      I would love to see something with a GT 1010 once it's out, or the 1030, they can hold pretty well until you can get your hands on a 580, and having in mind that someone who buys a 1030 is not going to play SOTR or CyberBug, testing League, Wot, Wow, Valorant, CSGO and games as such makes sense, I mean, these free to play games are the most played anyway.

    I really appreciate you taking the stress out of PC building for people with your calming guides, and "making the most of what is available" attitude.
    There's an awful temptation to make videos that encourage people to look at their purchases with a buyer's remorse attitude when usually it matters very little, so I really appreciate your work.

    No cable extensions, upgraded cooler, and a cheaper case. Having the money saved, I’d upgrade storage and psu. A good psu will last a decade.

    • @andresacosta5318
      @andresacosta5318 3 года назад +9

      I was thinking the same thing. I woulda skipped on the cooler and the extension and gotten a nicer board and maybe even an m.2. You can always get the extensions later and same with the cooler. But you wouldnt replace your board down the line as easily

    • @OzTalksHW

    • @Canyaza
      @Canyaza 3 года назад

      When I have a rig that needs an optical drive I always buy a cheap pcie raid or sata card (you can find two internal ports for $7-15 locally usually, nobody wants them), I plug the dvd drive into that and save myself a sata port on the motherboard for another ssd/hdd. Since optical drives don't get used very often its fine for it to be on a slower bus, possibly one that goes unused (there's always one free, usually blocked by the gpu.) Assuming you have a dvd rw drive lying around from an old computer you no longer use because external dvd rw/blue ray drives can be expensive.

      @@londalecarter3482 Corsair HX 650 here, since 2010. Also been using an EVGA G2 1300 since 2013, but my new rig has one thats only a year old. If you ever plan on having lots of hdds/ssds buy a higher wattage psu early on that comes with lots of sata connectors. It's hard to destroy a PSU unless you always leave your computer in hibernation or on all the time, just resist the urge to put it to sleep and turn it off if you aren't using it to extend its life.

I think Ryzen is going to supply a little more bang-for-buck. And since AM4 is not going anywhere anytime soon, you're pretty well positioned for the near future.

    Yoh, the gtx 1650 super is a bit costly for some people, or...well...just out of their budget, but it just has sooo much value, i built basically the same build as this but with a 1650 super in it for my brother and that little card has seriously impressed me. Can't recommend it enough.

    Honestly what surprised me most about the video is the R9 290, that thing genuinely can run cyberpunk despite being 10 years old.

    Hi Oz! Great video. I built my first computer a couple months ago (roughly $570 before tax and shipping) and your videos helped me a lot. I binge watched a lot of them and was able to build my own PC knowing the steps by heart lol. Although I don't plan on building anything new soon, I still love watching your videos and would like to see more of $450-$600 budget builds! Keep it up, king

    The custom cables really look nice and clean. My current gripe is using the included cables looks ugly, so I might fix that on my build. Very calm and relaxing budget build.
