Years back I reluctantly bought one of these models when my cylinder vacuum packed up. It was on sale ( I reckon they wanted to shift this Model to make way for the newer one) Long story short, best Dyson that ever was. ❤
Gosh can you imagine how unreliable a Bluetooth/WiFi Dyson would be? 😂 The chip would be 15 years old and you'd have to pay a monthly fee to have it do anything. Then when the machine does the pulse of death the app will just tell you to clean the filters forever more! Or just order you a return box automatically 😂
@ They’ve already tried Bluetooth products in the past with the 360 eye and failed (dramatically). The only slightly helpful thing might be diagnostics for what caused stuff like the thing breaking every 5 seconds but I don’t think Dyson’s electrical engineers are that equipped.
12:54 I remember not to long ago cleaning my DA001 and putting the cyclone back on, and the sigh of relief when I got it back on without snapping it. Considering how brittle and sun damaged it is, I’m hoping I won’t have to take it back off again any time soon.
Yep! I rememebr back in the day when I'd have 10 from the tip, before they go brittle a good sharp swing up got them off easily! Wouldn't dare do that now, if you do then break it you've got to find a cyclone the same sort of faded as the rest of the machine or it'll look odd 😂
@@beko1987 Very true, I think even finding a cyclone and bin for a Dc01 is starting to get harder these days, and the DA001’s well I think there’s one cyclone and bin on eBay but sadly the carry handle sticker is a bit worn off, which seems to be a common problem with the DA001s. On my DA001 the original carry handle sticker was badly worn off, but luckily in my spares I had a not the best looking DA001 cyclone and bin that had a Very good condition carry handle sticker on it, so I did the very painful procedure of removing the good conditioned one from the spare cyclone and putting it on my DA001s original cyclone😂. Eventually I’m going to upload a video on my channel of my DA001.
@Retrovintage90 my handle sticker was mint on mine when I got it. I saw it wash off with my own eyes, the only time I've ever had that on anything I've ever washed 😂
@@beko1987 I remember when you stripped it down to refurbish it and seeing the photos on the Manchester Vacs forum. One thing I noticed on your DA001 and others I’ve seen is the brush roll ends are yellow, but on mine they’re black like a regular DC01 early model.
I wore one of those completely out 10 years ago surprised any have survived , the impellor fan disintegrates on the motor , the plastic degrades the brush bearings wear out the plastic surrounding in the brushes cracks and falls apart and the flexi hose splits in multiple places etc etc , all of which i replaced and repaired / bodged for many years untill i finally gave up on it . However i never broke my handle off .
Good old Amtek runs like new, Lots of spares i could use in Dyson spare parts deprived Holland :) the plug and cord for a start. So many ‘imported’ Dysons were cut off to fix our plugs…in fact my oldest DC01 suffers from that …
@ for sure they will, I bought some parts from mvvacs pre brexit, but with importtax added, its not really ‘worth’ for collecting purposes. That DC01 cable is worth nothing and would costs more than the whole DC01 Will ever be worth.. Yours vids continue to be an inspiration Sam ! Love’em all !!
I bought one of those! Hideous machine! Stupidly a couple of years, and models later, I went and bought another! I feel I should have been sectioned at the time🤣
Good evening, and happy New year, vacuum cleaner friends, i recently finished a vorwerk kobold 131,and a 131sc,they both got a deep cleaning, and the 131sc got New genuine vorwerk filters.
sam is his name and unshittifying vacuums is his game 🤣

"Bluetooth handle" meanwhile at Dyson: "WRITE THAT DOWN, WRITE THAT DOWN"

@beko1987 their robots are already wifi enabled, so it's only a matter of time until they release a wifi enabled stick vac
@@RJA_World Both WiFi & Bluetooth, Bluetooth for the app, WiFi i'm honestly not sure why.
@megatronskneecap The wifi is to connect the robot to the dyson network. The Bluetooth is only for inital set up, once that's done it's only wifi.

Its cool how old dysons last soo long compared to the new ones
That seems to be the case with all vacuums.
@ValVacsA-LOT appart from miele and sebo
Starts the intro just casually taking the handle off a Dyson 😂😂

you can unhinge the cyclone from the body by just lifting it up as much as you can but slowly
Every single Dyson I’ve come in contact with has been rubbish! Way too hard to work on as well.
