    I just switched off windows and onto Bazzite OS on my ROG Ally. I play big single player open world games like Ghost of Tsushima, Spiderman, Fallout (3,nv,4) and so I prefer Linux. Now Windows is so full of bloatware and poor UI with handhelds that I just switched off of it.not against someone using it mind you, it's very much a matter of preference and I don't see this as a "one correct os above all" situation. Love Steams UI and even though Bazzite isn't exactly SteamOS it's got all the same features and UI. I'm happy with it. Anywho I'm rambling good video!

    I have windows 11 on an SD card spare I have. I knew it was slow but damn! (The SD card). I'm planning to run some Ubisoft games and see how it works. If I plan to stick with this route I'd rather just get an SSD and plug it in a USB hub instead

    Love the video. After watching , you gave me an idea. 256 gb is the original memory of my SD LCD, but i upgraded it to a 1tb. Now, i dont have any use for the 256 ssd. Your suggestion to make a separate SSD for windows is a nice advice, rather dual boot. If i have the time i will make the 256 gb a windows only ssd and 1 tb for the Steam OS only.

    • @chowna7941
      @chowna7941 27 дней назад

      Sir, i have a question. I hope you can answers it.
      If i follow your advice and make my 256gb as my windows os and if need to swith to steam os, i need to open and put back the 1tb ssd.
      My question is, can i buy a ssd enclosure and put the 256gb that has the windows os in that enclosure? Then can i boot the steam deck using that external ssd enclosure by going to the Bios? Do steam deck bios can do that?
      The onething stopping me is the hassle of open/closing the back part of SD. By removing the hassle, i can seamlessly remove the open/closing process and directly to the source.
      Hope you can shed light on this. Thanks.

    Tl;dr, no. Stick with steam os, or a different Linux os. You can get lots of games to run on Linux, there are different launchers to get things to work. Up to the game developer though, to support beyond Windows.

    • @SineN0mine3
      @SineN0mine3 2 месяца назад +1

      Windows has been clearly signalling for a long time that they don't care about gamers or hobbyists with their software.
      If you like things that work, you should find ways to get rid of windows before Microsoft don't give you the choice.
      Win 10 is losing support next year at which point we can expect every game from that OS to break on windows 11.
      Microsoft only cares about Xbox games, PC gamers need to learn linux or get used to being treated as console players.

    • @SineN0mine3
      @SineN0mine3 2 месяца назад

      Windows 10 support ends in 13 months, there's never been a better time to swap to linux.
      Windows has been getting worse with every iteration since 7. The OS was already doing everything it needed to and they're now removing features to replace them with cloud bullshit nobody asked for.
      Meanwhile, all the things you love about Win10 that are missing from 11 have been standard in Linux for years.
      You also won't have to throw out your computer because Microsoft arbitrarily decided it's not good enough to run their spyware riddled bloated dinosaur of an OS on.
      If the obvious failings on Microsoft aren't enough, have a look at their AI plans and what they mean for your data security and safety.
      They're using the OS as a training tool for their AI, it's not designed for us at all. You can't opt out of these features anymore either.
      Microsoft are quickly going the way of Yahoo or AOL. We'll remember the name had something to do with computers but we'll struggle to remember why everyone put up with them for so long.

      Depending on the game, you might experience lower FPS for example tiny teen Wonderland runs better in Steam West then it does in windows, but it’s never like utterly Game renewing differences and yes, it does have worse battery life but it’s not like the previous battery. Life was amazing so I was just gonna be a little worse. That’s due to windows more extensive background tasks.
