@@UndergroundPaintKing yes it will, thanks great tips
I have a colleague for 7 years, to whom I say every day that he should turn the opening of the hardener and thinner upwards .... I don't want to work in a mess every day .....
my last chance ... I send him a link to this video 😁
😂😂😂 hopefully he gets it, thanks for checking me out 💪🏾
What would you say the shelf life is on reduced paint? Or is it even affected by the reducers?
There is no shelf life on the reduced paint as long as it isn't mixed with a hardner so if you ever go back to reuse make sure to shake or stir well and you should be good to go!
Hello, great video but I have one question. How do you know what reducer/catalyst or hardener to use with you auto paint.?? Will any or either type of reducer work? Again this is specifically Auto paint. Thx you
most automotive paints come with labels that give you a description of what reducer/catalyst to use with the paint...also most paints recommend that you use their brand reducer/catalyst with their brand paint and you normally don't want to mix brands so its best not to mix brands...I hope that helps and if not let me know
Yes that’s correct and I have the complete line factory custom coded base and the 2k clear catalyst/reducer etc. I only asked this because I bought a slow reducer and it’s not quite that hot here yet. Also I saw a video that said a slow reducer is better for metallic paints. Inwhich my first project is lol.. Well this is going to be fun either way.. It’s not a brand new car but it is a fine car and I think I can do it. Thanks so much for responding King❤️
My question is. How long does the R.T.S. last sitting around the shelf. This spring I plan on repainting my golf cart. So I could mix everything a day or 2 a head of time or should I just mix it then spray it.
The mixed paint will last for a long time, if you let it sit for a while just make sure you shake/ stir it well before spraying, you can mix a couple days before hand or same day as long as it’s not mixed with a catalyst/ hardener
Good job using grow reducer
Thanks I appreciate you!
👍🏽
Appreciate you BiggHomie💯
Do I need activator for nason base coat? On the can it says it need 8 parts paint to 1/2 part activator to 4 parts reducer but I've heard of ppl skipping it, or can I use clear coat hardener instead? The activator it says I need is hard to find
I have never had to use activator with it only reducer but you may have something that I haven't used so I try to stick with what is recommended but you can always do a spray out or test panel and see what results you get before spraying your actual project
@@UndergroundPaintKing the bumper turned out great thank you so much. I got a lot of orange peel but what can I expect with a cheap spray gun and small compressor. You are a great teacher
What if you need 4:1:2 which these cups dont have? Go by even number ounces? 4 ounce, 1 ounce, 2 ounce?
you could do it that way. your paint supplier should be able to provide a mixing cup with that mixing ratio on it.
when you're talking about the gloves were you also wearing a respirator because protecting your lungs is very important to
I appreciate the safety tip!
Can I use lacquer thinner?
If it's not a lacquer based paint you don't want to use lacquer
Wat 2.1 in metallic?
Are you asking about the mix ratio?
I'm a spray painter I want to work with you
where are you located?
That Nason paint is 25% tint 75% binder.... I dnt kno why ppl like it
Yeah Im not a big fan of Nason
to much eco bro.
probably because im doing the video in the paint booth
bro you talk a lot of non sense i recommend to say only what needed to be hear dont just unload everything on you mind and whatever you explaining explain it just once
you welcome 😊
