… Rock music is explained like this: There is a lead guitar, an organ, a bass, a singer, a drummer... and there is DEEP PURPLE!! … There is nothing more to say!! 🎸🎹🥁🎤 Thank You
Great reaction. I think one you may really like is Deep Purple Lazy Live in Copenhagen Denmark 1972. This is a blues based song. I saw Deep Purple in concert in 1972. Their Machine Head tour. Also Deep Purple the Mule Live in Copenhagen Denmark 1972 Ian Paice does an incredible drum solo. You wont be disappointed with these two.
1970 , i was 3 years old my start as a Metalhead was 1980 , today with over 56 years and still long hair is that for me normal Music , my Love to Heavy Metal is stronger
I didn't at first. I think I was about 18 years old. I still love that song so much now as I do Quiet Afternoon and Hot Fun and his collaborations with George Duke, Chick Corea, Al Di Meola (Return To Forever). Anything Stanley Clarke frankly. ☮🎵
I would love to join you podcast live. The three of you have so much to share. I think it would be interesting to ask questions; probe your thoughts about the songs you cover. I am sixty years old, and I have had young college kids work for me over the years. They would ask great probing questions about what the seventies were like. Your being adults in the sixties I have questions I believe could give you inspiration to truly articulate the mood of this error.
Great reaction, sadly though the quality of the music audio is badly degraded from the original, there is a lot of distortion, my guess is the input audio recording volume was too high when you embedded it in your video. Put headphones on and listen to a bit of the original audio, then listen to your video, and you will see what I mean.
Thanks for tell me that. I actually got feedback that the audio was not high enough and I boosted it. I thought it was fine when I made it? With RUclips as a source it can be difficult. The next Deep Purple is 'Lazy'. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching.☮🎵
@@thetruerockandrollpodcast6544 No problem 😺... yeah it's easy to have the volume too high or too low without noticing, especially since each music video is likely to be a different volume to start with... depending on what software you're using, if it lets you tweak the input volume of the music track separately, maybe do a test run with a short segment of a loud part of the song before making the published video, and try to find the sweet spot... if your software has the meters that show the volume, just make sure they're not pegged to the max, lower the volume until they are just to the point where the meters barely max out at the louder parts
@@thetruerockandrollpodcast6544 Lazy is a great choice! I recommend the studio version, it's one of their most impressive songs musically, straight ahead blues rock beautifully done
Respectfully, um, the lyrics do NOT state "Kissed, by broken glass". Additionally, this is considered by MANY to be one of the GREATEST rock n' roll live performances of the 20th century. A fantastic singer and incredibly talented group of musicians. It's a Vietnam war response. Listen to the lyrics. I'm absolutely shocked by the RELATIVELY lackluster reaction. SMH
Yes we know King Edward had the lyrics wrong. Sorry you think the reaction was lackluster. It's who we are. Sue Ann is not really into them but we'll keep working on her. As far as the best rock performance of the 20th Century, I don't know how I feel about that. But I like this song and love Deep Purple. Thanks for watching. ☮🎵
Hmmm. I’m sorry that you feel that way about us. We could have started a RUclips channel about anything and been successful. Miniature cooking, camping in the rain, build a bush craft house, crypto currency, or some video game. But we didn’t. We started this podcast because this music means something to us. King is from the 60s. I am from the 70s. Sue Ann is from the 80s. We want to share our musical experiences and hopefully help others see the beauty and connectivity of all music. King Edward and I love Deep Purple, but Sue Ann, not so much. We don't all have to like it. We are free thinkers. But we will keep trying to win Sue Ann over. And we are alive, not dead. I hope you change your opinion about us, but it is okay if you don’t. Thanks for watching. ☮🎵

FYI - Ian Gillan the lead vocalist sang lead in the original Jesus Christ Superstar.
Yes I did know. Wish I could have seen that production live. ☮🎵
And was AWESOME. Gethsemane makes me cry every time
Ian did not perform this song much longer after this time. His doctor told him it would hurt his vocal chords.
That makes sense.
Purple, led zeppelin and sabbath were known as the unholy trinity. Nearly all modern rock stems from them.
The will take their place with the Gods for sure! Thanks for watching
Bullshit
You guys got mefor life.
Awww! Thanks for that. We are deep into Purple. I see that Ritchie has a Tavern Talk show. He tells great stories. ☮🎵
There is nothing better.
in the 70's Gillan was something else
They all were. Glad you enjoyed them. Sue Ann is still evaluating. We're working on her. ☮🎵

Yes! lazy is a great song. We'll make it the next DP.
@@thetruerockandrollpodcast6544 Ok thanks one of my favorite bands
Another good one.

Well it's great normal music. Thanks for watching. ☮🎵
Anti War song
I liked School Days the first time I heard it.

When we get to 1k subscribers we will be doing a livestream where people can call in and join us. If you are 60ish we want to hear from you.
@thetruerockandrollpodcast6544 Hear from me, you shall! ❤️

@@Wishes890 Glad everyone is being respectful. We are trying to have fun so thanks for that.
This song is about the viet nam war
Some people say the Vietnam War. Some people say the Cold War. Can we agree on just War. War is hell... ☮🎵
