It's "KN-SE" which means Kent Nishimura - Shima Enaga, as you can see on the link. Shima Enaga is the name of a well-known little bird in Japan. It appears as an inlay on the 12th fret of the guitar.

What makes Kent so special is that his music is easy to listen to because he makes sure that all the essential parts is in his arrangements, whether that is the vocals, guitar lead, rhythm guitar, percussion, keyboard riff, etc. It's a high level of difficulty the way he plays, but he makes it look so simple. Every note is 'massaged" and has the right feel. He does all of that without flash, making his music speak for itself. There are countless of fingerstyle guitarist in the world, but so many do it with flashy embellishments that doesn't necessarily sound good or fits the song. If you listen to the other flashy fingerstyle guitarist and close your eyes, it sounds like a mess. With Kent, if you close your eyes and listen to him, you enjoy the song, feel relaxed, and swear there are 3 guitar players playing. That's what separates Kent from the rest.

@@1tinytanic Generally no, very rarely he will have 2 overlapping parts maybe but then you will see another video of him playing the other part show up on screen.
I'm not sure how many musicians it took to perform this song, but for one man with a single guitar to bring every element of the song to life in my head is mind boggling. I can hear the drums, the bass, the vocals, the keyboards but all I see is a guitar.

Kent's music sounds so good without unnecessarily flashy embellishments like so many other youtubers do. In my opinion, he shows his mastery by showing restraint and respect to the song by letting as much of the music speak through his guitar as possible. When Kent plays, I can "hear" the voice in the lyrics singing.

Plenty of comments about Kent not being flashy, me included. But now that I think of it, maybe that's only partially true? For people who actually see, hear, and understand what he's doing, there is a lot of flash here. It shows his deep understanding of what makes a song and arrangement good and he replicates and performs all those key parts altogether in one instrument. Some people will say genius would show if he puts in his own arrangements and make the song "his own", and that could be true if it was a full band. But him almost religiously following the original song's arrangement and converting it all into one instrument is just out of this world harder in my opinion.

I'm not really a fan of cover versions unless they're exceptionally good. I love Elton's voice and expression in this song, a classic that only sounds right when Elton sings it as it feels and sounds unique to him. As I'm learning to play guitar I thought I'd give this instrumental version by Kent at least a hearing. My goodness I was blown away by the expression that Kent managed to extract from those strings. I was carried along as if on a magic carpet, despite there being no vocals, the voicings are all there, a truly captivating arrangement, beautiful and measured in its execution, bravo! 👍❤🙏

Great tone, splendid arrangement, dynamics and crescendos are spot on, the arrangement is simply beautiful and does total justice to the original.
The execution is so magical it brings goosebumps.
There is not one note less nor more than necessary. The fact that Kent, the arranger, is also a guitar virtuoso is evident, but never showed off in your face. Kent is never over the top. His abilities are at the service of his arrangements, which is what all great musicians do.
In a just world, Kent would have 20 million subscribers, not some stupid influencers.
