For anything but the most demanding basshead music out there these are hands down the best sounding Bluetooth headphones on the market. Not everyone will understand or appreciate their sound as they are not tuned for the masses, but these provide an incredibly balanced sound so much that I sold off a few of my high end wired headphones

Nah, I have them and am not a basshead. Focal Clear are my fave headphones for reference. I still prefer PX8. Warmer, meatier sound in the mids and just more enjoyable

@@FlossyCarter I wanna know how the PX8s compare to the MW75s! Also the H95s! I had the PX8s and felt they had a great sound, but EDM made me want a little more bass that maybe the MW75s can fix, but I’m waiting for the Floss opinion

I own the Focal Elex (wired, open back headphone) and I feel the same way about them. They're the most realistic, natural sounding headphones I've ever heard (like being at a concert). Definitely want to give the Bathys a listen someday.

the only thing I do not like about Bathys is the material they use on the headband. It seems to collect lint so fast

Focal makes premium headsets, they have this in their first version, can't wait what they will produce in the next iterations, but it's great to see the Hi-Fi world has started doing bluetooth/ANCs ...I have the Focal Radiance and they look & sound beautiful :)
I love these headphones. They are comfortable. The buttons are easy to use. The dynamic noise cancellation is good. The most impressive factor is the sound quality, by far the best I've had.
Flossy is the only person I have ever herd sing that I can genuinely rate as being in my league.

This was the review I was looking for! I was debating on the Sony MX5, PX8, Sennheiser's & Focal Bathy's. The solid builds of the PX8 and the Bathy's I was really leaning toward, as the premium (metal) builds are preferred. Excellent review! Now time to check out the PX8 review!
Went to audition them today and bought them.😎 They sounded indeed the way you said. Listened to the B&W PX8 too but that was not my kind of sound: great punch but the soundstage was too small, the mids too recessed and overall a sound signature that was too dark for me.
Could not be more happy with my Bathys.😎

Focal headphones are fantastic high end headphones and worth the price tag. I own the focal Elegia closed back and the focal utopia open back. I have tried many high end headphones but Focal make the best for the sound, build quality.
Idk about most viewers of this channel but I LOVE the long videos

I own the Focal Bathys, honestly i didnt know about the brand until this one came out and I got to say. This are on there with my Mark Levinson 5909. I own quite a collection of ANC Bluetooth Headphones. And the Focal Bathys are easily top 2 of the ones i own. I never go loud on them. These headphones are loud.

I got my M&D 75 AMG because of you and I love it I pray to god that you still number one in your list for very long time.
I managed to scoop up a pair from bloom audio. Gently used for 500. For wireless headphones, these things are pretty incredible. By far the best I've ever had.
Focal's goal is quality/clarity. They're tailored to audiophile purists over bassheads speaker-wise.
I used to be disappointed in Focal when I installed their mid-range car audio speakers in my SUV and noticed a lack of bass. I liked clarity and all, but where's the bass that makes it all come alive?
One subwoofer (also Focal) installation later, and *goddamn,* my music has never sounded so good. I get both deep punchy bass you can feel and crystal clear quality with a dynamic soundstage.
Obviously you can't add a sub to headphones, so naturally bass takes a hit, but I can't knock Focal off for it. They're one of the best if you're chasing audio quality, clarity, and as little distortion as possible. You just need a proper setup.
I would love to see Flossy put his singing on itune or Spotify😂
Having the Sennheiser Momentum 4s and Sony M5s at your top 4 and 5 was a satisfying thing while it lasted lol. I love how these ones look like wired Over Ear Monitors. Hope their price go lower at some point
Imagine if focal made a pair of true wireless anc earbuds . Back in my 20s i had focal in my car stereo system and man clarity was so incredible.
Kinda wish I'd waited for your reviews, was torn between M&D, B&O, B&W, and Focal. Went with Focal because lots of good reviews, newness, and man I love the look. But I'm happy with the Focal, they sound great, and honestly I can really hear the difference between DAC mode and BT. And I love the bass on the Bathys, but I am not a basshead.
Is there dac on Beoplay H95 ?
Yeah they are a little pricey but the build in DAC saves you money I travel with headphones and a DAC . Now I can just travel with these and still enjoy HIFI sound . Appreciate the the honest review my brother south side stand up.

It is interesting that Flossy is probably the only big reviewer to rank M&D MW75 at first. For some reason, no one is ranking it that high. I do not understand why. Hi Flossy - I am really considering MW75 over B&O H95 but I am unsure if the ear cup size is over the ear and not on the ear. Some reviewers are saying that the ear cups are too small and press against the ears. Can you please let me know your take on that aspect .. say, comparing this and Sennheiser Momentum 4s? I can buy and check it out and return but trying to avoid the hassle :)

@@electrology Yes, I would go for Bathys. They look as if they have more room to them and top it off with newer version of Bluetooth. I currently rocking my Sennheiser Momentum 4 while not great i do enjoy the listening of bad tracks in the recordings, and soundstage. Never had the Bathys but i go for them. I do miss the sound signature; natural sound of the guitar in the H95 and vocal impact.
@@alexsmith1207 Ordered the Bathys. I will compare it to H95 and then make a decision. But both Bathys and H95 have the same Bluetooth 5.1. Bathys doesn't have 5.2.

I have those. One of the best sounding wireless headphones by far. On par with my PX8
Try them in USB DAC mode with Apple Music lossless audio! Just make sure the gear you are using can support 24 bit audio. They are amazing.
Personally I still think the DALI IO-6 is the king of ANC bluetooth cans.

I bought the PX8s instead of getting these, my main wired headphones are the Focal Radiance and I’d heard these are a wireless Radiance from a tuning perspective. But I can’t wait for you to tell us how these compare to the PX8.

How do you like the PX8 compared to the Radiance? I'm also in the same situation where I have the Radiance as my at home daily drivers so I didin't want to purchase the Bathys for the same reason you mention.
White Shoes enjoying the unboxing is amazingly mesmerising.
I you should review the Mark Levinson 5909 anc headphones next. They are getting great reviews. Also, it might make sense to break the anc segment into two categories. With 500 dollars being the cutoff between the two categories.
Floss check out some iems. There are a lot of budget-ish options with planar magnetic drivers. Ones to check out would be the z12 (my favorite), raptgo hook, or tangzu wu zetian. Crazy sound quality as far as detail and overall balanced sound for the price.
Every headphone review on YT needs a Floss singing segment!! :)

Actually Floss, I'm telling one thing, I'm a musician and I know some technical things about music and audio, seeing the frequency response seems that it starts from 15Hz, which so much deep bass(sub bass), but when you put ur EQ in the app, the lowest bass starts from 62Hz, which is not the deep bass level, so if you put that it might not sound like clean or deep bass! But in JBL app, it allows you to adjust the EQ down to 32Hz which is sub bass level! So, when you review any headphone or speakers which can produce sub bass, adjust your EQ based on the frequency, if the proprietary app doesn't support sub bass level adjustment, you can use the paid version of Poweramp app, which is more powerful player, which allows you to adjust the EQ down to 16Hz! This is my small suggestion!
Do you know if theres any headphones that can compete with these that naturally produce deeper and cleaner bass? If not you cant do that if u use apps like spotify right at least on iPhone so
@@normalperson5487 Yeah there are! My Sony WH-XB900N can naturally produce deeper bass than this, as it has a Frequency Response Rating of 2Hz-20,000Hz!

@@FlossyCarter once I change the EQ settings I really really liked them but initially I was like man I’m not digging these but you also have to look at the bigger picture of comfort and ease of use. I like the turn ties for the volume and the noise cancellation in the on off switch. Also, the fact that they fold up was a big one for me as I Uber every day because I am blind, so I needed something that I could fold up and put away in my bag. but to me, they are very comfortable and that is also important. I like that fabric on the headband.
@@FlossyCarter what I was trying to say was that the dials for the noise cancellation and the volume are flawless I just think that these are for me what I would consider the total package, they fold up, have awesome sound once you use the equalizer, the battery life and they are so very comfortable I was hesitant about the price at first, but I thought about it and decided for how much I listen to music that it would totally justify them getting a lot of use and not something I would have to replace super often like earbuds would

These are the most comfortable is have because they dont lay on your ears like Masters & Dynamics.They sit on your head around your ears. The only thing I dont like is plastic buttons. The CLEARS open back wired is another world. But you paying $1500.00

Floss, great review as always! Have you been testing these high end headphones on your Samsung devices? I really want to pull the trigger on something like these or the MW75's but I'll be doing most of my listening on either a S22 Ultra or Tab S7+. The lack of AptX/HD or Adaptive support on Samsung's makes me feel like I won't be getting the best bang for the buck. None of the high end cans support LDAC either!
I usually use the phone that gives the headphones the maximum sound quality to be fair, but personally I'd get some headphones that work best with whichever phone you use as your daily.

Now we’re moving into the premium audio space. I see you Floss. The Bathys are easily the best Bluetooth sounding headphone. But it does not have as good of an ANC and pass through as the cheaper alternatives like the AirPods Max, Sonys, etc.
Definitely not ANC but the Transparency mode is killing Sony, they nailed it with these lol
Focal did that on purpose they didn’t want it to interfere with the sound of the headphones like many anc does.
These are one of the best Bluetooth headphones.

Try them with Tidal Lossless with USB-C cable and DAC mode.
The sand color gives me less trypophobia because the holes are same color as the exterior and they dont pop out as much 😂 I might grab those

The one thing I got to mention, Bathys sound better after some burn in time. I did like 200hrs and they feel warmer and bass got a bit more pronounced.
