This was one of those songs I had to put a blank cassette in the tape player, and hot record and play at the same time because they played it on the radio. 🤣🤣 I haven’t thought about this song in years, and I can’t believe I found it! Wow. I’m OLD.

I am probably one of best videos of Mtv's golden era. "A Fine Fine Day" (Tony Carey) "In My House" (Mary Jane Girls) "Uptown Girl" Billy Joel "Tonight I'm Yours" (Rod Stewart) and any of Tom Petty's videos are a few of the others.

I was looking thru Billboard's Archive of 1984 songs on the charts for DEC 22 and saw this at number 72 and I didn't quite remember it from 9th grade. Well here I am and wow! I remember now and I haven't heard this gem I bet since December 1984. What a great lil' tune. Just makes me miss the 80s even more than I already do. Remember how awesome life was and America was in the 80s?!

I heard this song on the radio only once or twice in the latter half of 1984, when I was in 8th grade. I always remembered the piano chords and the line “every day is just another page in this tragedy,” something I’ve found myself saying as an adult during harder times. I don’t know WHY I didn’t try entering that line before!

solo & with The Hounds somehow he flew under the radar of super stardom but one thing for sure left his mark on the local late 70's and 80's Chicago area and beyond. Two great albums with The Hounds and 2 more solo discs,
just transffered them from vinyl to CD.
Hope he's doing well and hits the scene again someday.

From a fantastic album called "Famous At Night". His next album ("More Than Meets The Eye") is even better. Really it's one of the best albums of the 80s. "Why Does It Have To Rain", "Alphabet Girls", "Breathless", "1949 Dormatory Drive" are the first four and possibly the best first four on any CD ever. A classic blend of synth driven new wave (this guy is a great keyboardist) huge drums and funky bass and solid rock guitar work. Big harmonies, even more powerful vocals on that album as well.
