same, i started playing guitar 2-3 months ago, i finally gave this solo a shot yesterday and now i can play it fairly well! (still gotta get some stuff better)
@@howardalien2720 i tap. the technique is making ur fingers stay close to the frets, almost as if they were shaking. dont elevate em too much. dunno if my explanation was clear, english is my 3rd language, hope i helped!
Kirk , does the same 3 techniques for all of his solos , really boring , this one is good but most of his solos are mehh st best , o how could i forget got to have wahwah on everyone of them
Tapping at the beginning of this solo is underrated. I've always suffered to play it as fast as Kirk did in this take (he never played it that fast live) to make it sound as cooler
He still could if he just sat down and wrote one out instead of improvising like a dumbass. His Day that Never Comes, Unforgiven III and spit out the bone solos were pretty good
…AIJF might be my favorite Metallica album, but that tone is so shrill and awful by itself, it’s everything bad about 80’s metal guitar tone. But hey, it worked for the record
The guitar tone on this album is good its a little dry but it still sounds nice I think. Idk why people are so damn picky when it comes to tone especially when metallica are the most famous and successful metal band ever. They must be doing something right and the tone doesn't suck.
@@JM00237the production on AJFA is ass but that’s more so how there’s no bass and how ass the drums sound, the guitars could use a little more reverb but sound fine otherwise
@@lokilaufeyson8683 I love Marty Friedman as much as the next guy. But this idiot saying this solo doesn't even compare is just stupid. this is the best solo in metal history
The guitar solo that made me want to play guitar, legendary
Same dude.
How's it going with guitar?

@@metalguitaridkhow do you do the tapping part? Its hard. Also do you tap or use the pick?

Bro is my dad
A little sloppy as his usual solos, but I don’t care because he has written some of the most iconic solos in the history of metal🤘

Why others can't do a solo like this with 100 techniques 😂??
brainless take
Ok then what about shortest straw off same album first solo you tell me if theres just the 3 techniques in there Mr. Expert???
Digan lo que quieran pero ese hombre no sabe tocar la guitarra
Imagino que tocas mejor que él, ¿verdad?
why don't you show him how to REALLY play guitar then, eh?
Poque si el solo ta bonito
Kirk was on fire in ajfa.
I rather think it was a crack :P
@@adamkwiecien5489 even without crack. You gotta give him credit. Can’t just blame it on crack
@@Taxable_Trophy Of course. Even on crack an average person can't play like that.
@@adamkwiecien5489 lol I know like 50 people who could play this in the 8th grade, Kirk sucks
@@buckbreaker5185 i dont think they can develop an original solo like this tho
Those magic fingers...and so talented ouf...love you kirk 🤘🎸

It was sped up in the studio so that’s why he doesn’t play it that fast live
FOD@ DEMAIS!!!
Back when Kirk Whammet could still string together a coherent solo.
Fuckinf hell yeah, can't stand lux aeternas solo, could've made a banger song if he wrote it properly
He still could if he just sat down and wrote one out instead of improvising like a dumbass. His Day that Never Comes, Unforgiven III and spit out the bone solos were pretty good
lol showoff

Ajfa has the best tone…

doesnt hold a candle to any of Marty Friedman's solos
nerd
It aint a competition
Who?
i’m the #1 marty friedman glazer, but even i have to admit this is a great solo (most of it anyway)

Sloppy 😮
Not really
do it better
All of Kirk’s solos sound sloppy isolated that’s just how he played but in the mix it sounds great
