@@lhinmmet5403 it is a japanese band that includes classical japanese instruments and mythological themes in their music. They are called 身殺 or Misogii. The album is called 遠ツ神 笑ミ給ヘ (tofotukami wemitamafe) I think it translates to "distant god". Anyhow check them out really creative and refreshing stuff!🤘
Darkthrone - Panzerfaust Satanic Warmaster - Carelian Satanist Madness Beherit - Drawing Down The Moon Impaled Nazarene - All That You Fear (not pure black metal, pretty punky vibe, but anyway) Benighted In Sodom - actually one single track but it's amazing - Gray Flowers Striborg - one single track again, probably the only one by S. which is not boring - Misanthropic Necroforest.

@@thesilverikarus thank you. I am actually surprised by the lack of anthems. I underestimated peoples loved nightside eclipse. And of course early to mid era anaal is an acquired taste hahaha
Anaal Nathrakh is my favorite black metal band. Their 2003 EP "When Fire Rains Down From The Sky, Mankind Will Reap As It Has Sown" is one of the best things I've ever heard. Underrated and awesome.
@@thesilverikarus fuck yeah brother they r the shit. I agree that shit is nasty. It's sad most ppl I talk to only know the newer shit. They don't deep dive into how good the early discography is

@Oliver Seiring The album is called "Enthrone Darkness Triumphant", I just forgot the title in English at the time. I don't understand English very well. What I wrote is translated from Russian roughly as: "Something with darkenes".

Awesome to see some love for Groza.. so many people tell me it's their worst release, it's bleak and boring. You don't understand Mgla if you think that...
@@etnoselo4265 my favorite is WHTN, bit of a bridge between the old sound and the newer albums, and it's their most misanthropic album to me.. just absolute perfection! All of your other picks are on point too, 10/10 albums all of them
Always find myself coming back to MGŁA, literally all of their discography is great. Most often listening to Exercises in Futility and Age of Excuse. Their playing style is somewhat similar to Sargeist, and their drumming is phenomenal.
@@m3tal4life666 MGLA has no lyrics or album imagery which suggests they are in any way NSBM. I don't know enough of Deathspell Omegas work to comment on them however their vocalist has a 1 man band which has alleged ties to the NSBM scene in Finland.

1. Those Of The Unlight - Marduk 2. A Blaze In The Northern Sky - Darkthrone 3. Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk - Emperor 4. Thelema.6 - Behemoth 5. De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas - Mayhem 6. I'm kinda new to black metal, so i am gonna say a top 3: 1- Mgla - Exercises in Futility 2- Los Males del Mundo - Descent Towards Death (my recommendation to everyone) 3- Agalloch- The Mantle Edit: i forgot an album that helped me a lot, Thy Light - Suici.De.pression
my favorite part of black metal is that is about being a nonconformist and about not paying attention to trends or opinions, then you get people like 8523wsxc trying to tell you that you got to conform and follow the trends and opinions 🤨
@@beepboop204 And the fans... Cretins of the highest decree that not only think that pathetic ridiculous childrens music has something to do with Black Metal but who also struggle with the meaning of the most basic words. Like "literal" and "conformist". Just the lowest form of life.
Don't really listen to black metal that often anymore, but these are the albums i find myself coming back to time and time again. Here goes my two-cents (no hierarchy): Agalloch - Ashes Against the Grain Burzum - Det Som Engang Var (actually i like every Burzum album.. but i gotta pick one) Caladan Brood - Echoes of Battle Darkthrone - Old Star Immortal - Sons of Northern Darkness Lustre - Wonder Nargaroth - Herbstleyd (again a tough pick, i like every album) Nokturnal Mortum - Lunar Poetry Peste Noire - La Sanie des siècles [...] Summoning - Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame (again, might as well have been any other album by them) Woods of Desolation - As the Stars
no particular order: Këkht Aräkh - Pale Swordsman Emperor - In The Nightside Eclipse Xasthur - A Gate Through Bloodstained Mirrors Burzum - Filosofem Darkthrone - Transylvanian Hunger Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Immortal - Sons of Northern Darkness Mütiilation - Vampires of Black Imperial Blood Véhémence - Par Le Sang Versé Paysage D'Hiver - S/T
My favorites are A Diabolic Thirst and Infernal Decadence by Spectral Wound, Der Schwarze Hort by Totenwache, Transsylvanian Hunger and Panzerfaust by Darkthrone, Ravendusk in my Heart by Diabolical Masquerade, Noctvrn by Der Weg Einer Freiheit, White Noise and Black Metal and Fuck The Universe by Craft, The Secrets of the Black Arts by Dark Funeral
Nokturnal Mortum - The Voice of Steel Peste Noire - Ballade Cuntre lo Anemie Francor Immortal - At the Heart of Winter Obsequiae - The Palm of Sorrowed King Windir - Arntor Summoning - Oath Bound Inquisition - Obscure Verses for the Multiverse Hellripper - Coagulating Darkness Absurd - Facta Loquuntur Austere - To Lay Like Old Ashes Hate Forest - Purity
Cradle of Filth - Dusk and Her Embrace, Vampyre, and Demonic Christ - Punishment for Ignorance are the best Death Metal Albums with Black Metal Aesthetics ever recorded, and nothing else will ever come close. I think Under a Funeral Moon is the best. Transylvanian Hunger has a good sound, but no less than 3 tracks sound nearly identical. The band Destruction was the first band to popularize having 2 songs sound identical, but going beyond 2 songs that are the same is Overkill, and takes the fun out of having a whole album with little variation . There is something worthwhile in playing essentially the same music throughout the same album, but the fact that Transylvanian Hunger essentially went as far to include the same drums with no variation is too drastic. I would have enjoyed the album a lot more if they would have just made the track into a single long repetitive song. I love really long repetitive songs, but I don't like shorter songs that contain the awkward moments of silence between them, it throws off the hypnotic Trance, in which case it's time to embark on a new journey
In no particular order apart from the first being my favourite: - Any Deathspell record from "Si monumentum..." onwards - Halmstad/redefining darkness by Shining - Blaze, funeral moon, hunger and faust by Darkthrone - Burzum's whole discography apart from the ambient only shit - Antichrist by Gorgoroth - Autumn Aurora by Drudkh - Oath Bound/Old Mornings Dawn by Summoning - Frontschwein by Marduk - Outre/Vexovoid/Avow by Portal - All Peste Noire

You scored major points by mentioning Belphegor, sir! That whole mid period, from Lucifer up to Pestapocalypse, is just soooooo awesome. I still count myself luck for seeing them in 2007 at Wacken, before they went all wierd and lost their inspiration or drive or whatever you want to call it.

Im a Norwegian kid just getting into black metal, and this was really good for recommendations, def gonna be checking out more than a few from the comments too. The music intrigued me since i was already an avid listener of breakcore, and regular metal just didnt have the same oomph anymore, i ended up here. Both a horrible and amazing community, i’ll be sticking around.
I don't really have a top list for albums but I feel like I tend to go back to a few a lot: Dark Funeral's "Diabolus Interium", Mayhem's "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas", and Dimmu Borgir's "Enthrone Darkness Triumphant". I could go through every single album I liked from those bands (even though a few of them turned into mediocre bands after some time), as well as other bands where I enjoy their entire discography lol... but that's the short list.
И польская (Mgla, Kriegsmaschine, Gruzja, Odraza, Furia, Biesy). Поляков люблю за ощущения особенной злобы. Они любят перкуссию. Любят создать ощущение чего-то масштабного, порой минималистичного. Не уверен, что ты прочитаешь мой коммент. Но, я решил поделиться. Слава блэк металу!

One of my favorite things to do in my spare time, is to discover new albums. Thank you for the recommendations, I will check them out.

2…
Im a Norwegian kid just getting into black metal, and this was really good for recommendations, def gonna be checking out more than a few from the comments too.
The music intrigued me since i was already an avid listener of breakcore, and regular metal just didnt have the same oomph anymore, i ended up here.
Both a horrible and amazing community, i’ll be sticking around.
Bros true😭
I don't really have a top list for albums but I feel like I tend to go back to a few a lot:
Dark Funeral's "Diabolus Interium",
Mayhem's "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas",
and Dimmu Borgir's "Enthrone Darkness Triumphant".
I could go through every single album I liked from those bands (even though a few of them turned into mediocre bands after some time), as well as other bands where I enjoy their entire discography lol... but that's the short list.
Enthrone Darkness Triumphant is great. The era when Dimmu was on the Gods of Darkness tour with Dissection, they complimented each other well.
Abruptum - De profundis mors vas cousumet
Best album imo
И польская (Mgla, Kriegsmaschine, Gruzja, Odraza, Furia, Biesy). Поляков люблю за ощущения особенной злобы. Они любят перкуссию. Любят создать ощущение чего-то масштабного, порой минималистичного. Не уверен, что ты прочитаешь мой коммент. Но, я решил поделиться. Слава блэк металу!
