Great job at explaining these spot cleaners. I just bought the Bissell little green spot cleaner. I was thinking about buying the hover clean slate but now I'm glad I bought the Bissell. Excellent video and comparison. We have a SpotClean Pro and love it, definitely does an amazing job cleaning and removing solution due to it's high suction, but after a year the hose has disintegrated, so we just ordered a CleanSlate to save some money as I don't want to buy a SpotClean every year if I can avoid it. Glad to see the CleanSlate can work decently well, we'll see in person if it's comparable enough.
Thanks for sharing your experience! I'm looking to purchase a SpotClean Pro and was wondering what you meant by the hose disintegrating? Did it break apart into smaller pieces or become fragmented?
@@tsipliontsip the hose eventually yellowed, became a little more brittle, and then the part where it attaches to thr handle ripped apart. We always made sure to rinse it by sucking up tons of clean water after use as well. But we may be going back to the Spotclean Pro, on our high pile carpet with thick carpet pad, it definitely worked better, just a shame on its longevity. The Hoover is nicely designed, they just need to maybe also offer a pro version that puts out more fluid from the nozzle, has a smaller head, and a little bit stronger motor. It definitely works just not a fan of the carpet still being fairly damp.
Do you think the hoover is good enough for thin area rug and spot cleaning stains on the couch? The hoover is on clearance at a store near me for only $65 compared to the pet pro $140. Do you think the pet pro is worth more than double the price?
@@HannahNguyen-bx6rn double, no. The Hoover is perfectly adequate, but it’s exactly that, adequate.
