PROBLEM : Don't know what to study in College
Almost 2 months since 12th boards over
thought I'd study Computer Engineering since the hype was around it and I liked programming & was also giving it time 1-2
times a week .But I'm unsure what to study now because of lots of available options.
When I study maths for few days, I feel like majoring in math.
When I solve programming problems for few days, I feel like majoring in CS.
I'm not being able to make a concrete decision, or set a destination at all. This is why my daily tasks are almost empty.
Even to study engineering there's an entrance exam(Math,Phy,Chem,English) & with less than 2 months left, it can't be
cracked with half-assed goals like mine.
I actually want to study abroad(in a scholarship programme ,if possible) but since I can't decide what to study at all,
my days are vanishing in the blink of an eye.
-Things I'm a lil' bit good at: Math, Programming
-Other things I want to do(tried once): Fiction Writing, Music Making, Animation
---How to quickly take action so that I can stop wasting my days?
Bro, I am a software engineer who passed out of college in 2019. I think you are suffering from classic "choice paralysis". I would suggest you to do 2 things :-
1) Programming is a very vast umbrella and it has many domains. I don't know what are the things that you have explored so far but I would suggest that you deep dive into building stuff either in backend or frontend and then see if this is something which gives you kick and can be done by you for long period of time for the rest of your life.
2) Studying abroad is not a joke especially if you come from a less financially privileged family as it requires good planning and resources. I suggest you first start researching into various UG programmes and see their syllabus and professors. Since you said you liked maths and computer, search for courses in "Mathematics and Computing".

I think almost every competitive exams for engineering field are over and i don't know which one you are talking about and preparing for it and it seems like you are interested in maths and computer science, if you have decided to do engineering, you still have 4 years and in that period of time you will figure out what major should you want to do but for now don't think about it that much, and also computer science and mathematics are the fields where you can jump to one another and it won't be difficult switch the fields, anyway good luck 👍

1: 2024 “majority” N number of people know how social media works to generate money.
2: She wasn’t famous for taste but people who disguise themselves as food vloger to grab attention and to sole purpose was to get viral for any clip.(10-15 videos from a channel “per day”)
3: so the pattern was FB>insta>YT>memes>local news
