Why don't we use robots in risky jobs like mining or sewage, where human labour could lead to death? To prevent unemployment, why don't we preserve restaurant jobs as they are? Waiters are efficient and friendly :)

Jack Ma said that so that fools like you have to buy the same robots from China coz guess what.. China has not only these dumb robots serving food but making food from start to end. They have automated end to end and here is a guy justifying Indian mediocre state of robotics by quoting the exact line meant to fool the world.

Not a good idea. No Human connect, one small error might really create a confusion and you get pissed off.
For me the food quality/variety matters the most (which I couldn't make out from the video) and I feel that waiters give the restaurant a very lively mood. I would love to see a smiling girl or boy instead of a robot.

Robo can also give lively version by playing the song like "Angrezi beat de" while serving the food 😂😂

It looks fancy, people are curious to watch robot serving but it’s not good for future. We shouldn’t encourage robots who can take jobs of many people. Guys do no encourage such themed restaurants. I see a lot of comments related to unemployment here which is totally absurd. If it's a human waiter he can feed only a family of 4. Please consider what is really happening in the background. These robots are feeding a stratup which employs 50 people who research, design, manufacture and market these robots and not to mention the service and maintenance. If this company's employees have a family of four, then 200 people are getting 3 meals a day because of this initiative.

I am in Bangalore i visited this restaurant, the service was nice but the food taste bad and vegetables were rotten 🤢🤢
Main aim of restaurant is to provide a good and tasty food and this restaurant its opposite, food is not tasty you can't eat, it tastes sour.
People will always look on the negative side Unemployment etc.

Why so much of mean comments, try to appreciate the innovation done by the Engineers it's not easy , don't visit the restaurant if you hate it! That's the reason why we lack innovation in India , if this was some other countries the same people would have appreciated it.

1. Food serving is not the only thing done by humans
2. It is not serving the exact purpose of robot and it is way too expensive
3. There have to be a boy to clean the table.
4. They will be getting more maintenance bills and electricity bills, rather than wages of humans
5. It seems more like self service restaurant.
6. They need to be updated at certain point of time and regularly.
7. Overall decent place.

They are just executing a predefined flow chart. Anything they encounter which is not defined in flow chart , either they crash or do nothing.
Definition of robot is self thinking and take decisions based on circumstances.

In trivandram Kerala .robots are used to clean manhole sewages with backing of govt.
Restaurants are for leisurely purpose. Where we need a human touch, not a typical office like atmosphere.. N most importantly automation is needed but not in every sectors like hospitality, leisure where human interactions are needed.. Being an engineer, most precisely in Robotics , I don't think these type of approaches would be detrimental for the whole hospitality and hotel sectors.

well .....these technologies where made in korea,japan,dubai,uk,France where they have aging population......if indian companies won't make these technologies to export then we will lag.....these may not be in India....but India companies need to get new tech tp export as 88% of our IT industry revenue comes from foregin......some people won't understand this

Unless the food is delicious, it's going to be difficult for repeat visits to the restaurant. How many times can one be amused by a robot waiter. And the interiors are so drab.
