    So so strange, that this is only one video on RUclips adresses this. Everyone suggesting Bulgarian split squat etc. when it's totally different. I do 100kg on those for reps, but can't even do one pistol squat because as soon as I go below 90° my QUADRICEPS TENDON is so weak. Thx doc❤👌🏻💪🏻

    Hi! I'm 22 and I'm a volleyball player and I'm facing quad tendon tear since last year, when it happened it just started pain, no swelling or something, after 2 months the pain almost gone but there is stiffness. There still some stiffness, sometimes it hurts at night when I do things too much, my doc suggested some isometrics that didn't helpful. My leg can accept load, it's explosive and it can do all the things that I need, but I feel abnormal every time specially at night. what exercise do you suggest me to do?

    I get a very sharp intense pain at the top of my patella but only when I flex my quad really hard. Is it my quad tendon causing this pain? My PT said it’s likely just from my quad being tight and to foam roll and stretch my quad

    I think I have this I got into a bike wreck a year ago and had tendon reconstruction surgery in February of 2022 but I cannot run or bear too much weight on my left leg because I feel a sharp pain in the top of my knee even after 7 month post op surgery I’m starting to be a little discouraged but I am trying to stay positive about it

      Stay positive Kendall! Recovery can take a little time but slow and steady will get you back to cycling soon. Best in recovery.

    Hi Michel! Does long time standing for hours will make quad tendon pain worse?

    • @MichaelBraccio
      @MichaelBraccio  Год назад

      Depends on the sensitivity. But there’s not a lot of load on the quad tendon while standing.

    I fell 3 times one year on my right knee, and ever since my quadricep on that leg hurts when I move my leg at a certain angle or when I do pull in crunches with my legs

      Potentially a scar tissue thing. Best to get an evaluation to figure out what is going on.

    Hi Michael, my knee hurts when I get into too much knee flexion because of my quad tendon issues. How would I regress the isometric exercise you showed for the quad tendon?

    • @MichaelBraccio
      @MichaelBraccio  Год назад +3

      Hey there. I usually just perform them in less knee flexion and gradually work into more as tolerated.

    • @samshermalhi9396
      @samshermalhi9396 Год назад +1

      @@MichaelBraccio got it! So probably a lower box than the one you used? And to perform the isometric I just press into the box with my foot and actively contract my quad?

    • @MichaelBraccio

      @@samshermalhi9396 Exactly.

    • @antonpohrebniak
      @antonpohrebniak Год назад

      @@samshermalhi9396 I do exactly this: step on high box with one leg and press up like first 10% of pistol squat and hold it there. Also, if bilateral I do slow deep squats and stay down there for 6-7 seconds trying to keep tension on quads, can go heavy for 1-2 reps. Finally, probably slow Reverse Nordics will be good, I'm just trying to implement now, it's a bit painful but I hope will increase tendon strength. Just sharing what I did in case it's might be useful ❤

    U mean that if I have quadriceps tendonitis so I should work less the 90 degrees ? 🙏🏽

    • @MichaelBraccio
      @MichaelBraccio  Год назад

      The quadriceps tendon is loaded more with deeper knee flexion. So it depends if you can tolerate those movements or not.
