It is worth it, if you use it a lot. Don’t buy it if you just use it a few times per month. As a local semi truck driver, some of these places take 2-3 hrs to unload our trailers. So I use it a lot. It’s also good to pass the time.
I bought a deck after seeing one of your videos. Even the comment section was filled with support. Since getting it about 2 weeks ago I gotta say it's been pretty damn cool.
A month ago, I had to RMA my Steam Deck due to audio issues. I was 2 months outside the warranty period, so I was kind of hesitant to contact them as money is tight right now, but I figured maybe try and see what they say. Valve replaced my Deck with a brand new unit for free! All I had to do was send in my old one. Even better, the new unit they sent me is the revised version! It has the black heat shield inside, along with better button haptics, and the better/quieter fan. Their customer service quality can’t be beat! :D
Yes really frankly I think 12 months is way too small for warranties. You're talking about electronic devices that cost 500 bucks or more sometimes.. I know a lot of countries like Australia and possibly in Europe require at least two full years. The fact that people buy s*** and they break 15 months afterwards and they have no recourse. Thankfully the steam deck is a nice outlier in that repairs and upgrades are relatively easy m
I haven't personally had to deal with Valve support for my Deck but I know a few people who have. Every single person that I've spoken to about it raves at how amazing the customer service experience is. That's so rare today and I'm happy that they are like this. Makes me feel even better about putting my money into their ecosystem.
I got one when they had their 1st anniversary sale, and I don’t regret it. Even with the release of the OLED, I’m very content with my LCD version, it just works and even if a game doesn’t work immediately, people have figured out ways to get them to work just fine.
I was sold on pc handheld that’s not windows based. And to be honest this thing pushes the boundaries of what I thought it would be capable of. I’m playing Tekken 7 & 8 for hours with an external battery. Not some dummy version made for a handheld device, the real deal. I kept my lcd version just for emulation purposes when I got the upgrade. I bought my brother one because it is just that amazing. If you are PC savvy it can almost do anything. I hope Steam develops a phone to really nail down how great this thing could be with true portable chat and WiFi/Bluetooth connectivity. Game changing would be an understatement!
I just got mine in the mail on Tuesday. I got the top tier OLED. I'm so happy to finally own a steam deck. I'm enjoying it quite a bit. It's so cool having a Linux PC in handheld
@@rodrigor.gobatto7694 depends on the mods, if you need to change some files around yes, if you need external software you still can but it can be harder a little bit.
My gf gave me a switch two years ago and I have been extensively playing it since then!! It's a great console, but I started getting annoyed when the games crashed and ran poorly a couple of times. I have a big Steam library sitting there, waiting for me to play some games. After these two years, I realized that Steam Deck is definitely a better option for me. I decided to buy one as soon as I finished playing all the games in my Switch Library.
Having a large Steam library make purchasing any other console almost pointless (Steam is getting a lot more couch multi-player). I have always had a hard time building out console library, but Steam has made this easy for years. The new family feature is awesome, we now have 3 Decks and even though my account has all the games, we can all play something.
Just came back here to say that I bought the Steam Deck and I'm very happy with my purchase. I will have many years of fun in front of me. I'm a digital Nomad, so having a Deck with me is just perfect. The switch is cool but I like to play retro games. I already installed a few emulators in my SD. Life is good
Dude you are great. You brought some good points which aren't in many other videos like adding wireless controller wake. Also you don't have many filler words and are a great communicator. Subscribed
I borrowed my brother-in-law’s deck for about a month and loved it so much I went hunting for my own. I managed to find an OLED deck with a kill switch case included for just over $400. I’m so thrilled to have my own now, as this is my first dip into “PC gaming” as a lifelong console guy
Woah nice dude, you got the best deal on an OLED I’ve seen. I use mine almost every day and I love it. It’s made me appreciate the flexibility of pc gaming. Being able to pick up and play and switch between it and my desktop anytime is amazing. Just knowing that a game I buy now will always be compatible with any PC upgrade I get in the future makes a purchase feel like it’ll never be “obsolete” like it does with all the console games I’ve gotten in my life
Traded my Series X back in November of 2023 best decision ever no regrets! I play everything on here more than I did my Xbox I’m blown away it even exists. I’m stuck on Nioh 1/2 Fallout 4 Diablo 4 The division 2 Horizon zero dawn Divinity original sin 2 Dicey dungeons Brotato Inscryption Titan fall 2 Read by daylight It’s crazy I’m playing GOATED games like these and more on a handheld! It’s great if you’re traveling or if you’re always on the move. If you’re a parent, a truck driver, can be down time during breaks at work or school. This was my first real experience at PC gaming and building a library. I’ve been a Console player my whole life and an Xbox user for 15 years I can’t praise enough.
I got the OLED after much hesitation. I thought I might not play on it, also thought it might be too big for my hands. (I don’t have small hands but I don’t have big hands either) but it feels great to hold, and I just started emulating games on it. I have no regrets buying it and have been having a blast!
I'm about to buy an og steam deck, it's nice to see a newer review since many of them are months or years old already. I had my boubts, but I mostly think the same way as you, especially in the fact that you do not requiere to buy new games since it's literally just another pc to play in. Now I'm confident in buying it, thanks.
We don't need a lot of power in a handheld. We don't need to have the greatest specifications. Your PC can already do that. As long as the game is fast. Great. And fun. Then you won't have any issues
Playing my ps5 and xbox series x on The deck Daily. Playing indies natively and watching movies at night. The deck oled covers everything for me. It also opens up The tv screen for me while playing on The couch. Chefs kiss😊
So tempted to get one... after selling my switch oled last year I was thinking about getting another one but the more I see on the deck the more I want one!
I got one like 3 weeks ago and now my ps5 is just there collecting dust and i do think the steam deck is possibly for most people really simple to used
I’ve had my steam deck about 7? months now. I have windows 11 on it, and just upgraded my storage to 1TB. Love the deck so much! I got all my steam games, and World of Warcraft as well. Trick for WoW is to download the ConsolePort addon, load up, log out, disable console port and log back onto the toon, and you can still use the joysticks and use the original HUD. I tried the Steam OS and it’s okay… but windows is the way to go.
Picked up a Steamdeck 1TB OLED and I kept my expectations low / realistic. Gotta say, I'm impressed as it makes for an excellent addition (not a replacement) for my PC.
I use it as my main gaming device, docked even to a 4K tv😅(doing 1st run with Elden Ring and red dead 2 on it) . I have a gaming laptop plenty more capable than my deck, but having 4 kids and working a labor job, I somehow prefer handheld/hybrid gaming now, what started from the vita, then to the switch and 2 steam decks now. Plus with my Steam account since 2009, my backlog is crazy full. That being said you are right about expectations and reality especially from people looking at it face value.
Best purchase i've made in a long time, i use my deck all the time for gaming and as a portable pc. My beefy desktop has been catching dust for months, nothing beats getting home tired from work, laying down to rest and playing on the deck.
Bought a steam deck in December. It was my introduction to PC Gaming and I can say it’s been amazing. The steam deck itself is awesome coming from a switch oled u can right away tell the difference in resolution, ergonomics, and performance. Very comfortable, size is just enough for portability. It ultimately initiated me to build my first PC to be able to run those higher demanding games, along with the rumors of a PS5 Pro I just said fuck it and invested in a pretty high end PC.
Since launch I wanted one but no option for OLED screen made hold out and got the glossy OLED when it launched. It's awesome. Its like the perfect bridge between console and PC and what a future Xbox OS could look like if Microsoft are smart.
I own a switch AND my steam deck is arriving this week and idk why people try make out that it’s either one or the other when they’re both amazing for different reasons, you don’t have to choose between owning a steam deck or a switch
As good as the steam deck is, for gaming on the commute to work, i rather take a switch lite than my Steam Deck. Having a job does help to be able to buy more than one system for those wondering how we can afford it
I am doing some research on maybe getting a steam deck (never owned one yet) and this video is right on time and VERY helpful. Thank you for mentioning you can hook it up to a TV, i wanted to know that! 👍👍
I got it about a month ago and enjoying it very much! This video was the one that made me buy one honestly. I played a lot of Cyberpunk and it really is awesome. Totally worth the money. The BEST feature is actually the on/off sleep-mode hehe. Being able to just pick it up, turn it on and continue the game wherever you left it is great.
I have had a switch, and a Play station Portal here recently. I do plan on getting a Steam Deck your videos have been a big help and any questions or suggestions for accessories are awesome thanks for the videos.
Just got a Portal and am not happy. I spend as much time trying to connect as I do actually playing, even then it's pixelated and glitchy. Looks like Steam Deck is the best portable gaming option around
Are these issues happening if these bags are used daily? I just got the pochette metis in monogram canvas from the Kusama collection. I love the multicolored polka dots and hope they donât melt on me, lol. But I donât think itâll be in my regular rotation. I also have a NoeNoe in DA but only use that a few times a year in the spring and summer so I havenât put that much wear and tear into it. I hope I donât see the fraying for a while. Also, Iâm saving up for a kislux . Has your colleague seen the same issues with that size? I donât mind some relaxation in shape but I donât want it to be a puddle either. Thanks for the video!
Don't get me wrong, i love the steam deck and own one myself, but i'm getting tired of these claims that games on consoles are much more expensive. There are sales on those consoles too. Plus there is the option of physical copies. For my ps5 i bought ff16 for 39 dollar and ff7 remake integrade for 28 dollar and both were new copies when i bought them a while ago.
Yeah! Ikr.. Even digital sales are worth a look nowadays. Sure...steam games are more affordable most times and if there's no sale going on, the prices on consoles often are way too high (for way too long). But especially if you enjoy indie games, prices often are comparable to cheap Steam keys. And bigger companies like Ubisoft etc usually have price drops just a few weeks after release. Yes, even on consoles! xD
That’s what I was thinking. I recently bought a bundle off the Xbox store containing both the Crash and Spyro remastered trilogies, and it only cost $30 during the sale. If you wait long enough, you can save big even on console games.
I usually see better discounts on steam and even gog than I did in the console stores. Plus the portability just wins out over any graphics for me. Unless I have to have a brand new game now they just wait on my wishlist, and I usually buy everything that's 70-90% discounted once or twice a year. It's actually ended up cheaper than paying for psplus especially considering how many I actually have time to play.
I bought mine almost exactly a year ago when they were on sale for 20% off. It has allowed me to finish games a lot more it basically doubled the amount of gaming I can get in per week since I take public transit to and from work. Its also great at home when I want to be away from the desk or on the toilet. Also have taken it to the gym a bit to use on the exercise bike, and can simply store in my bag when doing other things I can use it with. There are only a few games I can not get to constantly work on the steam deck. 100% best purchase I have made in recent years.
I’ve beat multiple games outside in the shade on the lcd deck like Witcher 2 and 3 and da2 and just recently sold my series x cause I just can’t stand sitting in front of the tv anymore while I play. I got my deck early on in its life and have spilled water on it., dropped it on hard wood from high up multiple times and the thing is honestly a tank.
My best friend has been wanting me to get into Elden Ring so we can play online but i dont have my own consoles + no space for a full on PC, so I've been considering the Steam Deck. I might get it with my next check since theres a huge variety of games that will be open to me and the portable aspect of it all.
I completely agree with this video. However, I really can't stand playing Helldivers on my Deck unless I'm doing it via remote play because the performance hit is too much.
I’ll always cherish my steam deck close to my heart it’s just an amazing console that i am surprised i didn’t get it sooner. I have my Steam Deck heavily customized with windows dual booted and emu deck making it my ultimate handheld i would use a lot. Last month or two i brought my Steam Deck to the city making the 4 hour long drive a little bit less dreadful
I'm honestly getting it for the portability, it's the one thing I hate about my PS5, it's the lack of portability, especially since I'm the type of person that gets antsy staying in one place too long
I'm leaning towards an ROG deck to substitute a console to plug into a TV and a "home" laptop (as opposed to a work one, the use cases are basically checking emails occasionally and paying bills, maybe a zoom call with relatives once a year). How much tinkering does it really need, I'd love avl video about that.
About game prices, you can’t buy used games or resell them with steam but on consoles you can resell your disks when you’re done or buy them used. Before jail breaking my ps4, I had never paid more than 15$ for a game and resold them for about the same price when done. So there is that. You do have to wait 12-18 months for that price used, but games just released are also expensive on steam. And most AAA games aren’t playable after numerous patches and a year has passed anyway, so yeah.
Just bought one and it's one of the best gaming investments I've ever made, the things us absolutely incredible AND now I share games between my handheld and my PC
I got my Steam Deck OLED this week, is the Battery still good after so many hours? Can I get a powerbank and use it with the Steam Deck? Is that a good idea or will the Battery suffer from charging and gaming at the same time many times?
You can charge it and play the deck at the same time. It is design to limit the total wattage so the more wattage the deck is using to run the game the less will go charging the battery. Playing demanding games will take much longer to charge the battery. You want to get a power bank that at least put out 45watts. I'm using Baseus 65w for the Deck , phones, Switch ,etc.
Seconding the other use, yes. No issues using a power bank. You can use Powertools to limit max charge level on the deck and run the deck off the power bank. I have a baseus blade 100w battery bank and I can run the deck exclusively off of it and it runs for ever.
@@smidlee7747that’s because after a certain percentage of battery the deck instead just pulls power straight from the outlet rather than the deck battery itself
Trying to decide between this and the ally. Steam deck seems like it has a better interface but I’m also wanting to play my Xbox games portable on it so it seems like the ally might have a better set up for that. Thoughts?
you nailed it, i'd say look at what your top 5 games you're planning on playing on it, and then check out each of those. generally speaking if you dont need the performance (aka its not a new AAA title) then get the deck, if you need that extra horsepower, get the ally
I bought different ergonomic attached controllers a long time ago for the switch. changes everything. Waiting for the the oled steamdeck now though. The emulators and game selection outside of nintendo is hard to beat.
A small correction about game prices: on switch there are few to no sales, especially for first party games; on playstation however they are always a big catalog of discounted games, you can always find a game you want on sale for more or less 30€ if you wait a couple of weeks, the witcher is less than 10€ right now; couldn't say the same for xbox tho since I have never owned one or opened the MS store
May be a dumb question, but if you play a game on your PC through Steam and then travel with the Steam Deck would you be able to pick up from the same save point as on the PC? Or is it two totally different game instances you'll have to play?
Depends on the game but most games have cloud saves which means you can pick up where you left off but only if you connect to the internet to sync your saves.
the vast majority of games have cloud saves that work right out of the box and so you'll be playing on the same save even if you switch between devices
Yep, just bought one of these OLED bad boys and stoked to get it and play it in a few days!! I like my Switch and the portability; looking forward to added versatility with my PS5 And XBox games when I travel. Thanks for the video -- helped reaffirm my decision to add this to my gaming gallery... =)
I already ordered my Deck OLED yesterday but I gotta say, there's no way you're able to play Helldivers 2 at sub-30 FPS and not get a headache, were you just testing stuff/the graphics were high? I already have my 3070 ti rig for more demanding games but there's no way Helldivers 2 cant at least reach 40FPS on Deck, right?
When it is in the low 20s, he is on difficulty 9. I haven't tested it myself because I have it on PS5, but apparently 6 and up doesn't do as good on the deck as 5 and down for helldivers 2
I got mine back in late 2022 and really enjoy it. Installed decky loader which stop working from time to time but it’s a must if you want to customize your deck. I play it a few times a month or not for months so I’m not sure it was worth getting but it’s a cool handeld for sure. Biggest advantage is the steam control mapping imo.
I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the kislux leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.
@@ezioauditore6371 second hand but i had luck with the guy listing it for such good price, i dont know why, it was like new + the 512 gb sd card great deal!
As a new Dad with an amazing Desktop, I now might have to move to the steam deck to play since playing in the computer room, is becoming more and more rare. I was looking into just using my phone but lag would kill me. For someone who plays 7 days to die modded, can you mod on steam deck?
Switch exclusives aren't available on steamdeck unless you do what you did legally. You have a switch though, so you still need that console to emulate them. I might consider getting a streamdeck after a sale or price drop.
I had both, but I sold the Ally because the battery is so bad that you end up being plugged in all the time. You need to be plugged in or at 20W+ to get better than deck performance. I might as well just go on my PC if I'm going to be plugged in. Plus, it was only a matter of time before the SD card slot died. ASUS has recently dodged questions from The Verge about the SD card slot, which is worrying. A broken SD card slot kills the resale value.
@@V1CT1MIZED I have both and I play almost every game on the Ally at 15W. With that the batterylife is almost the same. If there is a game that needs the power I have to sacrifice the batterylife, but can play the game. The SD on the other hand starts to struggle. That’s the point why I’m selling the SD and keep the Ally. I mean if I’m on the plane or train I take my powerbank with me and just play for 4 -5 hours with 15W and 3 hours with 25W 🤷♂️

I have some regrets with regards to it, not getting a better PSU, not getting an SSD, and not unplugging it on that night when there was that lightning storm. Had my steam deck OLED for about a week. This thing continues to wow me I love it so much and I haven’t put it down. Hell I’d even say it saved gaming for me.
Thanks, that makes things pretty clear for me. I have had a switch lite for many years. I love it when paired with a nintendo pro controller. Was thinking wait to get a switch 2 as my next gaming upgrade, but now I know the steam deck is right one to get next. There are so many games I can't play on the switch, some games are always expensive, and I want to mod games. I like how they made a streamlined experience.
Steam deck 512 gig is only 399 where I live now and a switch is 299 i say for the extra 100 bucks u get a lot more out of the steam deck and the switch oled is actually almost as much at 350
i’ve been really thinking of getting a handheld device for when i go to work. i'm a school bus driver and when i go on sports trips, i’m always just on my phone watching movies or a show and it gets boring. this video really talked me into a deck instead of a switch!
Loved your review! Very honest, passionate and informative! Im so hyped to buy a new console. I remember when I was a kid, playing so much on the psp and absolute it loving it. I miss those times of just having a portable console to play. And I think steam deck is my way to go because of the reason u just mentioned. It feels like just a console. Not like a computer with windows and other features that you would see on a regular pc
I bought a broken Steam Deck recently and fixed it. I planned to flip it, but since then I’ve been obsessed with upgrading it 😅 top 2 upgrades I recommend is the upgraded fan that doesn’t sound like a jet engine and the Jasux rear airflow case.
Getting one on marketplace tomorrow, pretty pumped, decent price with a dock and HDD upgrade. Glad to hear you mention that here, glad to hear not many issues. Looking forward to it I have had steam since 09, maybe I will finally play Elden Ring.
I am about to have surgery on my achilles tendon and will be laid up and not able to sit in a chair. I had the idea to get one of these to play sitting in a recliner on my 65" TV on this think. A cordless mouse and keyboard and stream through HDMI to the TV. How well will this little thing do. Sidenote: I cant really play handhelds very well due to the lack of fingers on my left had....
6:00 Elden ring looks like shit on my television through the official dock. And you have to turn HDR off on the steam deck or else it will be very dark on your television. looks like the switch version on my TV.
I saved up money for a few months to buy a ZP, but it got scratched on the third day. I cried so much, and then my boyfriend bought me a bag from kislux for me to carry alternately. Anyway, there are so many bags on the street, so as long as others can't see it, I think it's fine. The thought is there.
Genuine Question I completely understand the point that paying for online can be a sore spot, but does the benefit of having a library of games that are included not make this point moot? I really do see that there are significant benefits to PC gaming over console, but this one doesn’t seem to fit.
yes it does make a difference! me personally i still would prefer to just buy the games i like and not pay subscriptions, but for osme people i'm sure its great!
Great video! I will definitely be buying one now. One question though: which model do you have? The glossy 512GB or the 1TB etched glass model? Thanks a lot!
i got the glossy 512, and thats what i prefer, if you want matte you can always get a matte screen protector, and i use a micro SD card for more storage :)
Your whole Steam library is carried to the Steam Deck once you link your account to the device, best of all, thanks to cloud saves you’ll retain all of your progress seamlessly regardless if you play on your PC or your Steam Deck, both will share their saves through the cloud I hope this answers your question, have a nice day!
My problem with the steam deck, even though I have two, is the load times. Compare loading Final Fantasy one pixel remaster on the steam deck versus the switch. The switch loads up so much quicker. This applies to all games. I don’t know why such a symbol game takes so long to load.
It is worth it, if you use it a lot. Don’t buy it if you just use it a few times per month. As a local semi truck driver, some of these places take 2-3 hrs to unload our trailers. So I use it a lot. It’s also good to pass the time.

With 4 kids I initially started off with 2 switches, and now it’s 2 steam decks for our hybrid entertainment.
Subscribed
I appreciate that!
Just knowing that a game I buy now will always be compatible with any PC upgrade I get in the future makes a purchase feel like it’ll never be “obsolete” like it does with all the console games I’ve gotten in my life
damn! thats an AWESOME DEAL

It’s crazy I’m playing GOATED games like these and more on a handheld!
Chefs kiss😊

I finally bit the bullet and bought one. Been debating on it for so long cant wait for it to get here and experience it for myself!
Rarely switch on my PS since getting a deck. Never thought I'd see the day
What games you mainly play??
I got one like 3 weeks ago and now my ps5 is just there collecting dust and i do think the steam deck is possibly for most people really simple to used
Buddy I'm not going to game on that because I just like playing on console

I’ve had my steam deck about 7? months now. I have windows 11 on it, and just upgraded my storage to 1TB. Love the deck so much! I got all my steam games, and World of Warcraft as well. Trick for WoW is to download the ConsolePort addon, load up, log out, disable console port and log back onto the toon, and you can still use the joysticks and use the original HUD. I tried the Steam OS and it’s okay… but windows is the way to go.
The steamdeck is $799 in Australia.
That's the same price as 2 Nintendo switches or a gaming PC.
Too expensive.
….said someone with enough money to afford both.
If u own both devices why bother watching anyway move along .

It's worth it.. I played Cyberpunk,Elden Ring, Armored Core 6,Red Dead 2 on it .
Total combined hours of 539 hours
I got it about a month ago and enjoying it very much! This video was the one that made me buy one honestly. I played a lot of Cyberpunk and it really is awesome. Totally worth the money. The BEST feature is actually the on/off sleep-mode hehe. Being able to just pick it up, turn it on and continue the game wherever you left it is great.
I have had a switch, and a Play station Portal here recently. I do plan on getting a Steam Deck your videos have been a big help and any questions or suggestions for accessories are awesome thanks for the videos.
I'd sell the Portal and just use remote play on the Deck, the OLED even supports HDR over remote play when the Portal doesn't
Just got a Portal and am not happy. I spend as much time trying to connect as I do actually playing, even then it's pixelated and glitchy. Looks like Steam Deck is the best portable gaming option around
@@Kiabeta I did sell the Portal I hated it, I got a Steam Deck and I love it.

It's actually ended up cheaper than paying for psplus especially considering how many I actually have time to play.
that’s a cool deal i guess but you can get the same games on steam or cdkeys for less than $10 :)
Yeah there’s always sales for PSN digital games. Holiday , spring , may , summer sales every year
I bought mine almost exactly a year ago when they were on sale for 20% off.
I got my deck early on in its life and have spilled water on it., dropped it on hard wood from high up multiple times and the thing is honestly a tank.
sitting outside while killling wretches is next level 😎
I just bought my own! I'm still waiting, but this video really reasured the purchase😂
Me too!
Had two at one point sold both. It just doesn't have the horsepower the newer handhelds do.
Check everything when you purchase it!
I had games crashing, thumbstick not working properly, L1 button sticking. Glad I have warranty
I love the information you provide in your videos keep it up.
P. S. Your tv in mounted to high. Bottom bezel should be about eye level while sitting
holy crap, just got to that part of the video and you're not lying. they're all looking straight up lol
thank you! yeah i shoulda put it lower but i'm too lazy to move it now lol
I'm honestly getting it for the portability, it's the one thing I hate about my PS5, it's the lack of portability, especially since I'm the type of person that gets antsy staying in one place too long
You could just remote play your PS5 to your phone and get better performance than the Deck?
I'm leaning towards an ROG deck to substitute a console to plug into a TV and a "home" laptop (as opposed to a work one, the use cases are basically checking emails occasionally and paying bills, maybe a zoom call with relatives once a year). How much tinkering does it really need, I'd love avl video about that.
What game were you playing with the other 2 people on the couch? Always looking for fun co op games to try and get my wife to play with me
About game prices, you can’t buy used games or resell them with steam but on consoles you can resell your disks when you’re done or buy them used.
I am hoarding rat... the thought of selling my games never ever crossed my mind 😅
I’m about to buy one this week definitely excited
How is it so far?
Waste of money imo
You sold it to me! I'm a sailor and have been thinking about this, and taking my console whereever I go is a pain in the arse.

HEY kislux !! I have been watching you for years and im so proud of where you have made it! I love you so much! Also thanks for making my day
Good content..I only have a different opinion about the docked experience. I just can't get it to play well docked.
Glad to hear that switch hand cramps isn't something i alone suffer from lol.

Switch exclusives aren't available on steamdeck unless you do what you did legally. You have a switch though, so you still need that console to emulate them. I might consider getting a streamdeck after a sale or price drop.
I just bought the ROG ALLY Z1E and I’m loving it for Helldivers 2, coming from the Steamdeck OLED. I’m glad I have both.

Genuine Question
I completely understand the point that paying for online can be a sore spot, but does the benefit of having a library of games that are included not make this point moot? I really do see that there are significant benefits to PC gaming over console, but this one doesn’t seem to fit.
yes it does make a difference! me personally i still would prefer to just buy the games i like and not pay subscriptions, but for osme people i'm sure its great!
My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.
I have a question, my friend: Can I download games from the PC to Steam Deck?
Your whole Steam library is carried to the Steam Deck once you link your account to the device, best of all, thanks to cloud saves you’ll retain all of your progress seamlessly regardless if you play on your PC or your Steam Deck, both will share their saves through the cloud
I hope this answers your question, have a nice day!
My problem with the steam deck, even though I have two, is the load times. Compare loading Final Fantasy one pixel remaster on the steam deck versus the switch. The switch loads up so much quicker. This applies to all games. I don’t know why such a symbol game takes so long to load.
