Preach, Mal!!! 🙏🏾 I've been doing product design for a long time, code +25% my designs, and the #1 issue I have with devs is "getting in the room" to collaborate. From my experience, just getting devs to collaborate asynchronously is like pulling teeth. Look, I get it. Devs have a lot on their plate and meetings are often seen as an "unnecessary" evil rather than an opportunity to do good work. Big-tech will often encentivise devs based on the number of PRs rather than the impact of a sprint/feature over time. Designers are trained to focus on user outcomes, and cross-collaboration while devs can't find enough isolation and output in a day. It's Venus & Mars, but… damn, man… we're handing you the specs on a plate. You could at least show up to the meal. [end rant]
