I was one of the uteri me underwhelmed by the twist in _Conclave,_ and it wasn’t because of the… identity (shall we say) of the pope, but rather the fact that the identity changed virtually nothing about who they were or how they would serve as pope. My reaction upon learning the twist was, “Oh…. Okay cool…. Wait, that’s IT??”
@@magdalayna17 I see what you mean. I also kinda saw it as he didn't even know he was making a deal with the devil in the first place. Side note: I love that you disagreed with my interpretation without attacking or insulting me. Love to see positive interactions on the internet
@@HalloweenR5 likewise! I love reading other interpretations! One of my favorite ghost stories is The Turn of the Screw, and I love the debate over whether the ghosts are real or in the governess's mind. I am very familiar with all the scholarship--including what James himself believed, that the ghosts were "imps"--yet I had a grad school teacher tell me flat out my interpretation was wrong, haha. It's literature (and film), not math! :)
When will you learn to make a good video and not spoil movies for people? Add timestamps or put just the name of the movie in the transitions and not the twist. There are people who just want to find movies with good plot twists, and your videos could be informational if they were made with some sense.
Long legs was... weird to say the least... but it is another brilliant example of what one the greatest actors of all time will do to pay off debts and to dig themselves out of bakruptcy. Like Willie's Wonderland, im actually thoroughly enjoying Nick's more recent movies. JOE was also fucking amazing. Nick Cage is one of the most controversial actors ever. You either love him, or you hate him. But nobody can say he isnt brilliant in anything he's in. Even his early days, he cemented his ability to play a psychopath with Vampire's Kiss. That freak out scene. And recently his spot on Trump impersonation in Colors out of Space. Fucking genius.
Great analysis, thank you! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
6:01 sci-fi comedy? The science fiction in this film is a bare plot device. Nothing wrong with that, but it's like calling Terms of Endearment an action flick because there are a few actions taken in the film. I would also not class this as a comedy. There are comedic moments, but that is not the focus, and the characters aren't written as comic relief. It's both a coming of age film and a wistful meditation on time, aging, and death.
time travel/body swap-typs tropes fall under sci-fi. pretty much scifi light. it's not high fantasy or anything but there's not another genre it fits into neatly. so scifi dramedy is what it is.
@@fredfeit3325 you might wanna sit down when i tell you this but Nintendo has been around since the 1890s my friend. I kinda get your point but that is an objectively funny example to use
I'm pretty sure Jackie becoming giant is entirely symbolic.
It 100% is. Definitely not a plot twist.
Yup. Didn’t even question it not being symbolic tbh 😂
Either way, it was an idiotic end to the film
Yeah, don't put timecodes in the description, just assume everyone has seen all films ever.
Make a better video

Delroy didn't purposely sacrifice his wife., though. Like many deals with the devil, he didn't know what the price was going to be
I like your interpretation, but I do think it is ambiguous. We can't know how much he understood about what he was agreeing to.

Best Marvel cameo no contest is seeing Blade in Deadpool
Absolutely knew Evans was Torch not cap, but the whole cinema lost their shit at seeing blade, 100% unexpected.
She didn’t actually become a giant though did she? So how’s that a plot twist?

How did i miss the movie with the giant Muscle Mommy?
Not my favorite Chris
Chris Evans played Johnny Storm in the early 2000's. The "mid" 2000's, won't happen for 25 more years!
No bro LMAO. 2000s, 2010s, 2020s etc😂😂😂. We don't count time by 100s until the end of the century
