hunt Fur
Sergio Mireles wool
what about the toads for cementing paste, or the anky for metal farming. these seem far more useful imo.
Yeah getting enough metal for industrial stuff would be extremely hard without an anky
I fricking love the dung beatle for there oil
Parasaur should be on the list. Lots of stamina, can hold a decent amount. Decent amount of health but a little slow. Not a lot of damage either but they should really be used for if you want to move somewhere else or just get some supplies.
Horse is better in all those categories
Who the fuck tames a Parasaur in ark?
Mr Keyalis MrPackerAnderson
“We are back with a brand new top 5 and today we will be looking at the top 7 utility Dino’s” 😂
You can shear sheep too
yeah they're better for that because the're hard to tame without flyer anyway
I think the bugs in scorched earth is just dung beetles then it just flys and store water or other stuff
Gatcha and Giant Bee are gonna be on here
Talking about killing and using the Ovis while the Ovis is looking straight at him
I forgot the name but the pelican bird is really good for collecting fish meat.
Holy shit dude. You want some syrup for that giant waffle?
Purlovia can also be used as a hidden item cache
Quintin Hamilton that is very true
At 6.46 the guy made me piss myself 😂🤣
I would add to the list the snails... (forgot their official name in ark, not really good in that sorry) reason being you do not have to kill pinguins any longer annnnnd you do not need to hunt for chetin anymore cause they produce instant cementing paste!! I love my snails I can tell you and with just 5 you are really good to go.

Personally I don’t use dung beetles for fertilizer. I instead use them to fight bosses and then reward them with massive animal feces and spoiled meat
Hi welcome to top 5 here are the top 7 dinos
Purlovia stun is same as the microraptor stun :)
The beaver/thorny, the mammoth needed to be on this list
SO THAT'S WHY WHEN I TAMED A LYSTRO ALL OF MY OTHER DINOS GOT XP!
Yup... TAME MORE!!!! XXXXXXXPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do an ark insite video on the beaver and the frog
sure can
I remember when a single hit from a troodon would instantly knock you pit
You forgot about the archaes ability to collect sap when u put it on wander in redwood ;-; everyone says archae is useless but hes not ok ;-; ive been saved from troodons and a direbear cuz of him
What I consider a utility dino is a dino that's not all that strong, but is worth the tame for another use.
The dung bettle is also used for oil
What a utility dino
"We are back with another top 5 and today we are looking at the top 7 utility dinos" @thecheesedj
You dude are all these naturally on the island? Because I really want to play with that dirt one lol
John Doe Redwoods I think
im 2st Lol
Denkan not to be mean but it is 2nd not 2st
Denkan lol
Lucalele 3000 why do you care
Denkan doesent matter if you were 309st I appreciate the support :)
Cjthecheesedj i see how it is bro
I don't know why people don't include the achatina you can have a lot of sementing paste
He didn't mention how the dung beetle makes oil. Me and my friend get 10 dung beetles and we get more oil then we need.
Use honey for fishing also
Does no one question " welcome to anot her top 5 here's the top 7 utility dinos."?
In my opinion iguanodon is the best traveling Dino because infinite stamina on all 4s and great swimming speed.
what does that have to do with anything?
Bro I had no idea the lystro levels up your dinos
