This is a wonderful video - tapping of the rain, crackling of the fire, clink of the kettle lid, the rustle of a packet of good coffee and no talking 👍👍👍
This is a nice retreat for people who really appreciate the nature and quietness of the forests......with no talking, just the video with all natural sounds! Well done 👍
14:31 That moment when you expect him to stop after a few, but he puts in five scoops. Like your coffee strong, eh? This video was a real pleasure to watch. It was really calming -- made me feel like I was right there in the woods with you.
How content does he look. Soaking it all in. The sounds, the scent and the sights of the forest. Who needs tablets, phones, apps, social media..when you have THIS! You lucky fecker.
Wow the sound of the fire and rain on the tarp was music to my soul. I use to do that so many times and took it for granted. Today I have a house, cottage and all the toys but I still remember when I would spend my lunch time as a boy and in college doing that very same lean-to n fire. Thanks for bringing back the memories!
Very refreshing. Thank you. I'm recouping from a minor surgery and want to get out and relax just like that. Camp fire, hot drink and cook out over the camp fire. Sigh
Erik .. Mate .. I can watch this for whole of my life. Best thing is it comes without any music but only natural sound. This is the best video i have ever seen abt camping. After all we do camping for relaxation only. Cheers.. keep them cming.
I really like your fire building technique. Smart, efficient, low impact. Makes me want to make sure I have my small axe or hatchet along for these type outings.
I love that he simply goes out to enjoy nature. He doesn't destroy it or its inhabitants. His fire wood is from already dead trees. he is not hunting and killing the animals. These videos are truly peaceful. Bless you.
Being in the woods in rain is fresh and a comfort for me Ive been silent in the forest for a big part of my 61 years I was raised in this way(thank god) good work good cam work also!
Exactly how i have been erecting a tarp shelter for the last 50 years. The main guy line supports the weight of the tarp and the pressure put on it if a high wind picks up. good job with the video
No speech, no subtitles, no goddamned shit muzak. Just natural wind and rain sounds in a beautiful rainy wilderness, and a skilled bushcrafter doing his stuff; with just a couple of thumbs up. Great vid!
A very peaceful and relaxing film Erik. It just proves that in life you really only need nature within a beautiful forest or mountain to find true contentment. 🏕
You make this look so easy - - - - if I did this the bloody wind and rain would just get everywhere - but you look totally in control - - - thank you Erik for sharing - - I will watch and learn !
I liked the way he coiled up his para cord at the end using a figure 8 wrap between his thumb and pinky finger. I also appreciated the natural sounds too, w/o the yabbering. I added this to my favorites.
What a wonderful experience I just had with you! I made myself a cup of coffee here in rainy old Seattle and enjoyed the fire and forest with you. Thank you so much. Now I'm heading over to your Patreon page. I'll be happy to support your adventures.
This is what we love in your filming Erik, the simple struggle of lighting a fire and the satisfaction when it works out. Would love more of this in your latest vlogs rather than making it look easy and slick 😉
What made this better is the fact that i'm on a beach in my sleeping bag, I can hear the sound of crickets in the distant, not too loud, and the sound of calm waves, and of course with a campfire nearby
Bravo! I enjoyed every minute of this exceptional video. This is how it should be done. And now I finally know how to make coffee: ten scoops of coffee per cup of water! Thanks for the experience!
As I love all the peaceful silence, the moments you do say a word or two, you have a very nice voice! Always waiting for the thumbs up on the coffee sip. . .with a smile~
I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos several times a week, Mr. Normark! There is a genuine sense of serenity to them, which I very much appreciate. Wishing you the very best and Season's Greeting, Andrew in Canada.🎄🎄
Great video Erik, really enjoyed the peacefulness of the area and the rain tap-tap-tapping on the tarp. Very tranquil day out. Thanks for sharing, buddy. Take care.
Today I was laid up in bed not feeling so well, this video was just perfect, taking me directly into nature, the sights and sounds all wrapped up in woodland solitude. Then purposeful and masterful action - it might be a wet day - but with some know-how - dry (fat) wood available - some processing with sharp blades - and with a single match there is FIRE in the most difficult of fire making circumstances - just sheer magic! Coffee - real coffee - I can almost smell the aroma - on a wet day in the woods - what's not to like! Subtle, powerful, telling, skills shown and shared that might one day save your life - a Master on display taking us step by step - one small success leading to the next - with a cinematic style and pace that reminds me of Kurusawa - the Japanese Director of ' The Seven Samurai' every detail wonderfully portrayed! Surely a contender for 'Best Slow Short' prize...
Really nice camera angles and great way to spend a peaceful day. I come from the rainy Pacific Northwest and am now living in a much drier area. Nice to see the green and hear the rainfall. Thanks for sharing as always!
Thanks Erik. Camping in the rain is a skill also. I have a very similar camp axe made in USA by Council Tool. It is the Wood-Craft axe with19 inch handle. My sheath knife is a HELLE GT that I also use for hunting. Also I have a similar size tarp that I use for canoe and kayak camping in addition to my tent when with other people. We use it for a "dining fly" to cook and eat beneath.
Hey Erik, gotta say that out of all the videos out there this is the best. The fact that you didn't talk is what made this the best. I was at total peace while watching. Awesome video!
What a great video so calming, love the sound of the rain and crackel of the fire. It's a pleasure to watch and listen to instead of the guys who just sniff all through their vids didn't they ever learn to blow their nose. Thanks for this peaceful video.
And he uses a TRIPOD! The worst videos I see are the ones where they use one hand to do the work and the other hand to hold the camera. Tripods are not expensive.
Ya. I love mind to fill in the blanks of your camping trip. I like the silence over a goofy and repetitive conversation. Thanks
*Thanks for not talking, talking, talking. Excellent.*
Thats why i prefer these scandinavian channels. American/germans always talk so much and add music...
Lovely silence 🎥💚💛
Yes, yes, yes.
i like that he's talking in SOME videos when there's actual information to be shared.
Exactly. No words necessary 😎
This is, by far, my favorite video you’ve done. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched it just to relax and listen to the sounds of the rain.
My favorite sound in the world is a light rain hitting the tent.
Move to Washington State and you will love it there. LOL
Yesss.
My favorite sound is my gf moaning for more!😀😁😂
@@mr.wizard2974 someone else isn't "more"
@@Ronin-go1xn that b 4 sure 😁 good place to get lots of wet setup experience 😂
Well done, not a word spoken, not a word needed, the poetry was in the sound of the forrest.
almost 12:44
I heard music. Possibly banjos.
I bet there'd be some talking/swearing if the wind were blowing but at all.
Forest
It's great to be there
Erik Normark is the poete and painter without the words and brush
This is a wonderful video - tapping of the rain, crackling of the fire, clink of the kettle lid, the rustle of a packet of good coffee and no talking 👍👍👍
Excellent!!!! No talking, just action in a real world. Rain falling on a tarp, is a delicate music in itself. Very inspiring, thank you!
The sound of silence, at one with nature and peace within. Sheer bliss
I could smell the smoke, and when the wind blew it in my face, my eyes were watering. That was a wonderful experience. Thank you.
*Gif of little blonde girl looking at you like you're a weirdo*
wow, what an amazing video, nothing in the world sounds better than mother nature at her best!! simply amazing!!
This is a nice retreat for people who really appreciate the nature and quietness of the forests......with no talking, just the video with all natural sounds! Well done 👍
Idyllic. The green glade. The rain. The contrast of the dark coffee over the bright fire. Superb. Thank you.
I WOULD LIKE TO DRINK BEER IN A TENT!
14:31 That moment when you expect him to stop after a few, but he puts in five scoops. Like your coffee strong, eh? This video was a real pleasure to watch. It was really calming -- made me feel like I was right there in the woods with you.
The further north you go in sweden the stronger the coffee gets ;-)
Same feelings that I was there
I was saying to myself "do you want some water with your coffee" He like's it strong.
I hope that was instant coffee cause I hate coffee grounds in my coffee. ugh.
I thought he was going to stop after three scoops!! silly me!
How content does he look. Soaking it all in. The sounds, the scent and the sights of the forest. Who needs tablets, phones, apps, social media..when you have THIS! You lucky fecker.
This my favorite camping channel because he doesn't talk, he just lets nature do its thing. Much appreciated ++
I'm a 56 years old man.did that for years.and I haven't stop yet.have fun young man
Hi Joseph- Im 72 and still doing the same in good old Ontario. LOve the lakes around Sharbot lake and the Park.
TO HAVE FUN YOU NEED A YOUNG WOMAN AND NO COFFEE!😁😂😁
Always love a one-match campfire, especially in the rain. And your tarp has great fresh clean rainwater catchment. Cheers!
The gold standard in tarp, coffee and campfire videos.
Very refreshing. Thank you. I'm recouping from a minor surgery and want to get out and relax just like that. Camp fire, hot drink and cook out over the camp fire. Sigh
Felt like I was there .. smell the smoke, the chill of the rain, the drying from the fire. Wonderful photography. Thank you.
Sat in my house waiting for a good few days in the wild. This clip has really settled me and relaxed me, set my mind at rest. Thanks
Erik .. Mate .. I can watch this for whole of my life. Best thing is it comes without any music but only natural sound. This is the best video i have ever seen abt camping. After all we do camping for relaxation only. Cheers.. keep them cming.
Thanks :)
Even now I keep going back to this video to learn . Thank you and enjoy your weekend
You just made the best coffee within the nature. Just plain strong black coffee without any addetives.. Enjoy the moment!!!
Every time I watch your videos, smiling because of your thumbs up!
I really like your fire building technique. Smart, efficient, low impact. Makes me want to make sure I have my small axe or hatchet along for these type outings.

Every time he does the thumbs up I can’t help but giggle. I love it. Always puts a simile on my face
I like this kind of video, no talking, just set up camp, get a fire going, coffee and enjoy the rain !
The more I see it, the pure my soul becomes... Absolute Bliss...
Exactly how i have been erecting a tarp shelter for the last 50 years. The main guy line supports the weight of the tarp and the pressure put on it if a high wind picks up. good job with the video
These are the coolest outdoor rsaincamp videoes ive seen. The fire makes the video even better.
I think this is my favourite video on the internet. :) Thanks so much Erik
that sound of fire and rain. sooo great. thanks.
No speech, no subtitles, no goddamned shit muzak. Just natural wind and rain sounds in a beautiful rainy wilderness, and a skilled bushcrafter doing his stuff; with just a couple of thumbs up. Great vid!
Rainy camping... The taste is great. Sound of rain and the view of campgrounds are overwhelming. Wonderful~
Really relaxing video.......with the stars of the show being......... Earth, Air, Fire, and Water!!!!
Thanx.
super relaxing, hypnotic even.
A very peaceful and relaxing film Erik. It just proves that in life you really only need nature within a beautiful forest or mountain to find true contentment. 🏕
LiveSimplyFilms: Mountain Mike even better is mountains with forests
If you did that in Southern California, the whole mountain would be on fire!
Wow I feel so chilled out after watching that. Amazing.
You make this look so easy - - - - if I did this the bloody wind and rain would just get everywhere - but you look totally in control - - - thank you Erik for sharing - - I will watch and learn !
Something about raindrops on a tent that calms the soul. Even my 2yo was quiet for a whole 5 minutes watching this.
Crackling fire and raindrops on tarp... Could almost smell that coffee. Mmmm Mmmm Does not get better than that. Thank You
Beautiful shots, no unnecessary blabbing. Peaceful and beautiful. Love it!
I liked the way he coiled up his para cord at the end using a figure 8 wrap between his thumb and pinky finger. I also appreciated the natural sounds too, w/o the yabbering. I added this to my favorites.
One of my favorite videos man. Absolutely love it.

Thank you for sharing your video. I really enjoyed the peaceful sounds and what you did. I'll come back for your future bush crafting.

IT WOULD BE MORE COZY WITH A NAKED HOT FEMALE AND A COLD BEER!
The best video I’ve seen someone enjoying nature and a good cup of coffee ☕️ in the rain. Just the sound of rain and a fire 🔥. 🔥⛺️☕️👍👍
Thanks Aaron
That was stew not coffee lol
I really like your video because you chose to show how peaceful being in the woods is rather than add music. I love the sound of nature.
nice video... love the natural sound...raindrops and chopping away woods.
Love the silence in this clip. Superb video
Great video, the raindrops was doing the talking for you... pretty cool, love the rain as long as I can stay dry and warm
Nice video. I enjoyed the solitude and soft pitter-patter of the rain very much.
This is the most relaxing video I've ever watched. Couldn't stop once I started ...lol.

Great video!!! I love that it's raining in all your videos. And using wood for tinder we are spoiled with birch bark in North east

Good job, Erik. That's a great video. Greetings from Brazil.
What do you mean good job the guy just destroyed a part of the forest floor.
Really nice camera angles and great way to spend a peaceful day. I come from the rainy Pacific Northwest and am now living in a much drier area. Nice to see the green and hear the rainfall. Thanks for sharing as always!
Just the sound of nature and camp.. thank you for this...

One of the best channel..!! I am a daily viewer of ur channel...!!
The atmosphere is so serine and provides a sanctuary to tired soul surviving in a hasty numbing city
Very enjoyable story. Thanks for sharing.
So peaceful...and people wonder why I get outside to the woods as much as possible. Beautiful sounds and camera work 👌🏽💚
Boom that’s some coffee, I’m off this weekend to do the same, great inspiration for a bush coffee, it just tastes better
Thank you for a stunning fire at your camp site. I had to get up and make some coffee for myself after viewing this video.
Very lovely scenery. Well done!!!
Solid place and thumb's up when sipping the coffee. That was awesome.
I love the rain sounds, and the fog - and the calm tone of your videos. Greetings from New York State, USA.
I DID MY FIRST SOLO HIKE OVERNIGHT HIKE LAST WEEKEND. IT FELT AMAZING AS WE ARE DIRECT CONTACT WITH NATURE ALONE
GREAT COMPOSITION SOUNDS...
CHEERS
Best with a headphone. Nothing else to hear but the sound from the video. Better than meditating.
Hello Erik. I have subscribed to your channel. I like the way your videos are calm, peaceful and relaxing.
Thank you!
And he uses a TRIPOD! The worst videos I see are the ones where they use one hand to do the work and the other hand to hold the camera. Tripods are not expensive.
Looks very peaceful there. Awesome video thank you for sharing.
Good skills and good to watch, a genuine pleasure to see you out in the bush
I LIKE TO STAY IN THE BUSH!
