A couple important things about Sean as an interviewer. Second the team does a lot of research into the guest and get the standard boilerplate question out of the way on the first wing to satisfy whichever studio setup the interview, and then dives into things the guest is passionate about allowing them to feel comfortable talking about the things they rarely get asked about because the mainstream talk show doesn't invest enough time to research what a guest is passionate about.

I like the wow-moments from Sean when his guests show they know a little bit of him aswell. Courteney knowing he was from Evanston and Sean's reaction to that ;) those little moments really makes these interviews a treat
Yup, I noticed she complimented a couple people (not present) and specifically mentioned how nice they were 🙂. Nice people generally recognize other nice people!
She is so sweet and lovely. I read an interview once where she described herself as shy. Shy people are mistaken as aloof but they get scared in crowds of people. This 1 to 1 interview allowed her personality to shine
You just described me, Im Shy which I think comes across as aloof as you said, but Ive always thought I'd like to be interviewed, I think I'd feel more confident in that situation.
My favourite thing in ANY episode, is when Sean inevitably asks something so vague and/or unique, that the person being interviewed reacts in shock at his level of knowledge. He is one of THE best celebrity interviewers.
Sean trying to say "Put my pants on one leg at a time" is exactly why this show is so successful. Huge celebrities come on this show and struggle through answering brilliant questions.
"the parking lot of a Slayer concert" is the kind of reference I am here for. Between this and toasting Pantera with Grohl, I wanna be friends with Sean.
Sean was star struck. I wonder how many times he comes away from these interviews being like, wow I can't believe I interviewed them for a chicken show
Sean is such a good host. Not only is he relatable to the person he is interviewing and always matching their vibe and trying to amp them up but his questions are always so complete and diverse. you'd think another person would only talk to courtney about friends and rumors and gossip, Sean however makes it comfortable and fun for both him, the interviewee, and the viewers as well.
was being the operative word, she's gone down the typical celeb route of plastic surgery & now looks like a freak - darned shame as she used to be beautiful...
I love how all the actors are like wow I've never had great questions like this. Other talk show hosts always want to ask you about your most embarrassing stuff that's online etc he actually wants to know about their work.
sean deserves some kind of honorary golden globe or emmy for his interview skills...after all these years literally EVERY guest has that "wow how did u know that" moment. lets get the rest of the friends cast
Honestly, this is one of my favorite FWF- Hot Ones episode to date! I love that Courtney was familiar with the show but not so big a fan to be arrogant about her hot sauce skill. I loved her candor, her insight, her respect to Sean, all of it. Great episode.
Sean is a legend and people have said so much already but it's his constant positive reinforcement what I absolutely adore. He encourages his guests and tells them they're doing so well. :")
My favorite thing about this show is watching the person across the table stare into Sean's eyes as they bite into the wing. Using him as sort of a crutch, and support system as their taste buds get absolutely destroyed! It's really beautiful
My favourite thing when watching Hot Ones is when someone points out how great Sean and his team are. They do such extensive research it's amazing! Someone should make a compilation of everytime a celebrity is surprised by his question
Sean is the only interviewer who sounds more interested in the other person's life and their work than the actual person being interviewed. It's a fine key to opening a door of comfortability.
12:30 the day The great interviewer Sean Evans showed his mortality. A moment I thought I’d never see👏🏾 amazing journey, amazing series 🏆thank you Hot Ones
Sean started with some of the most lesser-known celebrities in S1 and now keeps on brining in some of the biggest stars every episode. I'm happy how big this show turned out to be. Well done Sean!
I think the questions here work even better because they aren’t getting asked by a million people, but it was a great episode, this season has been outta the park
I don't always come for the celebrities. But I always come for Sean. His ability to interview people is phenomenal! He's truly a master. And I don't think he knows it! That's why he's so good, it's natural to him, effortless.
Those interviews manages to be funny, insightful, light and even heartwarming sometimes. Bravo to sean, the celebs always seems to have a great time and enjoying the questions
It's really interesting to see how these "petite" women who are super, madly successful in Hollywood for a longer time, come to the show and rock it. Their hardness is on another level to be at the top of Hollywood for decades and it shows in their tolerance to handle the pain of insane spice. Tough cookies all the way. Mad respect.
Wow she handled this very well, hardly took any drinks! The preparation she did paid off. When you look at others like Gordon Ramsey freaking out, this is incredible. I love Courtney all the way back to the 80s. I would have asked about Springsteen and Family Ties, but this is probably before Sean's time
Wow! She handled it like a champ! When someone starts by saying they don't do spicy, you're expecting them to melt down by the end. She kept it together amazingly. Great job Courtney!
So enjoy Sean's interview style. So genuine and knowledgeable (appreciate he has a team behind him) would not be surprised if there's big things in his future.
I’d love to see Paris Hilton come back and do an ‘in person’ Hot Ones experience. She did great with doing it for zoom but I’d really like to see her on set! Also, Joseph Gordon Levitt. I’d love to see him in person on your set! The zoom ones just hit different.
Sean is an absolute unit of a human being. So smart, polite, and disarming and just brings out the best in every guest he interviews. What a fantastic show.
I was thinking the same exact thing as her right before she said it herself. It's very impressive that he asks the things he does without a script to read from. He does his homework. And I always get a kick from the added audio effects when a sauce is really getting to someone 😂

I have a friend who worked as her assistant. Said he became very depressed. She would cheat on her husband (who was also a dear friend of his). He would have to devote his life to being her assistant and it drained him mentally. And apparently she’s super mean …
@@kevinarriaga3811 yeah sure. That's why David and her are still close, considering she "cheated" on him 😒
@@kevinarriaga3811 nice story totally “ believable “ 😂
I like the wow-moments from Sean when his guests show they know a little bit of him aswell. Courteney knowing he was from Evanston and Sean's reaction to that ;)
those little moments really makes these interviews a treat
Courtney is so nice... even when she doesn't like a sauce, she apologizes to it first before saying she doesn't like it! :)
Love you Courtney!
Yup, I noticed she complimented a couple people (not present) and specifically mentioned how nice they were 🙂. Nice people generally recognize other nice people!
wasn't even just a sauce, it was Da Bomb.. Which has zero redeeming qualities
Sean: *Poses an eloquently crafted question *
Also Sean: I put my legs on.
Those wings were destroying both of them
She is so sweet and lovely.
I love how she’s so chill. I wanna be friends with her (no pun intended) so bad. loved her in the new scream also. underrated actor honestly
My favourite thing in ANY episode, is when Sean inevitably asks something so vague and/or unique, that the person being interviewed reacts in shock at his level of knowledge. He is one of THE best celebrity interviewers.
Courtney with the “I’m not even a nerd like that” is so on-par with this entire video lol
The poise Courtney kept through this is absolutely laudable. Loved this one.
There is no way Sean could have dreamed "First We Feast" would be such a hit when he first started this.
I think you mean "Hot Ones".
She did better than I thought! Kudos!
Kudros!
Im glad she cud live upto your expectations
Her face is probably numb from all the plastic.
@@dustincronin7260 Comment I was coming in with. Nice job.
Same! Even before hearing her say she doesn't do spice, I was like, " I hope she doesn't tap out early". I was so impressed
I have always thought that Courtney and David had the best and most believable brother/sister dynamic. They were great
Sean was star struck. I wonder how many times he comes away from these interviews being like, wow I can't believe I interviewed them for a chicken show
Sean's ability to memorise all his questions and then coherently deliver those questions in a flawless way will forever amaze me
Sean is such a good host.
She always seems down to earth and a genuinely nice person.
Well she handled the wings like a pro. Not what I expected when she started with saying that she didn't do spice. Way to go
Sean is so good at what he does! He interviews so naturally and seems like the nicest guy
When everyone was crushing on Rachel, I was crushing on Monica lol. Great get, Sean.
was being the operative word, she's gone down the typical celeb route of plastic surgery & now looks like a freak - darned shame as she used to be beautiful...
Why does no one have love for phoebe tho lol
Same
@@diondrajohnson9115 Phoebs had the best personality 👍
@@Farlig69 Oh I know. A shame but it is what it is in this day and age unfortunately.
I love how all the actors are like wow I've never had great questions like this. Other talk show hosts always want to ask you about your most embarrassing stuff that's online etc he actually wants to know about their work.
One of the best episodes! Great chemistry and they look like having so much fun and respect towards each other. Love love them both
sean deserves some kind of honorary golden globe or emmy for his interview skills...after all these years literally EVERY guest has that "wow how did u know that" moment. lets get the rest of the friends cast
Honestly, this is one of my favorite FWF- Hot Ones episode to date! I love that Courtney was familiar with the show but not so big a fan to be arrogant about her hot sauce skill. I loved her candor, her insight, her respect to Sean, all of it. Great episode.
I thought that same thing. She was unbelievably as lovable in person as on tv or movies.
I love Charlize too 👍😍
Such a calm presence. This was a really enjoyable interview!
Sean is a legend and people have said so much already but it's his constant positive reinforcement what I absolutely adore. He encourages his guests and tells them they're doing so well. :")
For a person who "don't do spicy food", Courtney did really well. Seans questions were on point as usual :)
I love when people recognize Sean's interviewing skills. 😎
I'm still in love with Courteney after all these years. She dug in to real wings, often went back for another bite, and was a really fun interview.
My favorite thing about this show is watching the person across the table stare into Sean's eyes as they bite into the wing. Using him as sort of a crutch, and support system as their taste buds get absolutely destroyed! It's really beautiful
Capsaicin works on your pain receptors and doesn't affect your taste buds at all.
I mean, uh, me too, bro. Me too
@@danm8004 wow
Like when Johnny Knoxville said Is it wierd I'm making eye contact😂😂😂😂
@@Sd73lola YES!!! 🤣 It is, but it isn't at the same time 🤦♂️🤣
When Courteney said "That's hot" my head immediately said "I KNOW!"
Courtney is such a delight! She had me cheering her on the whole time! And she did great! Awesome episode.
My favourite thing when watching Hot Ones is when someone points out how great Sean and his team are. They do such extensive research it's amazing! Someone should make a compilation of everytime a celebrity is surprised by his question
She could have KILLED this with one simple line "I'm find"...I was SO waiting for it! lol
I love how attentive she was to his questions. I swear Sean needs to teach a class on research!
You really think he is the person doing the research... that would be his production team
Welcome to my Masterclass - Sean Evans.
@@cr5cc it’s not that serious bruh 😂
I think the questions here work even better because they aren’t getting asked by a million people, but it was a great episode, this season has been outta the park
With nardwuar
I don't always come for the celebrities. But I always come for Sean. His ability to interview people is phenomenal! He's truly a master. And I don't think he knows it! That's why he's so good, it's natural to him, effortless.
She will always have a place in my heart as Monica.
Mines as Gale
Courtney comes across as such a pleasant guest. The two of them really seemed to be enjoying their time together. What a wholesome episode.
Those interviews manages to be funny, insightful, light and even heartwarming sometimes. Bravo to sean, the celebs always seems to have a great time and enjoying the questions
I love when people hype up Sean man he deserves it
This was just such a lovely and wholesome interview.... Sean being his usual amazing self but Courtney is just so sweet and personable :)
Mad respect.
hollywood is a work space built around small pretty smart and petite women only. so yeah. that’s kinda how it works.
My daughter is 20 and addicted to friends. It's been off the air for as long as she's been alive. 🤣😂. Great episode!
Ahaha I’m 30 and addicted to friends. I grew up listening to my parents watch it and now I love it just as much 😍
Has it been that long?!?
@@mmawithsubtitles7460 it ended in 2004 so 18 years ago
I’d love to see Paris Hilton come back and do an ‘in person’ Hot Ones experience. She did great with doing it for zoom but I’d really like to see her on set! Also, Joseph Gordon Levitt. I’d love to see him in person on your set! The zoom ones just hit different.
Yeah, when Courtney said "that's hot" my mind immediately went HOW COME THEY'VE NEVER HAD PARIS AS A GUEST?!
This season is seriously stacked with some of my favorite people!
Every Episode one great person joins us with their talent and charm, and then of course the other person being the special guest/celebrity
