Gordon I’m glad you’re learning that suffering in silence is not always the correct thing. It’s a good thing to share your story and to seek support from other people, absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Hey Gordon and Sonny. So good of you to share your story as you go through this. I know from personal experience how challenging intestinal problems can be. I was bedridden for almost a year due to a combined infection of H. Pylori (stomach), parasites & Candida (intestines) back in 2013. This ordeal was my trial by fire into the world of functional medicine. It took me years to regain my gut health. My breakthrough came when I had a complex therapy with a German doctor here in Munich who treated me with a mix of allopathic & functional medicine. This doctor is a major leader in mitochondrial medicine here in Europe. Since my recovery I have been working with him and we are educating doctors over here about his approach. The biggest mistake being made is this: the focus is only on gut health, which is not enough. ALL the body systems that are struggling need to be treated at the same time: starting with cell membrane health (this is absolutely critical, think nutrients need to go in effectively & toxins need to go out), liver health (for biotransformation, regeneration & protein synthesis), inflammation control (due to the current chronic infections, this is the main reason for low energy), the immune system (to effectively and aggressively deal with infections), mitochondrial health (for energy production and immune system health) AND of course gut health. What has worked incredibly well for me as a base therapy has been amino acids in powder form or IV instead of protein for a while (excess undigested protein can lead to amonnia buildup causing a lot of serious problems that stop recovery) and cell membrane therapy in the form of phospholipids and omega 3's. In the case of biofilm therapy, there is an approach that mechanically dissolves the biofilm (due to a specific type of fiber) from the walls of the intestinal mucosa in 4-5 days. Before this happens, you need to take probiotics AND prebiotics to rebuild the healthy biofilm and gut microbiome. Please contact me, I'd be happy to share what I've learned from my own experience, what has worked. Obviously I'm not a doctor and don't want to pretend to be one on the internet, luckily I know a few who are really good at their craft. Good luck, Gordon, on your healing journey. You will learn so much about 21st century medicine and this will be very valuable to all your students in the future. My major take away from going though this was this: Always focus on the solution (healthy mitochondria and what they need to thrive) and not so much on the problem (the diagnosis and its disease mechanism). If the body has what it needs to heal and recover, it will do its job in due time. Regards, Matt
I had same problem but my stomach was paralyzed from damage to vagus nerve in neck, last option was a pace maker for stomach but in last ditched effort I tried dry needling to stimulate nerve and have had some luck
@@bryceclark8985 Yes I did a 7 day maple water fast after Dr. Kharrazian , a functional medicine expert, which was incredibly effective to bring my inflammation down. I drank up to 3 liters of water. Per 1 l of water I added 1 tsp of high grade maple syrup to keep my blood sugar stable. Was the best fasting experience I ever had... Later on I did a very focused gut healing program to deal with the dysbiosis though.
Man, that sounds horrible, glad you got better. I think dysbiosis is going to be more and more common because modern life encourages it on every level. Antibiotics, excess intake, low quality intake, and lack of time in nature to get the macro\micro biome reflection. I love working in a natural garden and get the dirt all over me and eat carrots without washing them, just brush them off. I see that as a sort of complicated probiotic. Otherwise I try to eat a lot of different plant fibers to encourage gut diversity so they make all their magic chemicals in there that help encourage homeostasis. Also stay hydrated, not drink chlorinated water, get good sleep, and playfully water fast every day for the last 10 years. Had appendicitis a couple years ago, had to take antibiotics, got diarrhea, probiotics taken in between rounds took it away immediately. Hasn't been a problem since but I figure I must have lost gut diversity.
Hi there! I've been going through a challenging journey with gut health since contracting COVID-19 in 2021. Unfortunately, H. pylori wreaked havoc on my stomach, and any food I consumed would trigger severe flare-ups lasting for weeks. It was a difficult time, as I could barely eat anything. However, after being prescribed a combination of antibiotics and proton-pump inhibitors (PPIs), I was able to heal my stomach, but it seems to have disrupted the balance in my intestines. Recent stool tests revealed a significant overgrowth of bacteria that thrive on mycotoxins, so I suspect I might also be dealing with a yeast overgrowth. I'm reaching out to kindly ask for your guidance. Could you please share information about the specific fiber you mentioned that helps clear biofilm? If you don't mind, I'd also appreciate it if you could provide details about the prebiotic and probiotic protocol you found most effective. Additionally, any recommendations on supplements that could support my gut healing journey would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance for your time and support!

I'm a MD, this is not adding up. 1) I never heard of a case of streptococcal pharyngitis that took 1.5 months on antibiotics. 2) given Gordon's stomach issues and sensitivity to antibiotics, why the antibiotics were not administered by IV? That would have reduced the harm to his digestive system significantly. I think Gordon's went back on steroids, and it backfired.
My question would be why wouldn’t he say that that’s what it was then? He’s been open about using steroids and as far “going back on them”, he was probably juiced af at ADCC so seems more like he was using already. If something new triggered it I don’t get why he wouldn’t just say that.

Gordon! I'm kind of a new fan but your story has hit me (right in the gut). In my past I've had similar, out-of-control stomach issues and I feel your pain man. I'm about 10 years older and my gut got ripped apart in the 90's as a kid getting fed straight gluten and sugar. Add in a few crazy injuries and I'm in the same boat. Also I got pretty medicated as a teenager with massive amounts of anti-biotics to fix my (honestly, pretty minor) acne. Love you man and keep strong!
Hey bro, I know exactly what you’re going through and have been through. Antibiotics killed me wipe the good and the bacteria out of my system. The bad bacteria grew quick overgrowing everything consequently, when that happened everything whole part basically went through exactly what you’re going through. Continue to go to doctors for what I was going through and they continue to give me antibiotics. Consequently, I developed candida ( yeast ) which burrowed into my esophagus and stomach lining. In order to eliminate the yeast, I was on a strict diet no carbs, sugars, refined anything. I also was taking powdered Diflucan after three months I was feeling a whole lot better and I saw a light at the end of the tunnel. the doctor in for me it’ll never go away. Since then, to keep everything at bay, I have abstain from anything sugar which activates the yeast. If you need more information, DM I hope you get better champ. It’s a long road.
F*ck you Gordon, rocking Uncle Gordon’s stash 😂 It’s your cousin Dan Ryan. I’ve also had stomach issues too, but nothing compared to what you’re dealing with. Prayers & good vibes sent your way, get better 💯

I’ve been there with the stomach issues. I had 5 hospitalization of cdiff and now I had a poop transplant to help me develop healthy gut biome. Life changing
Love that your showing this. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease over 15 years ago. Every doctor had different advice but everyone’s body is different. My biggest lesson has been to understand what triggers my symptoms and listen to my body. Another big tip to avoid emergency rooms is if your symptoms are flared avoids solid foods until the inflammation calms down. this is just general advice for people who suffer with stomach problems.
Hope you get better Gordon Ryan. You are an inspiration and what you're going through makes you that much more of one. Prayers to you King. I Enjoy all of your videos!!!💯💯

Same here low carb, no sugar, Paleo diet completely healed me in a year. Don't need doctors, supplements, or pharmaceuticals, just a clean diet
Really cool to see a different side of Gordon! Can’t wait for his return to the mat. Speedy recovery 👑
Glad you made a channel love your stuff.
F*ck you Gordon, rocking Uncle Gordon’s stash 😂 It’s your cousin Dan Ryan. I’ve also had stomach issues too, but nothing compared to what you’re dealing with. Prayers & good vibes sent your way, get better 💯
I feel bad for him with those stomach issues.
Having stomach issues myself I appreciate you sharing. Very motivational thank you!
I love it. The best grappler of all time trains like a “bodybuilder “. Kinda shoots a hole in all the other gurus out there.
Well tbf him being the best in the world isn’t a function of him doing body building style workouts. There’s probably plenty of worse jiu jitsu athletes that could benefit from other forms of training
Yeah if gordon had a real strength and conditioning coach it would be unfair to us all.@@bmcclelland3
I feel bad for you man. Much respect for giving us some insight in what you're dealing with. I really really really hope you'll recover soon from that nauseousness. Grz from The Netherlands.
He finally figured out how to upload it from his phone 😂👍
he's whiped out, this been an all day ordeal
I’ve been there with the stomach issues. I had 5 hospitalization of cdiff and now I had a poop transplant to help me develop healthy gut biome. Life changing
Wish you the best ! Hope you get 100% soon. 🇧🇷
Have you tried a strict Paleo diet?
Submission by tummy ouchie. Pumped for the channel!
Looking forward to seeing you back on the mat! Hope recovery continues to go well!
Stoked for this channel!
It’s Really cool That you’re starting your own RUclips channel.
Props to Gordon for resisting sonny’s voice every single day. I have huge respect for the guy for this lol.
She sounds like an old lady lol
She speaks English with an accent because English is the only language you can speak or understand. 🤡
@@wake118 I know how accents work. She just sounds frail
Hope you get better Gordon Ryan. You are an inspiration and what you're going through makes you that much more of one. Prayers to you King. I Enjoy all of your videos!!!💯💯
Just shows you why guys get addicted to roids and can never come off, it's not real muscle, just steroid bloat and they never want to lose that look so it's roids for life. Imagine thinking you're a real man and can't even live in the wild without your trt shots. I'm 220lbs natural and never touched a drug.
Lmao "steroid bloat"
@@MelFaith420 I know hilarious
Gordon, I wish you a complete recovery.
It was obvious you were nowhere near 100% at ADCC 2024. The fact you still won both matches is extremely impressive.
Be strong Ryan,
Try some spiritual healing, a faimos person like you sometimes get a energeticinformational atak and your sideral body get sick.
Hey Gordon, have you tried glutamine? Helped my stomach greatly with repairing the stomach "lining", truly did wonders. 5g to 15g 3x per day, really cheap. Helped alot of bodybuilders eat alot over time. If you have not, you really need to try it
Bro, you have the coolest girlfriend (wife?). Either way, she's supportive, caring, and a teammate.... Rare.
Hang on to that one brother
Hey Gordon. I've had stomach issues my entire adult life. I know you've worked your tail off to get to the top and i can only imagine how frustrating this is for you. Everyone wants to blame roids however we know that staff is what caused your issues. Don't listen to rhe haters and focus on getting better. You're a unit bro don't let anyone ever tell you other wise.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy….
100 % support to world absolute champion 🏆
Yall think he actually made Nicky do his lady? 👀🐂
You should make more videos, not just on this but just in general, vlogs, techniques, lifestyle, use the fact that people know you to your advantage.
Gordon what happened to you? You look depleted and soft mate
I hope you get better soon. I have a eating disorder and struggle to eat. Wouldnt wish it in on my worst enemy. May god bless you
Good luck in your recovery. Wishing you all the best from your homestate, NJ.
Hey Gordon, have you ever considered working with Paul chek? He might be helpful, all the best for your health
Sonny is so great. So supportive and caring.
Whether or not Gordon returns he’ll go down as the no-gi 🐐. Hope to see you back on the mats soon brother!
This is amazing, hope you have a speedy recovery! 🐐
Thanks for posting this. I got a strain from Renzos and after two bouts of antibiotics I have your same symptoms. I am permanently on prescription meds as a result.
Heartbreaking to see you in pain mate. Its awful. Im praying for you thats theres someone out there that has the cure!!!!! ❤
its nice seeing the "Lighter Side" of Gordon; thank you for sharing this.
I hope you feel better! 🙏🏻 You are still very young and should be able to recover from anything. Just take a longer break from gear and enjoy some stress free life. Nobody is coming even close to your win record in a long while.
I like that he has a really good support during these times of difficultly. He’s strong and able to try again someone who falls will stay in defeat. Cheering you on Gorden
Hope you get better Ryan, 🙏🏽. I am curious though 🤔 how well would you perform without steroids?
I appreciate you making these videos because now I don’t feel alone like 15 years I had so many stomach problems I lost 40 pounds no one could tell me what was wrong with me then one doctor found that I had h pylori after that I had to take so many cycles of antibiotics and I was still coming out positive for about a year the antibiotics practically almost killed me. After that I’ve never been the same I always get sick very easy I also got my tonsils removed I’m doing much better now but not %100 everyone thought I was crazy so thank you for exposing your problem so you can people like me don’t feel alone on this horrible journey well I hope you get better soon and go back to whooping ass and thanks again
The John Wick of tummy medication. That was a good one Gordon that made me laugh.😂😂
Respect Bro - we are all rooting for you bud not just to get back to BJJ but to just be healthy. ✊
I mean even if I was suffering in silence… if people keep making fun of me and my serious health problem as a meme and not believing me I TOO WOULD COME OUT AND START TALKING. Your comeback is gonna be awesome gordon!
The king is back 👑👑👑
Respect for having such a super attitude despite the condition
