There's something wrong with the sound, the heavy base and dark nature of the noises has changed to a more light version. The Graphics are amazing, but the sound and timing of the visuals is very much off from the original. And I'm not just saying that because I've been playing d2 since it released.
Noticed this too ESPECIALLY with Tyreal's voice. Tyreal had a booming echo of a clear voice. In the new cinematic, it's tinny and not boomy. Even Marius had a more gravelly voice in the original and spoke slower.
Because the stone was fractured while chasing Baal. It became too weak to hold the Prime Evil on it's own, the way it held Diablo and Mefisto. So out of all Horadrim, Tal Rasha made a voluntary choice to contain the demon within the stone enhanced by his own body. So I guess that, after removing the stone, it wasn't enough to contain Baal as it was an integral part of the prison weakening him and so, he was released, at least in a form of reanimated corpse of Tal Rasha. The remainder of his essence was still contained in the stone however, which is probably why he still needed to reclaim it to gain full strength. Still, he wasn't as bound by it, as Diablo and Mefisto were. At least that's the way I see it.

The original act 3 cinematic has always been my favorite one and the remastered version of it does not change that one bit. Baal as Tal Rasha had a very unique and inhuman look with a bony and distorted face and creepy movements. When grabbing the sword in the original cinematic Baal is still in the process of breaking free which makes him look way more powerful and scarier, because even though he is still being attached to his prison it almost takes him no effort to disarm Tyrael. It's like he is using his little finger to beat him. When Baal is moving towards Tyrael in the original he almost looks like a demonic puppet with strings hanging down. This is stuff horror movies are made of. The puppet analogy actually makes sense if you consider the "strings" were part of his imprisonment and were tying him down. Comparing this to the new version I'm pretty much disappointed. Is a zombie with dreads supposed to look cool? Well, maybe it comes down to personal preference, but imo with his new look he could be mistaken for a small generic zombie boss in some random cave. But it's not just the design of that character that disappoints me, the entire atmosphere is less dark and in the original they put so much more emphasis on details like the camera movement from Tyrael to Baal following the tentacle. Comparing that shot by shot makes the remake look almost boring.
The original made it look like Tyrael was actually struck down by Baal, not just disarmed. My first impression back then was that Tyrael might actually die here, or be imprisoned, or who knows what, because he seemed to be *bound* by that tentacle. The reason Tyrael can't hit Diablo is because angels are prohibited from interfering with the mortal world , they can't change things cause they are not allowed to interefere
Diablo lore speaks of the austerity of angels. Poor Marius is commanded and expected to run across a scorching desert, traverse an ocean, enter demon-infested Kurast, travel to Hell (!) and somewhere in the inferno find the Hellforge and destroy the Soulstone... alone (And then what, go back home?) Tyrael has no bleeding heart for mortals. Totally impossible quest, but maybe that was the point - Tyrael knew that there was little hope for saving mankind from the Three.

Here Diablo throws himself on Tyrael and then is on total defense, avoiding his sword like it's a real threat - which for me kinda doesn't make sense.
