I agree with you for the most part, but it wasn't Ryan Murphy's choice not to bring Ryder, Marley, and Jake back. He said anyone and everyone who's been on Glee in the past was free to return for the final season if they wanted to. If they chose not to come back he can't force them to, even if he wants to. Besides, we don't even know for certain that they don't return at some point. It hasn't been confirmed one way or another if they took part in the final season yet.
It was wasn't supposed to end that way. It's just corys death changed everything. He already had his plans about finchel, the glee club. I really think it would've still be going because Finn would be coaching the new directions and then Rachel would come back and help as she said in corys tribute episode.
So, not only did they have to pull on our heart strings by having Marley turn into Rachel and Ryder turn into Finn (a performance that I always wanted to see on Glee!), but they have to flash us back into the pilot where Rachel and Finn TRIED to do it...oh the feels! (plus Kurt's "honey" in the pilot totally made me laugh)

I agree with you for the most part, but it wasn't Ryan Murphy's choice not to bring Ryder, Marley, and Jake back. He said anyone and everyone who's been on Glee in the past was free to return for the final season if they wanted to. If they chose not to come back he can't force them to, even if he wants to. Besides, we don't even know for certain that they don't return at some point. It hasn't been confirmed one way or another if they took part in the final season yet.
It was wasn't supposed to end that way. It's just corys death changed everything. He already had his plans about finchel, the glee club. I really think it would've still be going because Finn would be coaching the new directions and then Rachel would come back and help as she said in corys tribute episode.

So, not only did they have to pull on our heart strings by having Marley turn into Rachel and Ryder turn into Finn (a performance that I always wanted to see on Glee!), but they have to flash us back into the pilot where Rachel and Finn TRIED to do it...oh the feels! (plus Kurt's "honey" in the pilot totally made me laugh)
