They make a package, ship it to a port, load it on a boat, off load it, put it on a truck, take it to a distribution center, consolidate it into a truck for a particular store, off some boxes onto the loading dock, unpack the box and put them on a shelf. Count them for inventory some times, answer my question about where they are, and check me out. Doesn’t leave much to make the drivers. I’m impressed. Hope you bought a cordless drill while you were there to make up for it.

Have had one of those sets for several years…not too bad, doesn’t hurt to lose one, great for neighbor borrows, great for small tool kit in my car, cheap way to build a starter kit for kids.
I’m sure a pro using a screwdriver on a Dailey basis needs a good quality driver at all times, but if you’re a DIY’er …not too bad. Loved this video!

I have had this set for over 15 years. I forgot the screw holding screw driver as it died so soon after I got it. They have held up far better than I thought they would. Especially since I have treated them as disposable. Oddly enough I paid the same amount. As I tell people, you know what is worse than a Harbor Freight tool? Not having any tool.

Well another pleasant mid week surprise from Magdad! I think your review was a good one. For someone who uses tools every day it might not be such a good deal but an occasional user or someone starting out it would be okay I guess. I think the big purchasing factor is the price. Thanks Magdad, that was a thorough and honest review, I know exactly the smell you're talking about - not pleasant, it's quite amazing just how cheaply they can turn out these tools so we have to be realistic in our expectations I guess, a set of twelve for less than you'd pay for one from Klein, Wera or Wiha ! You have often shown us how cheaply you can pick up vintage screwdrivers at yard sales and flea-markets and although they tend to need restoration these new ones also needed fettling to bring them up to scratch, I'd bet that the steel would be better in the old ones though ! You made me smile with the "Pokey Thing", thanks again for taking the time to test them and share your findings.

Hi Magdad, That Set Has Been Around A Long Time. I Never Really Thought About Buying It Because I Figured It Was Junk. I Had Bought One of Their Other Screwdriver Sets That Was Cheap ( The Six Piece Pittsburgh Black Handled 6pc. Set ) That Is Good For Handles ! So Yours Looks To Be A Better Deal . Especially For the Price. Even With Some Sanding. Good Fair Honest Review! Nice Job 👍

I knew you couldn’t resist tinkering with the screwdriver set to give it that Magdad finish touch. As far as the magnetism goes, that can always be enhanced in the shop, and the biggy for me on drivers is finding handles long enough and with bigger diameter handles to fit my hand comfortably. Liked your review, and I will be getting a set to put with my RV tool kit, I think they would fit the bill nicely. Thanks for the review, enjoyed watching.

I’ve purchased some Icon tools from HF as well as some of their Quinn brand and been quite happy. Some of the lower use sockets I have are Pittsburgh, especially the impact ones, and they’ve also held up well. Not everything is a winner at HF but they seem to have upped their game in the last few years.

I missed this review, but thanks to Scoutcrafter I am seeing it. I got that set a couple of years ago for either free or a couple bucks. They will do the job for light duty work. That was a very detailed review. Similar to some of my findings regarding a few Harbor Freight products. Sometimes not the best, but most times I can find a place where they would work. At first, I was impressed to see the screw holder driver included. My thought was that alone may be worth the price of the kit. It was a good try. Like you, I do like the hexed shafts. I got these cheap on a promotion a few years ago and the entire time I’ve owned them they have stayed in my work truck as a quick go to set in the need of an emergency. I took a small old 4x4 block and drilled holes to fit the corresponding drivers to keep them together as a complete set. I’ve broken the large flat head tip probably three times using and abusing it as a chisel or pry bar during certain situations but the lifetime warranty is the cherry on the top with these and all of Harbor Freights hand tools.

They don't make em' like they used too. 🧐 I actually need drivers without rubber or rubberized handles. I am a CNC machinist, coolant and oil practically melts the rubber/rubberized handles.

The cushion rubber grips would not be a good choice for you.

The handles would have been better if they were just solid plastic without the stinky rubber.

It's a cheap nickel plating rather than an expensive chrome plating.
    Another fake advertising from PRC.

The package doesn't mention the plating. Chrome Vanadium refers to the steel alloy.

To me, they're cheap Chinese junk. You get what you pay for here. Grips not so great, plating defects (btw, I don't think that's a chrome plating, looks more like nickel), grinding defects, highly doubtful they're chrome-vanadium. As soon as you'll put more torque the tips might strip out, get chewed up. I have some Chinese screwdrivers that are also cheap but the quality is much better than these and they have a solid steel striking cap, full tang construction, hexagonal shaft and proper tips. But I suppose that if you have nothing else and you're in a hurry these will do. Tip selection also very limited on these.
